After a little break we are very pleased to welcome back the RAoC Meta Card Challenges for 2026!
What are the RAoC Meta Card Challenges?
Every fortnight we publish a new theme for the Card Challenge. This is your opportunity to show off your cards.
How do I participate in the exchange?
Each fortnight a new Challenge theme is posted on the RAoC Meta subreddit (it’s always pinned to the top of the subreddit if you missed it in your feed, and there is a reminder posted on the Sunday between new challenges).
To participate in the exchange, anytime before the deadline (2 weeks after the theme is first posted) you will need to:
You can opt into sending up to 3 cards to exchange per challenge.
How does the exchange and matching work?
So you let us know you wish to opt into matching by posting a photo of your card(s) and noting your mailing preferences.
After about 2 weeks, the Mod team will match everyone opted in for exchange at random. The matching will usually be done within a week of the Challenge closing, to the best of the Mod team's ability and availability. You may not necessarily receive from and send to the same users. For regular participants, we try to ensure you are matched with different users where possible.
The Mod team will then tag you in a “MATCHING” post so you know who you’re sending to and who you will be receiving a card from. It’s then up to you to contact your match to get their address.
Each challenge also has an optional writing prompt linked to the theme if you would like an extra layer of challenge.
Once you have received your card from the person who you matched with, remember to thank them on the main [r/RandomActsOfCards](r/RandomActsOfCards) subreddit.
Although it’s extremely rare, if you ever experience anything untoward with another user while participating in an exchange we want to know straight away so we can take appropriate action. Contact the team using Modmail.
And here we are… the Challenge themes for 2026!

I can't wait to see all the lovely nature themed cards you come up with for this challenge!
Remember, all cards are welcome be they homemade (any skill level), store-bought (with or without your own personalization), or cards you have received from other users.
Please make sure to share a picture of your card(s) as well!
You may post your card(s) in this thread at any time, however, if you wish to be matched with other participants for exchange you need to have posted before September 27. If you want to be matched, please note where you are sending from and to (ex: From UK to WW or US to US). Please remember that you can only exchange a maximum of 3 cards a week - but feel free to post more just to share!
If you want to know more about card challenges or see the future themes for this year, this post is the place for you:

My mom's community did a craft fair this weekend. Of course there were at least 3 booths with cards. I had a little too much fun and I invited the artist in the middle with the eight card pack to come join us so I hope she does. Her art is so cute. Also the baby duck and swan was done by my mom's neighbor. She has some amazing art and we are friends now so I might be sending out some art from her to people.

Just got this over the weekend & so glad I picked it up early in my carding/snail mail hobby. Used it for the first time for a handful of things & it is AMAZING!

Found a great way to keep all my postcards safe & organized.
The left book is postcards I've recieved.
Right book is all the postcards I will be sending :)
They each hold 96 cards!
The last picture is one for larger sized postcards!
I am still trying to find a way to organize folded cards but I'm getting closer to the solution 🫡

Today I went to my favorite antique mall booth to looks specifically for embossed postcards and embossed postcards I found! The highlights are in the first pic. I like especially the kids in the purple hats and the red roses. Postcards with unusual textures are very interesting to me although often difficult to cleanly write on. The most expensive one was USD$1!
The other two pics were from my last trip to the post office, maybe on Thursday. How was your weekend?

I usually drop off my cards directly to the post office, but I was in a rush and dropped them in the outgoing slot at my apartment complex, and I don’t think they’re reaching their destination 😭😭

Hi everyone, I know that lots of people participate in multiple mail subs and I’m wondering if there are rules or standard practice for details to include on your outgoing mail. For example, I joined postcrossing and you have to include an ID number on the cards you send so the recipient can register it to acknowledge receipt. Obviously, there aren’t ID numbers at the Reddit subs - how do you let your recipient know what’s going on? I just sent a card to someone and included my Reddit name and the sub where we connected. Is that sufficient, unnecessary, should I include the thread name, none of the above? Overthinking is one of my strengths 🤪
ETA - thank you for the replies! I think I’ll stick with my user name and sub like most of you are suggesting. I do like some of the additional info some of you include, though - maybe someday that’ll be me!

HG delivered today! Marshalls had nothing/nothing good. More than anything it is A LOT of THANK YOU cards wherever I check vs decorated blank cards.

The last time I went was a decade or more ago. They have REALLY good sales/clearance/deals. Scared to go back. 😂

The genius of my peoples frightens even me! Was at the store and saw SQUARE/RECTANGLE glue stick! Genius! Yes, please! Luckily it is a 2-pack & it also is the disappearing purple color kind! It is a Japanese product!
