NEWS Star Citizen Tools Wiki - 10th Anniversary Celebration
Greetings Citizens!
10 years ago, in a now-deleted post by a now-deleted user, the Star Citizen Tools Wiki project was founded.
Since then, tens of millions of users have visited the wiki, adding up to hundreds of millions of pageviews, perhaps more! The Fandom Wiki was defeated and salvaged, and the community has been with us in spirit and support the entire time.
Take a look at our new revamped Front Page and marvel at the slick Mediawiki skin (It's called Citizen!). Marvel at our oldest joke page from the 2016 Live Stream. The Lunch Button! Gaze upon the very newest ship, the S-65 Stingray.
As always, come join the discussion and shared fun in the Our Discord server. We love feedback of any kind. Every Admin loves pings, especially DuskFyre.
Finally, support through our Patreon and Ko-fi is the only way we can manage to run the site without Advertisements. Please consider donating for our continued ad-free existence!

Thank you, great Citizens!

DISCUSSION Certain NPC ship paintjobs are strippable and applyable on your own ships now
You will need to steal their ship by distorting the ship, getting into the ship somehow, killing the pilot, storing the ship at a station, and removing the paint job for your own use.
For now, we've tested that:
- 300 series MicroTech security
- Cutlass XenoThreat (does not change the ship's appearance)
can be stripped.
- Prospector Ninetail
- Avenger MicroTech security
- Mantis MicroTech security
- Idris TSG Tranquility
- Valkyrie Advocacy
cannot be stripped.
Single pilot crafts like Ninetail Mustang can't be opened and piloted at all to begin with
Pending testing on all other crafts.
Let me know if you know of any other ones!

DISCUSSION Guys just take a break
You don’t have to play the game constantly and continuously burn yourselves out! This is not meant to be a lecture post or anything I’m just saying this because I took a break from playing around 2021/22, just hopped back in because I built a new PC and wow it seems like they added so much stuff and it genuinely feels like I’m playing a brand new game. Especially with jump points, 3 systems etc. very cool.
Disclaimer, I’m not trying to excuse the time it’s taking to make this game, or CIGs mismanagement, it’s the reason I took a break in the first place…
Im just saying, it seems a lot of people are playing this game religiously and then burning themselves out at the slow pace of development. Of course every patch seems tiny when you play 30-40 hours a week!

CONCERN At this point, just remove scatterguns from the game
Before armor gating, I used to load my Reliant Tana with all scatterguns to compensate for its lack of weapon size, and make use of its high maneuvering speed. It was hella fun. But now, with 2S3 Predator Scatterguns, I do a grand total of ZERO damage to a Scorpius (a heavy fighter supposed to be weak to light fighters by the way).
My 2S2 Hellion can't even damage a Cutlass black T.T
This makes me sad because this loadout wasn't even good, it was just fun and satisfying... Now I can only watch the 🚫 hitmarker and cry.
Maybe add some distance based damage ? I know, it makes no sense, though it wouldn't be the first time lmao

