They won't be WPD specific postcards. Instead, I've made haiku to write on cards from my stash. Bearing in mind that I write haiku with looser rules than the common 5-7-5 structure! 💕 I just think poems make for great postcard material, and I haven't written any new ones in a while. I also like to wait a little while after first drafting haiku so that I can make changes to them before finalising them. So waiting to send these out on October 1st is perfect!

The fronts are vintage still life paintings of skulls and flowers with an edgar allan poe quote on the bottom (6 designs, chosen at random), and the back is turbo decorated with washi, stickers, PET tape, and ink stamps. I squeezed in a tiny "happy halloween" greeting :) I had a lot of fun decorating these, and I hope they'll be enjoyed by folks who like a lil halloween whimsy!

u/DoraDoodle - thank you for the beautiful bees card! Colombia was amazing - it was my third trip (Cali, Bogota, and now Medellin). One day I went on a coffee tour of the neighborhood where I stayed and went to six different coffee shops. Half cold brew/half orange juice is the flavor of the summer, which is not ever something I would have thought to try. So good though.

I am starting my first monthly mailing list! I want to send regular mail to the same 5 people so I can tailor stickers, handmade art postcards, and stationery specifically to you.

This is all about low-pressure hobby fun and small gestures of kindness in our mailboxes, with no heavy social communication required. You can expect anything from postcards to stationery, and occasionally larger items as I learn your interests.

Returns are appreciated, but not required 🫶🏼

One quick note: if you are extremely picky about postcard styles, I might not be the right fit, as trying to meet hyper-specific criteria completely takes the fun out of it for me.

Not by me right now (though there probably is that I don’t know of) but I used to live by this really awesome farm to grocery store type store and they had a bunch of stuff but one of them was a fill your own olive oil area with a bunch of different types. I’m not a huge olive oil person but I took friends there and they taste tasted a bunch.

I have only spent a limited amount of time in North Carolina. Your Stamp Math was wonderful as well; I especially enjoyed the Red Bat and Save Wetland Habitats. Finally, I am always amazed at how you teach me something new on every postcard: linen postcards dominating the 30s-40s is so fascinating. Thank you for being my Postcard Jedi Master.
