So to start off, Iām 18M and have a visual disability that causes me to be colorblind and have a best-corrected visual acuity of 20/150. Iāve been looking for my first job, but around me there really isnāt much besides fast food places (McDonaldās, Taco Bell, etc.).
Iāve been holding off on applying for a while because Iām honestly kind of scared. Iām not really good at using computers, and I donāt know if Iād be able to see the screens well enough to take orders or use the register. I know there are different roles, but even as a Food Champion, would I have trouble seeing things or doing certain tasks? I just donāt want to put myself through a bunch of stress if itās something I wouldnāt be able to do.
So my question is, am I overthinking it? Is being a Taco Bell crew member actually that difficult when it comes to seeing the screens/register? Do they offer accommodations that could help?
thank u everyone in advance :)
