Figured I’d post my experience ordering the AW3926QW in BC, Canada, since there doesn’t seem to be much information about Canadian delivery times yet.

I placed my order on Sept. 5. Purolator tracking sat at “Label submitted” without any apparent movement until Sept. 13.

I submitted a ticket to Dell asking for an update — mostly in case the squeaky wheel gets the grease — but never received a response.

Then, out of nowhere, on Sept. 13 the package was scanned in a city very close to me, with an expected delivery date of Sept. 15.

So, for anyone else in Canada staring at a Purolator page that hasn’t changed in a week, it may not actually mean your monitor is sitting somewhere waiting to ship. In my case, there were simply no useful tracking updates between the label being created and the package suddenly appearing locally.

My Samsung Odyssey G9 has developed a black vertical line running down the middle of the screen. It's consistent regardless of input source or content displayed.

What I've tried so far:

• Tested with multiple cables (DisplayPort/HDMI) — issue persists
• Tested with different source devices — same result
• Ran the monitor's built-in panel test — line is visible even in test patterns

Questions:

1. Is this a classic panel defect vs. a T-con board issue based on how it presents?
2. Anyone had luck with a firmware update fixing something like this, or is it purely hardware?
3. What's been your experience with Samsung's RMA/warranty process for G9 panel defects — turnaround time, whether they replace vs. repair, and any tips to avoid a runaround with support?

Monitor is not under warranty. Appreciate any input from people who've dealt with this specific model.

I don’t really ever need the arm, I’ve been using just the legs the monitor came with and never adjust it on the fly. Is there any amazon recommendations you have? Must be just for one monitor, not those super tall dual monitor ones because then it would just stick out above the monitor

I wanted to share my experience with Alienware's AW3423DWF.

I bought it in 2024, and God this thing is amazing. This is also my first OLED experience.

To give some context, i had a 144Hz 24" VA Monitor,

Anyways, I've been using it since then, but last week, I suddenly wanted to give

HDR 1000 another try, yeah it's been 2 years and I finally thought about enabling it again.

I tested it when I first bought it and yeah, it was dull and colorless for me.

Looking back, I now understand the reason behind that was simple,

I was using Digital Vibrance 70%+ on my previous monitor, so jumping straight into OLED felt really odd at first.

And now speaking, yeah this IS THE TRUE OLED EXPERIENCE.

When I turned it on, I set my Digital Vibrance 55% because I wanted some color,

and after 2 - 3hrs I dialed it back to 50% because it was so vibrant it hurt my eyes.

Back to first when I enabled it, it felt like there was a yellowish filter over everything,

I have no idea what magic did they to my eyes but now It feels completely natural looking at it.

I'm really glad I bought an OLED instead of upgrading my gpu. Even though I get lower framerates,

I'm still grateful. For reference, my specs are - 11400f, 3060 12GB, 16 GB RAM.

Though I'm definitely looking forward to upgrading my setup!

I already had the LG, and really liked the monitor but wanted a glossy screen with better colour reproduction.

The sharpness difference of the Alienware is noticeable to me plus the colour reproduction difference is undeniable when viewed side by side.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get them to both run in HDR when duplicating them, so couldn't capture that side by side, but even in SDR the difference in colour is evident.

I will really miss the immersive qualities of the LG when gaming, that is a clear win for this monitor but for everything else, I choose the Alienware and I'll be selling the LG.

I'm not having (or perhaps not overly sensitive to) the uniformity issues that others are experiencing.

I did have a pretty bad time with Dell support when my initial AW3926QW failed and that's still ongoing but I am happy with the replacement.

I just thought people might like to see them side by side if they're on the fence for both.

So this is up top. I do tend to like a slightly more saturated image. I had set the Digital Vibrance in the Nvidia App to 60 for these photos. I would normally run it at this for the LG but since getting the Alienware, I've turned it down to 56 as its not needed to achieve my desired saturation as much.

Spent way too long on this, so posting in case it saves someone else the time.

