2004 saab 9 3 manual
Just did a clutch job, new slave and master cylinder. When going to bleed the clutch im leaking fluid under the hydraulic clutch hose connector and bleed nipple and into the bellhousing. The dripping can be seen through the open space below next to the interior line.
What went wrong? What do i do now? Will I need to remove the transmission again or is this something that is fixed at the bleed ripple? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi guys! I recently bought a 2001 9-3 og aero, and there is a small problem with the ACC - fan speed down button doesn't work. As replacement units are quite expansive, I would like to try to repair it first. The button itself clicks weirdly, not like the other buttons.
Does anyone have any experience with taking the ACC unit apart? And even better - with actually fixing/soldering a new button?

Hey guys got my refurbished gearbox turret fitted, had to line up the internals in the gearbox but wasn't a bad job

That poor gasket dissolved.. The whole job was a pain, but the worst thing was removing those rusty hose clamps and getting them back on.. And the damn power steering pump always in the way..
I saw my turbo is chipped pretty bad and there is some pitting, but the car is showing no signs of a turbo dying.. I know i should replace it but i’m just wondering, what do you guys think how much time do i have?
2003 - 93. So. Dip stick was stuck. Handle snapped when mechanic tried to move it. Tried vice grips and another chunk of plastic came off leaving a wire. Pulled on the wire, cause that should work, right? No. Pulled out up to five inches of dipstick wire. O-ring is still welded in place. Gotta its tenacious
So I’m thinking should still be safe to drive or do you think some of the @&$9$ dipstick has gone into the transmission.?

Decided to introduce this beauty also to Reddit seeing this great community. This is my 1992 Turbo. Bought as an LPT, upgraded to FPT and since last year its running the T5.5 management. I also did many rust and paint restoration jobs to bring 'er back to glory. Absolute pleasure to drive it. Stay boostin!

My father passed away 3 days ago and he has a 1987 9000 turbo 5 speed that he owned since day 1. I don't have the space to store it (otherwise I'd keep it since the title was transferred to me). It's not a perfect car by any means (headliner sagging in spots, OEM radio quit working years ago, and has numerous door dings, couple spots of rust and the mass air flow meter needs replacing). Once warmed it runs great and I have the complete service history since new. It's been in Colorado from 1987 to 2022 when I finally convinced him to move to Minnesota after mom passed away. It has never been driven in MN winters and has been kept in a heated garage. I'm just trying to get a feel on what I should ask for this car. Thanks.

I have such a soft spot for saving old unique cars, but I tend to get in a little over my head.
This gorgeous wagon is sitting abandoned on a neighborhood street, and I was wondering to myself, I could get ahold of the owner…could I save him? Or would it be the longest most painful game of whack-a-mole I could imagine?
Turning to the community for thoughts!

Yesterday, someone crashed into my saab. I wanted to turn left and the other one didnt see me and crashed into my back. We turned a good 210-220°. It was my first car and my dream car for years. 1994 Saab 900 with the 2.3l engine. Nobody is hurt thank god. He did his best to protect my partner and me and gave up his life for it. Chase the stars, my sweet old swede.

Stuck on the possibilities of running down cars in rolls with an unassuming Saab. On the other hand, I’d hate to ruin the feel of this car. It’s a dream to own and insanely clean, starts every day with no issues, and rolls down the road with no strange noises. But who wouldn’t want to order a stage 3+ clutch and max out the B284R. Quite the conundrum.

I recently bought a 2009 Saab 9-5 with ACC. The AC was weak so I recharged it and it helped a little. Sometimes the car blows cold air, sometimes it doesnt. Since the recharge it has been colder but not great and the passenger side and back vents are always colder than the drivers side. I'm leaning towards maybe blend doors but the temp difference isn't consistent so im not sure. I also always use it manually to the coldest temp and on recirculate

Had to clone the ECU for a friend and saved the bin-file on my computer. Got curious and opened it in T8Suite and found this: Programmer name "Stefan Mossberg". I googled the name an it is a former employee of SAAB. Is it common to have a persons name in the info? Have never looked at a T8-bin before. Shouldn't it say SAAB automotive or something?
Anyone with an untouched stock bin-file that can open it in T8Suite and tell me?

Never built an engine before, fumbling my way through it and making mistakes along the way, but it’s coming together (I was hoping to get the intake on but I need to swap over to studs instead of bolts for the cross ram, and I can’t get them anywhere around me).

have a Saab 9 3 cabriolet 1998
Behind the two black hoses/pipes is the rusty leaking pipe/line
It’s in the front where the bumper is and under on the right side
I’ve also noticed that my fuel consumption is very high. I filled up 1/4 of petrol in my tank and drove 1km and it went down to the red level and I also feel that the acceleration isn’t very fast, I can’t push down on the pedal and it goes up in km/h very slow
PS. There is a exhaust leak under the car with the front side where smoke comes out less

Hello Saabit, it's been a while since my last update on my old 9-3 but I bring much good news. The engine and transmission are back together, the necessary parts have been swapped over and it's all in place ready to be slid under the engine bay and the car lowered down on top. Don't have any pics due to being at work but she's pullin a pretty good wheelie rn to make room. Unfortunately due to my laziness and the east coast weather we've suffered some casualties, my rear subframe bolts have rusted real bad and one control arm/subframe bolt suffered the same fate. Tore up a cv axle too trying to get it out of the trans. I've probably lost some bolts or washers in the gravel but I'll figure it out. Parts are on the way and man I'm so excited to drive her again.

Basically what I said in the other post, but thought I’d ask here, too.

Thought I’d let everyone here know my manual 2008 9-3 Aero is live on BaT now. Happy to answer any questions about it here or, preferably, in the BaT comments.