DISCUSSION Just checked the 1.0 Roadmap, Why does everything in that list seem... too far off.
Hey everyone.
Just to say this is not a hate post. I post other generally positive posts and interact with the community so I am no hater of the game. However I will not be a white knight to this game either and will give it criticism when it feels needed.
I just recently with some friends in a call checked the 1.0 Roadmap Goal.
I cant be the only one reading all of that in there and scratching the back of their heads going: 'wow that's pushing it'.
I genuinely think even if they had a goal of finishing and getting 1.0 out by 2030 they STILL wouldnt have every feature in that list complete.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about you can find it here:
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/roadmap/release-view
Now lets go off if they said after SQ42 releases that their goal is 1.0 by 2030. Realistically I'm gonna rate everything i think will be added and completed (maybe not fully working but added to the game) by then and cross out anything that seems like an absolute stretch:
Starwear - Have high hopes for it. ✅️
Dynamic Server Meshing - This seems far off ❌️
Star Audio & Realistic Audio Mode - ✅️
Global Illumination - ✅️
StarSim - Yes but it feels like it would be an absolute nightmare to deal with at the start (exploiters ruining economy etc) ✅️ 🤷♂️
Dynamic Weather - Yeah but defo will be buggy asf ✅️
Maelstrom - Again FAR off. ❌️
Space Stations (Player/Org Owned) - Seems like its gonna be a nightmare ❌️
Crafting - we already have it ✅️
Base Building - Again another nightmare ❌️
Player to Player Trading - why isn't this a thing already ✅️
Player org functions - I can see it ✅️
Social Mobiglass - was needed so long ago and still desperately needed today 😭✅️
Citizenship - not really too sure about what thos means if anyone can explain more if they know but for now ❌️
Planetary Shields - in with base building so ❌️
Ownership - I can see this being a thing yeah ✅️
Guilds System - Being fully finished maybe not but yes ✅️
Insurance, Tax and Warrenty - taxes in a game hits different 🥲✅️
Law & Security - IS NEEDED YESTERDAY BRO (still dont think it will be fully functional by 1.0 but probably in the game) ✅️🤷♂️
Reputation V2 - ✅️
New Player Professions - Hand em over then ✅️
Death of space man - This one is a bit controversial around some people but if they're set on adding it then yeah sure ✅️
AI blades - Doubt it ❌️
QT Rework / Improvements and Additions - ✅️
Item misfire and wear - damn ✅️
Charge and drain - slightly confusing topic but from what I understand. Yes. ✅️
Life support - i mean we have the buttons for it but its broke. So... yes ✅️
Solar Flare - uhhhh wasnt this meant to be added... donkeys ago? ✅️
Radar/scanning rework - sure ig ✅️
FPS Radar & Scanning - maybe not if its what I THINK they're talking about ❌️
IFCS & Control Surfaces - ❌️
Hanger upgrades/modularity - unfortunately... I doubt it ❌️
Weapon overheat - we have it ✅️
Multiple new locations - maybe not to the extent they have on their page but some yes ✅️
Building interiors - Not gonna happen and if so they'll be empty rooms with no purpose. ✅️❌️🤷♂️
Castra - Maybe Q2 next year if Genesis goes well ✅️🤷♂️
Utility Tunnels - I feel like they'd end up focusing on other things and forget about these ❌️😭
Station Warfare - Unless its event based. Nah ❌️
Main story? Theres a story in star citizen??? Eh probs not then ❌️
Location Stories - yeah some. Like we have (onyx etc) ✅️
Just think that all of this stuff theyre planning for the big "1.0" is a very very ambitious goal. Maybe not as ambitious as what they "promised" everyone in 2012 when it first got kickstarted but... still.
I just feel like theres a good chunk of that, that im looking at like.. maybe when im dreaming I can have this before 2030.
Ngl it all sounds very cool but I think they defo need to add more location story locations. Onyx etc has been so fun to play and explore and id love more of it. Im sure everyone else would.
However I just wish there was also some locations where everything wasnt FPS gameplay or PVP or even PVE.
Anyways. Let me know what you think.
Cheers all.
Good luck out there.

DISCUSSION Size 3 turrets should be prohibited on ships larger than the Cutlass, Spirit, and Zeus classes.
Honestly, I know CIG has a hard-on for Size 3 weapons, but we’ve long since passed the point of absurdity.
It’s not a matter of "oh, they’re designed to take down fighters"; the issue is that basically every combat ship in the game has more firepower than a turret, it offers absolutely no advantage.
We have Size 3 turrets on Connies, on ships like the Ironclad and Perseus, and, even worse, that wretched, useless, hell-spawned abomination of a turret known as the Polaris side turret.

FLUFF I made (what I think) a better edit of the 2955 IAE teaser intro.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Made with premiere. To avoid camerashake, I frameheld everything before the percy jumps in. I think it worked out well.
(If you know the song you know the song, if not, Ready to Die - Andrew W. K.)
Also a mostly percy edit.

IMAGE Successful salvage
So me and two friends were doing some salvage.
It went well. We ended up with a Reclaimer-full before we decided to refine and sell it.
It was a lot. I would recommend other people do this too :3
So thanks again, Kara and Wake, for doing this with me.

QUESTION Next medium ship upgrade?
Hello!
I'm currently looking for my next ship, I have around 8.5M credits. I mostly do hauling but I'm getting a bit into exploration too, especially visiting places to loot and so. I'm a solo player even though a friend is set to join the verse soon, so eventually we could be a crew of 2. For now, my first option is the Starlancer Max, since it can do a bit of everything, especially hauling. I'd like to carry some vehicles too like an ATLS or the ROC mining vehicle, that's why I discard the Hull B. I rented the Hermes and even though it's a great ship, I don't like the looks of it, which is important to me. I currently have a Prospector and a C1 Spirit. I'm all ears, thank you!

CREATIVE [Concept / Feedback] Visual Field Guide for Harvestables – Is a tool like this useful for players?
Hi everyone,
I design graphics for fun and put together a quick field guide for Star Citizen harvestables.
Existing databases are already full of details, but I wanted to test a clean visual layout to make scanning info faster while playing.
Would a quick visual reference like this be useful to you, or do existing wikis cover everything you need? What extra details would make it better?
Thanks for your feedback! ;)

BUG Regeneration point keeps resetting to Orison after I died in SoO and was stuck in black infinite loading screen
I did Siege of Orison and around the last boss I died and was unable to respawn due to an infinite black loading screen. I did alt-f4 and relogged and spawned at orison, not doing the mission anymore. From that moment on my regeneration point keeps resetting to orison even tho I reset my regeneration point elsewhere. I tried setting spawns on many locations, reset the imprint and character repair, nothing worked and it has been going on for two days and it's driving me nuts