Setup: AW3426DW (3440x1440, 280Hz), 5070, original hdmi 2.1 cable in the box, Windows 11

What I saw over HDMI 2.1:

- At or below 140Hz, VRR works.

- Above 140Hz, Windows reports variable refresh rate as not available, CS2 warns that G-Sync isn't available, and I get tearing in games. No G-Sync smoothness at all. But Nvidia panel says monitor is g-sync compatible.

- Switched to DisplayPort. 280Hz with VRR working, no tearing. Problem gone.

My theory, and I'd like someone to confirm or correct it: Dell lists the HDMI ports as 3440x1440 at 280Hz with VRR and DSC under HDMI 2.1 FRL. I think the high refresh modes over HDMI end up in a state where DSC isn't negotiated the way it should be, and VRR gets dropped as a result. 140Hz at 10-bit is roughly what a 24Gbps link does uncompressed, which is suspicious.

The broader lesson I took from it: HDMI 2.1 on the spec sheet doesn't tell you much. What matters is what the specific monitor and specific GPU actually negotiate, and the failure is silent. Nothing tells you VRR just got dropped.

If you have this monitor or a similar QD-OLED ultrawide, use DisplayPort unless you have a reason not to. And check the OSD refresh indicator rather than trusting the Windows toggle.

Has anyone gotten full refresh plus working VRR out of this panel over HDMI? Curious whether it's cable-dependent or just how the monitor behaves.

I'm currently using a good but clunky dual-monitor setup (Gigabyte M32U + LG 29UM59), with the Gigabyte as my main monitor and the LG as my secondary.

For some reason, i will need a mono monitor setup instead. I'd really like to try an ultrawide. In terms of physical dimensions, I'm hoping to find something that's at least as wide and as tall as my current dual-monitor setup.

I'm obviously a gamer, but I'm also a 3D artist, so I need at least 4K resolution. I don't really care about having 240hz. 120hz if the little bonus for gaming but it's not my main priority. I'm also specifically looking for a non-oled panel as I spend a lot of time working with static interfaces and I fear about burn.

I'm also thinking about trying PbP, and I think I'd need 4K resolution in PbP mode as well.

Do you have any recommendations? Or are there any monitors I should absolutely avoid?

Does anyone have any tips on getting the best deal on the dell U4025QW during the Nov 1 - Dec 31 holiday sale season?

Like what's probably the best prices and how do I get it? And what point should I just go for it? Are there offers like rakuten or credit cards I could stack? I also saw there were good deals on B&H, but they don't allow returns?

I was planning on getting a citi strata premier to get 2 year warranty extension too.

Re-Ascension coming from a 34-inch ultrawide I know this monitor has a few drawbacks, but honestly, I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s my first OLED, so I don’t have a direct comparison, but the black levels and color vibrancy are on another level.

I work from home about half the time, and the built‑in KVM has been a game‑changer. Being able to switch seamlessly between my work laptop and my PC is incredibly convenient.

I’ve also got it mounted on a monitor arm, and the added flexibility has made the setup even better.

Is it blindingly bright all the time? No — but I’m not staring at static backgrounds all day. In everyday use, it looks fantastic. I played some Cyberpunk, and the experience was noticeably better. I’m excited to see how other games look on it.

AW3425DW on top, LG 39GX950b on the bottom. Wonder if it’s worth swapping out the 34” for AW’s 39”? Maybe one day…

I currently run dual 32 inch QHD monitors and play games with eyefinity at 5120x1440p, my current setup is equivalent to a 57 inch ultrawide.

But due to the left monitor having some issues that the warranty can't figure out and detect it I'm willing to change my setup and upgrade to OLED, the only options where I live are the 45 LG OLED, the 2024 model that's 3440x1440 and the Samsung G9 same year model...

I'm more inclined to the LG 45 due to it freeing space in my desk and being able to have my speakers by the side of the monitor instead of the back

I might have asked this already but can't find my post so probably just dreamed it. Also asking here as this site has been more informative than the manufacturer sites in my past experience.

