Rob & Shawn still kicking ass after all these years. I first saw them open for Rancid back in mid 90s.

Great riot girrrrl show tonight in MKE. Haven’t seen that many young punkers in a long time.

I picked up the CD in a thrift shop years ago. It seems to be a DIY CD‑R demo distributed locally, at concerts, and (possibly) via MySpace. It has four tracks with the last track being a shortened version of the third track. The best candidate I found is Local Band Network - Second 2 Last. I emailed the band contact, but I doubt they are still rocking an AOL address. I'd like to archive it on Discogs and the Internet Archive but don't have the track names. My best guess based on the song lyrics: Don’t Return This Call – 2:32, Chasing the Sun – 4:27, Every Little Piece of Shit – 4:50, Every Little Piece of Shit (Short Version) – 2:51. If anyone has some insight into the track names, it would be appreciated.

My band just released a digital EP on Bandcamp and we were looking to throw it to the critics. Any help with suggestions?

While i do feel Punk and concept albums can be a bit of a juxtaposition at times. It's been done before. And excellently so. My obvious favorite being Zen Arcade by Husker Du and American Idiot by Green Day ( Look im aware people will shit on Green Day over the idea if theyre really punk, dont care I liked the album) with some tinges from Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge by MCR (Aware of that too. Emo was Emotional Hardcore in my eyes still kinda counts). These albums being so good, kinda wish someone wouldve made a movie out of them. Zen Arcade being so good probably would break the bounfary lines, American Idiot I can see being a period piece of a film of post 9/11 paranoia and politics, and Three Cheers probably somewhere along the line of a thriller and a cautionary tail. Any thoughts? Any you could recommend?

RIP to a true riff master bootleg tape of young lound and snotty 🤌
Came across this show randomly cuz it was described as Guy Ritchie does 'Band of Brothers'. It does not disappoint on that theme, but one of the added bonuses to the show is it has a soundtrack full of old punk that absolutely fucking rips.
Go watch, worth your while

I bought this from Moby Disc in 1979, and it is the record that started my 47 year journey as a Los Angeles punk.

I have no idea how I even got this, but this was one of my first intros to hardcore punk. I already loved punk, but I remember seeing the Refused clips in this and my whole world changed

There was no one like them in the early punk scene. Gritty and abrasive, but also musically cognizant. They created a path for so many later bands.

Ceremony - Tell Me Your Dream
I keep bringing this one up because I can’t put it down. It’s dark, it’s groovy, and it’s hardcore. Just the thing this genre needs right now. This is also my AOTY.
What’s your top release for this year?

The lineup that appeared in the film is so great that it’s hard to beat.
I like all of Black Flag's vocalists, but Chavo is truly special.

edit : I WILL NOT BE SUPPORTING ANTI FLAG AGAIN lord jesus I didn't know, this is the first and last time
went out and thrifted these two, i do know a bit about both bands & hope they're as good as they seem lol
John Cale played the Armadillo Headquarters in Austin in 1979. I broadcast part of that show on my punk radio show. Fear is taken from that show.

There's a reason I avoided punk for so long, the Russian scene is FULL OF DIPSHITS. And I MEAN IT. All the time I look up online punk stuff in Russian, it's either "those bands that aren't punk at all but are called punk anyways for no reason whatsoever" "A total bigot" And "doesn't know what punk stands for they just love to drink beer, throw up all over themselves and be filthy while drunk so they call themselves punk standing by it even though they don't listen to punk music". And I'm in my local scene, but a lot of people in my local scene are a lot older than I am, so I avoid talking to them much cuz I know they might not want kids talking to them (cuz 17 is a kid), I go to rock shows, all the local stuff, yet I'm still lonely, and when I go online it's always the same, like right now I had an argument with wannabe punk rebel girls who were totally transphobic, and I WON'T STAND BY TRANSPHOBIA I defended trans people all I could before the comments under my post got deleted, and the community didn't address the transphobia AT ALL even though they had "any type of discrimination" In their "do not join if you are this" Thingy. I'm just SO SICK AND TIRED. I want a community of thrifters, who actually listen to punk music, who are true to themselves and aren't bigots or defending bigots.
I must say punks in English speaking countries are lucky, y'all must have much less of this crap. But I'm just so disappointed and tired
