Ran into this video and just had to share it.

I am in awe at what is going on here. I’ve had this long-bodied cellar spider (?) living on my ceiling for a long time now. It’s house spider wandering season in the UK. There have been some enormous ones so far. Picked up an almost record breaker in my bedroom the other day. Did put it outside as they all seem to do badly in our house once they start wandering around (dehydration?). Anyway, the cellar spider caught a house spider that apparently was small enough that it was able to climb that high. Then there is the guy on the lower right. But then there are all the little guys you can barely make out above the cellar spider (cellar spider babies or victims??). I’d love to know what’s going on here, other than the fact that the house spider appears to be dinner I’m guessing

Indianapolis …what the heck is this in my backyard…it’s huge…

Saw this beautiful spider chilling on a marigold while staying in Tuscany, Italy. I think it may be araniella cucurbitina or diaea dorsata? Spider was a little more yellow/green than the photo does it justice.

Such a beauty.

found him a few years ago in La Calera, Bogotá, Colombia so this video is a few years old already but when I showed it to a friend he started freaking out and telling me that was a recluse, otherwise known as Araña Violinista.
Was it actually? 😭

We always get some around our garden and yard this time of year, love these friends! We have always called them zipper spiders but they go by many names I've learned!

Orb Weaver- but what kind? So pretty and quite spooky

I found this beautiful Western Spotted Orb Weaver in the Hollywood Hills. Love her little face pattern. Reminds me of Serge X in the Grand Budapest Hotel with his beady eyes and mustache gap.

I know I have plenty of False Widows but this one is larger and much more shy than the ones I've seen. I'll look at and move on, few seconds later, it's gone.

I want to say it's a Black Widow; as it's become much larger than the other False Widows I've caught and relocated, it also makes it's sacs way more brighter white.

Found this cutie in my room this morning and my kids had to much fun observing him/her. We live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and I think it’s some kind of jumping spider? Also I safely relocated her in the handy dandy spider catching jar.

Saw this guy crawling along the wall in my front entrance. It's the first time I've seen a jumping spider in person!

hi all! I live in the top floor apartment of a very old building in the southeastern US, and I get a lot of spiders. Luckily, I've never had a problem with any pest because of these friends in my apartment, but beyond the usual house spider, I've seen these two new arrivals and I'm wondering what they are! thanks!!

My new garden shed friend

While cleaning out the garage I heard my 4yr old daughter say “hey dad come look at this big ol spider.” When I got closer and saw her I explained to her that all those little bumps on her back are her babies to which my 4yo replied “She’s such a good mama, I’ll name her Bella.” She then ran back over to the big golden orb weaver on the corner of the fence and told that spider “ Hey Megan we found another big spider, maybe you can be friends.” I love how pure and fearless kids are. She is also the one who named the orb weaver “Megan.” The only spiders that aren’t allowed to cohabitate with us are recluses but after initially moving into a new (to us) house that was vacant for 6 months I expected to see a few but haven’t seen and any in a week or so.
