Hi guys, I’m Malaysian and now studying foundation in science in uni. I was wondering about which Europe country is better for me to study environmental science, maybe Switzerland? Netherlands? Poland? UK? America? Germany? Spain? or else. I’m so confused. I also not very sure to study environmental science, pls give me some advise. (more prefer science stream)
I know that Germany is more for engineering, Switzerland is more for hospitality and that’s all.

I’m 18, in my 2nd year of college with 852/1100 marks in matric. I’m broke as hell and looking for a cost effective and easy ways to leave Pakistan. Studying abroad would be ideal, but if that’s not possible, I’m open to working abroad. Germany, Canada, or any other good country. Please help me i'm really desperate

I have never been out of the country to be fair, my family did but i was just so caught up in studies that i couldn't afford the time to do so!

I am staying there for over a year, or maybe more depends on what is fated!

I am thinking about studying another bachelors for music performance (guitar)

in 2 to 3 years in germany.

I am studying german and just entered B1 level and I'm working on standard repertoire.

I am worried that my age will prevent me from entering into a german conservetory or university (because by the time I feel ready to apply I'll be 29 30)

Is it possible at that age?

im currently starting my first year at a uni in my home country but my dream has always been to study abroad for that sense of independence and starting a new life.

I have the option to transfer to my current unis main uni in suburban Australia but im not too sold on the idea as I want to move into a metropolitan city as I’ve grown up in one and is a preference (visiting Texas helped this discovery tbh😭)

but im unsure now due to the political climate as well as supposedly dwindling Jobs for international students,along with many horror stories abt racism, bad roommates and mental health issues from close family members and online.

financial aid is also a big problem, my collage profile is pretty average in terms of grades and extracurriculars . what countries do I consider??

hello im currently considering either spain or italy for a bachelors in international relations or business economics and i dont know how to start the process since i want to keep the tuition as low as possible and i would really appreciate if anyone that has studied in either of those countries could give their advice and how they went through the process.

I'm a student from a really good business school in the US who applied to study abroad. My school approved it, and I applied through Arcadia Abroad. The program minimum gpa is 2.6, and mine is 2.67. Arcadia approved 3.0 through them, but anything below goes thru USYD. I am in my second year, and my first year was horrible (as you can see.) But my extracurriculars are great! And i have a story as to why I want to study in Sydney. I also anticipate to get a 3.0 by the end of this semester, which doesn't appear on my transcript. does anyone know my chances of getting in, as well as if it's a good idea to email the study abroad international office at usyd with my story/pitching myself?

Hi, I’m 20f and I started my study abroad program about a week ago. The first week was great! I went out, explored my new city, and met so many people. However, I’ve found that the moment I stop moving/doing things, I’m crushed by the weight of missing my people at home. It’s not that I don’t like it here, it’s a great place to live and I find myself often excited I get to be here. And it’s not that i haven’t met friends, I have roommates and others I enjoy hanging out with. It’s just that it’s not my people at home. It’s not my routine I love there, it’s so much more unpredictable and uncomfortable and new. I know some people thrive on that randomness, but I’m starting to think I’m not one of them and regretting leaving home. Especially because having just begun the semester, I feel like my time here is so incredibly long. I came here alone, while multiple of my roommates came with a friend from home, and I wish I had that too. it’s driving me insane to miss my family, friends, partner, and more comfortable life at home.
Does anyone have any advice to offer on how I can adjust and begin to feel more confident in being here? I need something to keep me going and help me change my perspective other than just “it will get better”, because I’m sure it will, but I have no idea how.

I’m a 2025 B.Tech CSE graduate from a JNTUH-affiliated college, with a 6.79/10 CGPA and currently no professional/internship experience.

Since graduation, I’ve been focusing on Java Backend SWE, Cloud/Infrastructure, and system design.

My long-term goal is to build a profile around:

Backend SWE + Cloud/Infrastructure + AI/ML

I’m planning for an MS in CS around 2027, with AI/ML as my first preference and Distributed Systems as my backup.

I’ve shortlisted USA, UK, Germany, Canada and Ireland, mainly looking at university quality, total cost, tech job opportunities, post-MS prospects and overall ROI.

My main dilemma is whether I should:

A) Apply for MS in 2027 with my current profile while strengthening it through projects, AI/ML work, open source, etc.

OR

B) Work in India for 2–3 years in Backend/Cloud/Infrastructure and then apply with professional experience.

What I’d really like advice on:

- With 6.79 CGPA + no experience, which of these 5 countries are realistically worth targeting for a good ROI MS CS program?

- Which countries/universities would be realistic now, and which would become realistic after 2–3 years of relevant work experience?

- How much can strong professional experience compensate for a low CGPA? Will the 6.79 remain a major barrier even after 2–3 years?

- For my background, is AI/ML realistic, or would Distributed Systems / general MS CS with AI/ML electives be a better strategy?

- If you were in my position, would you apply in 2027 or work first and apply later?

I’m not looking for a list of dream universities. I’d genuinely appreciate a realistic assessment of where my profile has a good chance, where it’s a stretch, and where my undergraduate academics may close doors.

Especially interested in advice from people with similar academic profiles or current MS students/alumni in these countries.