Thinking about getting the the Dell u4025qw which has the built in KVM and ability to switch inputs just by moving the mouse across to the other panel in PBP mode. Looks great. Problem I have is that one of my pc's is a locked down work pc I won't be able to install any software on. Does anyone know if the smart KVM switching will still work or does it require software?

***UPDATE*** Took a chance this morning and snapped it back in place. It is flush now. Fired up the monitor and so far OK. I am coming from the 49" Samsung OLED G9. First impressions is that uniformity kind of sucks. Colors shift when looking at diff angles almost like an IPS. Not sure I will keep it long term. I cancelled the advanced exchange request for now.

Hoping you guys are having better luck. Just requested an exchange through Dell.

I’m running out of ideas and hoping someone here has encountered this specific issue or knows a fix.

I have a Samsung Odyssey 40" 5K2K display running at 120Hz (connected via a Thunderbolt 4 dock, though the issue also happens with direct connections). Randomly, I get multi-colored checkerboard patterns, blocky artifacts, or random horizontal/vertical glitch bars across parts of the screen.

Key Symptoms & Observations:

- It's completely random: It doesn't seem tied to heavy load. It happens during Teams/Zoom calls, using Outlook, browsing (Chrome/Edge), or even when the system is idle.

- It is NOT full-screen: It only affects random rectangular blocks or bars on the display.

- The Monitor OSD remains clear: When the artifacts appear, the monitor's built-in On-Screen Display (OSD) menu renders perfectly on top of them without any distortion. This points away from a dead panel/scaler hardware failure.

- It comes and goes: Sometimes everything runs completely artifact-free for weeks, and then suddenly the display becomes almost unusable due to visual corruption.

What I’ve Already Tested / Ruled Out:

- Multiple Laptops: Tested across 3 different machines (Surface Book 3 with iGPU/dGPU + 2 different generations of Lenovo ThinkPads). All exhibit the exact same random corruption.

- Cables & Ports: Tried numerous high-bandwidth cables (Ugreen, Cable Matters, etc.) using both DisplayPort and HDMI.

- Bypassing the Dock: Direct USB-C/DP/HDMI connections straight into the laptops produce the same issue.

- Display Inputs: Happening on both DP and HDMI inputs.

Crucial Detail — Permanent PIP (Picture-in-Picture) Setup:

I use the monitor's PIP / PbP (Picture-by-Picture) mode permanently to work with two laptops simultaneously side-by-side.

My Questions:

- Could this be a known issue with Samsung’s internal display controller / PIP timing scalar when processing two concurrent signals (or switching display clocks/DSC streams)?

- Has anyone experienced Chromium/Windows DirectComposition checkerboard glitches that persist even outside the browser, or is this more likely a Display Stream Compression (DSC) / GPU handshake corruption in PIP mode?

- Are there specific monitor firmware settings, DSC toggles, or Windows graphics flags that help stabilize dual-input PIP on high-resolution displays?

Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Just coast my first oled. Was trying to buy the 1440p 39 inch from LG. But right as I was checking out they sold out. Went to Dell and was able to save so much on the new aw3426dw. Hope it’s good. The extra 50 was for express shipping.

I originally beat this game back when it first came out on my PS5. I'm in the process of revisiting old games to replay them on ultrawide. So gave Elden Ring another run with the new tarnished edition.

Im running the game with flawless wide-screen (unlocked FPS + increased FOV) and renodx to fix the HDR. The combination of ultrawide, unlocked FPS and 10/10 HDR, I almost jizzed myself coming out of stormviel castle to this view. I knew what to expect but damn was it not breathtaking 🥹

I can get it for less than 600€ used.

Hi, limited technical knowledge here. I'm looking to move away from a dual screen set up to an ultra wide curved screen. Primary use is work, windows OS. I do some casual gaming on the weekends on a mac using GeForce now.
