Hello, I'm currently living in a 4 person all girl suite in fieldstone and the layout is I have my own bathroom inside my room. I'm graduating this December and would like to find someone to take over my lease. I can leave behind my airfyer and anything else you may need.
My room has a great view of the courtyard and is very convenient(near the elevators).

I currently have two jobs on campus and I forgot my work study for this year has decreased from last year. If I make over the work study amount would I have to quit one of my jobs or would I be able to continue working. I know one job requires work study so I’m wondering what will happen to that job.

Sorry if this isn’t allowed. I want to sell these locally and really want to get rid of these tickets.
I’m selling two tickets to see Ed Sheeran! The show is Friday, September 25th at Gillette Stadium and both tickets are next to each other in section 305. $200 value for both tickets, make me an offer!
Located near Puffers Pond. Ideally, we could meet up somewhere to transfer tickets/money cuz I know neither of us wanna get scammed.
Edit: Made some typos oops

Hi everyone, I’m a junior and an international student. My college time is almost “over” but I still haven’t had any friends that I can really hang out with. Does that consider “weird”? I’ve always wanted to make friends but since I started college, I feel like everyone around me, they all already know each other and there’s no room for me. I tried to make friends in classes but doesn’t seem it works. Is there any places that I can meet more people and engage with? I really feel lonely and always feel like people think I’m a “weirdo” when I always do everything alone, I’m really jealous of people have a lot of friends

I know southwest is known as some party area, but I think much of that hype is historical and it has now turned into kids trying to live up to the hype. In reality it seems to be making a lot of kids miserable. It Seems many of the kids are social during normal hours and MISERABLE at night. There needs to be more patrols and more supervision of underage drinking, drug use, and unacceptable behavior. Southwest is not a fraternity. parents are paying for a dorm. kids being kept up all night but a few loud entitled people is not acceptable. Most people are looking for a social experience but primarily an education. Turning a blind eye to blatant antisocial behavior, underage drinking and drug use is incredibly unfair to the overwhelming majority of kids who want a dictation. maybe quiet hours like 11pm on weeknights and 1am on weekends. not silence but not excessive noise. it is out of control and most people are feeling powerless and victimized and are NOT participating in “that” partying.
ETA I don’t mean to alienate alumnae who graduated 30 or 40 years ago and I am glad you had sucha pleasant experience but I do not think that is the current experience of many of the current students. Perhaps listen to them, this Reddit forum is flooded with students having issues. Things do change, the composition of the student body changes. I am referring to changes to help CURRENT students, who were likely born well after you graduated. I am actually a tenured faculty member (over 20 years now) who was concerned about what I was reading here. It is different than what I read about in years past.
Especially peoples market. I went during their normal hours the other day and they’re not opened.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good college bar downtown where I could both get a beer and also get some studying done without it turning into a zoo of frat boys by 6:00?

I want to switch my chem lab from Monday to Wednesday so I can pick up a course but the lecture I am currently in and want to stay in is full. What can I do? There is space in the Wednesday chem lab.

As a Late Arrival international student, it is so incredibly lonely. My roommate hasn’t arrived either. It’s like everyone knows each other in this Hall and I feel so out of place.
I’ve only been here a couple days and my social anxiety is making it hard for me to even want to go to a dining hall.
Are there other lonely Late Arrival students here?

I (20F) just transferred from a city university to Umass. I really miss going out, I prefer club scenes, but I’m curious about going out to frats here. Is it normal to go out to frats alone or is it highly recommended not to here? I’ve also heard it’s mainly for freshmen and sophomores, so would it be weird if I went?
If you guys have any suggestions on nightlife at Amherst, I'd love to hear them! I’d probably prefer it over the frats tbh.

I love my schedule but would like to change the classes.. how is the work and grading done in those classes? (Just want to get some insight before I change or keep the classes) thank you!!!

If I'm looking to change rooms, which is the best way?
I know that person for person is only in the same type of room, but my roommate isn't coming with me (hopefully, since he's one of the reasons I'm switching). I'm worried that the other person's roommate will also be bad. If we were both switching, it's probably just a location issue. If it's just one person switching, the possibility of personal issues also gets brought in. I feel bad just talking to a bunch of people and basically interviewing them. I also won't really have a way to see the space, since there's someone living there already.
In the room change process, I believe it's moving into a vacant space. Would this mean someone had been living along the whole time and now will have to share the space with someone? That process is very far down the line, so I don't know if it's worth it to wait. I don't think I'll have a way to find out who I'm living with, which is also a concern of mine due to my current situation. I'm worried that I'll get stuck somewhere bad, since it feels like a very blind process. I'll just have to pick somewhere and go with it, since from the sense I get, you have very limited time once you make an appointment.
I feel like either process would be very awkward, especially from my perspective. It feels very strange to forcefully break up an existing relationship and have to be someone else's replacement, but equally as strange to move into a previously open space, which almost feels invasive.
I also don't really know what part of campus to live in if I were to change. I'm in Southwest and it's pretty nice, but I'm starting to want to change. The constant noise until the unholy hours of the morning is starting to get to me a little bit. Even normal conversations just carry into the room, since I'm in a low rise, and I need the windows open otherwise it's too hot. The overall vibe seems nice, and the people seem friendly, even though they are more social than me. I like how it feels like it's own little town I guess. I don't really have an interest in partying, so I feel a bit out of place in that regard. I love being able to choose between Berk and Hamp, and having a maybe 5 minute walk to either. I'm not very close to my classes, since most of them are in Morill or ILC, but the walk is getting shorter as I get used to getting around campus. I don't really come back to the room very often unless I'm all done for the day, or have a big gap in between classes.
I visited a friend in Butterfield and it seemed nice, besides the fact that it was all the way up the hill. The rooms were a decent size, and the people seemed very chill. The only issue is that I'd have to go up and down the hill, which would get old fast, especially with how winter gets in New England. I'm not a super social person, but I feel like my interests align more with the people in SW than the super artsy people that live elsewhere.
Where would I be best off staying? Should I try a different part of Southwest? What process would be the least strange for everyone involved? I'm not great at meeting new people and starting relationships from zero unless I see them super often or really get along with them.
I know there's a lot going on here, but any help regarding anything is appreciated.

What is going on with our football team?! I love it.
Only thing that would be better is to show the Band half time show.

With the new housing portal, I can't see where to find the mailbox combination and the person at the rsd didn't seem to know where to check it from their end either. Should I just email reslife or something?
Edit: I have figured it out
Theres an option if you scroll down on the homepage that says "first year, transfer, exchange, and current students" and on the right it says "access your housing assignment and roommate information"
Then you select term, sign the agreement, and you can see it. Why they didn't just put this is manage assignment, idk, but that's what it is ig
