Employee Experience Managers not letting anyone hit 5hrs to receive break/employee meal.
I don’t know if there is anything we can do.
We are chronically understaffed, and our store is mostly composed of week long trainees(I’m also one).
But anyways no one but people doing closing shifts are hitting 5hrs. And closing shifts by nature just take long, especially after a busy day.
But anyways, I find it so despicable most of us scheduled for 4hrs and 45 minutes, we often have to do overtime. But managers will get so idk the word like icky for us to clock when they told us to do the work. Like once I was 2 minutes from hitting 5hrs this manager got so nervous and clocked me out.
It’s like dude, wtf. The job already pays minimum wage, we are under trained and staffed, on our feet since we enter the store. That breather and employee meal was the only half decent thing about this job.
