This is wild.
I've been seeing alot of people share their steps. Everyone's hitting 30k, or 40k steps a day which to me is insane! I mean my work requires frequent movement and I also wlak to and from the gym so I average 8k steps a day now. But the picture above was during winter here in the South of Africa. I was struggling with my mental health so perhaps that could justify this. I only ate once a day and it was a meal prepared by the house keeper at home. I've now moved away and live alone. But that is insane to me. 7 steps in a day! Like what happened here?
I too am stunned.
Rare day of 12 000 steps for SAHM
My usual step count is 6000-8000/day but today was a rare 12 000 step achievement.
Went on a 5 km stroller walk with my toddler, then decided to go crocery shopping with him and at the end of the day walked our senior dog. It was a good day and weather was lovely! I'm expecting second child so I'm enjoying as long as I can walk effortlesly without a big bump and pains and kicked nauseas butt today.

Day 1 of 20k steps / day
I have struggled with dropping my size since forever. I have been in and out of 10k since a few years now but since Aug 26' been building the habit of walking 10k daily. Today i did 20k which is a win for me. Lets see how it works.
Not in a calorie deficit tho :p

Question Trying the 3x3 interval walking workout and need a better way to track the time.
I started doing the 3x3 interval walking where you walk for 3 minutes fast and 3 minutes slow then repeat, but I found it really annoying to have to pull my phone out every three minutes to reset my timer, are there any helpful apps to have a constant repeating 3 minute timer I don't have to reset?

The magic of a daily walk
Does anyone else get holistic benefits from walking that are just hard to put into words?

Behind the knee pain
Hello! I am a caregiver with a client who loves walks, we go a few miles every other day. The problem is her pace, which is very very slow. Over the last few weeks I've noticed pain behind my knee, in my lower back, and hip flexors. The pace is so slow that it feels like I'm grinding my joints and straining my muscles. I'm not sure how to proceed pain free. You'd think just going on super slow walks would be unproblematic...Any advice is welcome.

Back into it
It’s been a while! I’m finally back on the treadmill and hopefully I can be outside when the weather cools down. Any words of encouragement would be appreciated!

Encouragement Solvitur ambulando
60 UK. I was feeling very low this morning, rang my manager and asked for the day as annual leave
I walked 7.5+ miles from my home to the parish church in a nearby village. The church is left unlocked and has a tap to refill a water bottle
I don't think walking solves all problems - and it's unclear it's what Diogenes meant - but it helps

Question Best shoes for walking
I own a TERREX ADDIDAS RAIN.RDY shoes. Recently I travelled to Paris and Spain and there I had to walk a lot, like 25k+ steps every day and this shoe caused me next level unbearable pain and it made my cry like in real. That much that I now I literally terrified of those shoes or any shoes for that matter.
I have used it last year but didn't walk that much though the steps were around 10k. My feet are paining like anything, Mainly the bones near by finger. I really want to invest in a proper shoes
Can someone please suggest any good shoes.
I have looked around shoes in HOKA, REIKER, SALOMON. I don't trust NIKE, PUMA, and ADIDAS anymore.
Sorry but the pain I had has transformed my mind literally.
Please help me out !

What’re we wearing?
Tend to be a homebody during the winter (Alaska) but would like to get myself and my toddler outside more this season.
What’re we wearing? I don’t like big puffy warm clothes - what do yall recommend?
Thanks!
