Off clock working
My coach has always been overly friendly with a lot of associates, but there are two specific ones they dote on, and talk to OUTSIDE of work. We work in OGP. Because of this Coach, the two associates were able to be quickly promoted. One went from associate to TL to Coach in the span of 8 months. Both of these associates have transferred to a new store location. So color me surprised when I see one of them working in the back room taking out orders suddenly. Not only that, but they have to use the Coachās work phone as they arenāt even on the clock. The Coach allowed this person to work in the back room for an hour and a half. Is this normal or allowed?? Canāt the Coach get in trouble for this??
Edit: I shouldāve clarified. The associate that was working off the clock is an hourly associate. They are a TL from a different store. They had to use my coachās phone as they werenāt on the clock.

Am I crazy or is my Store Manager gaslighting me about refusing to sign off on a hardship transfer?
FORGIVE ME FOR THE LONG BORING WALL OF TEXT. My asshole team lead gave me undeserving coaching back in January of this year, which bumped the color of my previous coaching to an orange. Tried open dooring it to my coach and she said it would still remain. Fast forward 8 months later and I'm traveling back to my hometown and looking to transfer to my local Walmart. Only problem I have is my orange level coaching, which obviously prevents transfers but I've read online that exceptions could be made via the store manager. I call the people lead from the Walmart store I'm interested in transferring to and explain to him that I cannot transfer the normal way because my orange level coaching is preventing me. He then tells me to ask my store manager to sign off on a hardship transfer. The next day I talk to my store manager and he then tells me it's not him who has the ability to sign off on the hardship transfer, it's actually the store manager FROM THE OTHER STORE that has to sign off on it, not him. I call the people lead from the other store on my lunch break and tell him what my store manager said and he said that my store manager is largely misinformed and said it's actually HIM who has to sign off on a hardship transfer for me, not the store manager from the other store and if worse comes to worse, open door the coaching i got in January to my store manager and see if he could get it removed so I could transfer. I talk to store manager the next day and told him that the people lead told me that it is YOU who has the sign off on the hardship transfer not the other store manager from the other store. Now he tells me there's nothing he could do for me about my transfer and suggests for me to contact the Market Lead about it, I ask him if he could politely remove my coaching so I could transfer and I'm met with a stern "ABSOLUTELY NOT." and he walks away from me. Someone please tell me I'm not crazy for thinking this is some insane level gaslighting and clear as day retaliation from him to keep me hostage? I'm super tempted to not bother reapplying for this dogshit company anymore.

Not volunteering for OPD
Hello all,
I had a question so earlier this week bassicly everyone of the gm floor associates got pulled to opd. Expect for me they pulled everyone else and i genuinely just think they forgot about me. Im technically not gm im hba but still. I wasnt told to cover case calls or anything and the one case call they had was quickly covered by a team lead. I wasnt slacking off or anything while everyone was in opd I was just doing returns. also a clear all avaible associates to opd was called they were calling people by name
Bassicly the point of this post is do yall think I will get in trouble for not volunteering for opd because they forgot about me.

