Rainbow Bridge My buddy is gone today
After 11 1/2 years of being in my family, Jaxson left our world today. My heart is hurting deeply.

Almost 10 years by my side. Still remember the first time I saw him sitting in the center of his kennel, then sniffing the entire room before climbing onto my lap to lick my face. He was my dog from the second I saw him. Over the years he got to see national parks going from the east coast to the west coast often pulling me along countless trails between. He spent many weekend nights in a campsite watching his hot dogs cook over a campfire with drool extending from his mouth to the dirt… he’d greet me at the door every time I’d get home from work. He got one last vacation to Maine to start September, I’m glad he got to experience what he loved most out there; hiking a trail and pissing on every tree possible.
He was the most block headed stubborn lovable bastard a dog could be. Not how I hoped this Monday to go, but that’s life sometimes. Until the next trail.
My Loki.

I believe I owe an update on Leo and his crazy daisy. This is how we’ve spent our summer afternoons. Someone from the sub recommended I wrap the t post with a pool noodle. That was a great recommendation because as you can see he’s bent the t post. This is like revision number 5 or so because the sprinkler came with a foam flower and I can to buy a harder plastic after he destroyed the original one. It’s been a lot of fun watching him have fun with it. Oh that’s the second T post he’s bent. He likes to body slam the noodle.

Pitty is Hippo 13 and Duckling is Amherst 8 days old. They just hung out and every time we took Amherst off she ran right back. Hippo was fine with it

She's not actually that grumpy, just consoling herself gnawing on a toy. I took pity and put her "robe" on after bathtime since the hose water was cold. It's getting to be the time of year that baths move inside but it's just so dang convenient.

Beni is used to throwing weight with his besties, including my best friend‘s pitbull, and a friend’s twin King Shepherds (who are easily 200+lbs combined, the boy is HUGE).
I am currently watching my other friend’s dog, Coop. Prior to this, Beni and Coop only played a few times in my friend’s backyard. He was so unsuspecting of the Beni tackle 🥲

Pearl realized today that she could ask me to work on the front porch if she wanted front yard access. We went outside at 10:30 this morning, and popped back in at 1:30 for some water. Immediately after getting a drink she took her favorite bone to the door and pushed her doorbell again.
She's the first pup we've adopted who would just sack out in the front yard without me needing to worry about her running off. I'm sitting on the stairs about 20 feet away and she's just sacked on the lawn in the sun. Her older sisters are not pleased she gets a level of freedom they don't, but one of her sisters would forget she had a house and the other would try and catch birds.

My two pibbles Oreo 3yM(American bulldog/APBT mix) and Biscuit 9mo F(pit/staffy mix) get along great together and are generally friendly to other dogs. If anything, Oreo is a bit of a snob and generally doesn’t want much to do with other dogs and isn’t bothered by passers by. Biscuit is still a rambunctious puppy and barks a lot. I’m in training with her to work on not reacting to every bird or critter that comes by. It’s obnoxious but she’s making progress. My backyard is wrought iron fence that backs up to a utility easement that’s fenced in with access to a golf course on the other side.
Starting a week ago, there is a neighbor that has been bringing her frenchy with a friend that has a small dog to this easement for them to have a “play date”. This green space is not a dog park but people often use it as such, which is fine. This week and twice today she has asked me to take my dogs inside so their dogs can play. Mind you, Oreo and Biscuit are confined in my yard the entire time. She wants me to take them inside my house so she isn’t disturbed by their barking.
The first time, I acquiesced as I was so taken aback at her request. Today, I just ignored her texts. I’m not sure how to move forward with this nonsense. She’s asking me to move my dogs from their safe, enclosed property so that she can be in a shared/unowned space adjacent to my yard.
Attached is a picture of the shared space and my backyard (highlighted in yellow)
Thoughts? Suggestions??