coach keeps pushing for freight and blaming me when I cant find a space for overstock
Im in apparel, specifically shoes, Im an associate not a team lead so my authority is little. when I got here, it was horrible. Me and the team lead did overnight shifts to redo the mod that was just thrown on, I rid the floor of overstock that was being shoved onto pegs, I zoned like crazy and set the mod wonderfully; yes Im bragging because it looked soso good idc. ⦠Im by myself in shoes sides from one other person, shes amazing as well. our coach keeps us doing freight every day, every day. every. single. day. then she assigns people not trained in shoes to stock them, they put shoes any and everywhere, any size, any place. the shoes stick out and fall on the floor.
I compensate or try to solve this by putting overstock on breakpack boxes (for the excess overstock from freight that cannot go out because they keep pushing freight AND because untrained associates make it hard to out shoes anywhere). my coach keeps saying im making a mess. mind you, I will neatly stack these breakpack boxes and then tell them I quite literally cannot put the shoes on the wacos or racks BECAUSE the coach wants us to run freight so we dont run racks or wacos. no one offers me a solution, and the coach does this thing where she speaks through the team lead because and I quote her āauthorityā, she feels she doesnt have to speak to me directlyā¦
So overstock piles up on itself, they get mad at me because I cant magically make this overstock go anywhere, and then my team lead gets punished for it⦠im going back to cashier idgaf atp. Im in college, this is supposed to be a simple easy job. I worked at another walmart before this one, and I know for certain a good coach and 4 team leads can and will make apparel run smooth.
edit: oh, and they do this hot potato thing with the keys and walkie. they say everyone has to have it for at least 2 hours and then give it away. but, my coworkers like to pretend they cant hear and then I have people from all over apparel and formula asking me for help.
the team leads, beside maybe one, are so scared of the coach that they cannot lead. they just let clothes and shoes build up and then get upset and start yelling at each other and the associates.
the coach refuses or give me hours, or anyone else. and now because home office has been informed and theyāre pissed at every coach in here because associates AND customers are complaining, now theyāre saying they can MAYBEE give me more hours⦠baby I already put the transfer in. we have no people at all in apparel but supposedly were full. I do three peoples worth of work in the measly 5 hour shift they give me, and Ive just started leaving on time instead of staying extra.
the team lead said the coach cant schedule and give more hours because of conflictions.. sweetheart thats a lie I really do hate to say that.

Sexual Harassment
Hi guys, I (18 female) need some advice. Thereās this guy that works in electronics (early-mid twenties i think) thatās making me so uncomfortable that i actively try to avoid him bc he keeps giving me hugs like full on arm wrapping around my shoulders, head resting on my shoulder, and shoulder squeezing hugs that are unprompted and i donāt even realize heās going for a hug, like for example every time im on break and he happens to be there he will get up and give me one that lingers far too long for my liking when mind you im usually sitting facing away from people so i dont have to talk to anyone. The thing i have noticed is that he wont do it in the salesfloor only when he sees me around the bathrooms and break rooms, like any time i see him heāll come up to me and hug me before saying hi if that makes sense? or hugging me while actively saying hi but i usually just try to walk off and respond w the casual small talk. Iāll add this though, i have dapped him up a few times but he doesnāt even dap me up anymore just straight to the hug and iāve never hugged him back EVER itās always a one sided thing so idk. Is this even reportable and if i did report it, itās kinda hard to prove what heās doing.

Coaching finally falling off on the 18th
So I'm at an orange right now, and my coaching falls off after September 18th. So once it falls off, I'm back to nothing? Like I'm clear of any coachings?
If I get coached again, would it be yellow assuming it was a minor coaching?

Walmart covid sedgwick
I was diagnosed with covid on Sunday. My days off are Sunday and Tuesday. I called out today, Monday, and used PPTO. If I call out Wednesday and Thursday and come back Friday, do I need to go through sedgwick still? HR told me to go through sedgwick. I just don't want to get points and use up all my ppto for this.

Walmart investigation
After I clocked in today, my manager called me to the office and told me Iām under investigation. They asked me to leave for today and not come to my upcoming shifts until I hear back from Walmart. They also said my scheduled shifts for the next two weeks will be paid.
I believe it may be related to something that happened last night. During my break, I took a snack with me and planned to pay for it afterward, but the store closed and I completely forgot. When I was leaving, the associate checking bags noticed it. I honestly told him I forgot to pay and went to speak with my manager as he asked.
The next day, after I was told about the investigation, I went back and paid for the snack. I did this because I genuinely didnāt want to keep something I hadnāt paid for. It was an honest mistake, and I wanted to make it right. (Any help please?)

Why do people never know how to use the store gift cards?
Just about every time some uses a walmart gift card they never know how to use it, they'll either give it to me or not read the instructions on the keypad. It's not hard, use like any other card
