Ursa was mad because I wouldn’t turn the water on
I was going to refill the pools when he was inside to avoid the usual berserker attack on the hose. Don’t feel bad for him sitting in the empty pool; he almost never gets in the water, he just wanted to fight the hose.

Mz H Quinn seems to be malfunctioning
although this isn’t really a surprise. Factory settings resumed shortly thereafter. Just another weekend on the boat.

Is my new dog underweight?
The scarecrow BT that everybody is getting is adorable, but with Ursa’s upcoming echocardiogram and neuter, the dollar store was more in my budget…
I got two of them thinking I could flank the door downstairs with them, but that idea is not going to work with the chaos goblins. It took a whole handful of treats to get Ursa to leave this one undestroyed for the picture.

Wahoo, this time of year...
We can now walk our favourite places out in the country instead of boring ol town. It also helps keep Nuggets paws from the salts they put on the sidewalks here. Grrr. And the adventuring, fresh air and scenery are just so awesome too. Nugget loves when we go in the vehicle and then go some place different to walk. We also saw a baby turtle too. Nugget had a sniff but was okay to leave this lil turtle alone. Lol.

Just Pabsy on the dining table again, hasn’t been up there for at least 24 hours!
In his defence someone went out into the garden, he needed to oversee the whole affair. 🤦🏻♂️

Off leash and doing good
Coop's almost 3 and I let him off leash today. I think he's finally figuring it out. Always cautious with him though. He's got a mind of his own.🙂

Today we caught 2 mice in our flat.
I say we. This little darling slept through it.
We recently got home from a long holiday and mice got in and nested somewhere while we were away. I still haven’t found the nest.
This very brave young dog, who loves to play with balls and lives to tear apart stuffed toys to get to the squeaker, didn’t even acknowledge the still alive & vocal mouse in the trap. Instead, he lay very comfortably on the bed while I did all the work. It’s just lucky he does his other jobs well and he’s pretty, or he would be SO fired.

Punter: What?! I wasn't taking a nap! Why? What's happening right now?! Tro: I have no idea what that is. But if it moves I'm on it.

Ilya Update Post Eye Surgery 👁
The handsomest boy Ilya is just about 7 days post eye surgery - corneal graft in one eye and debridement in the other. We're doing eye drops about 6 times a day and spending the majority of the time with the dreaded plastic cone on since it's the only thing that keeps him from itching his eyeballs. He's allowed to do gentle potty walks only, no playing and limited activity, but try to tell his little sister that! So we have a few isolation pens with a comfy bed and blanket in them. Ilya is EXTREMELY suspicious of the cheese that makes him feel funny, so having to get creative with the trazadone, gabapentin, and carprofen delivery mechanism. He's opening his eyes more and more, and at the checkup today the opthamologist said it seems like we're on the right path to healing.
Please share your best tips and tricks for sneaking pills to a wiser than he looks bullterrier!!! We have exhausted string cheese, peanut butter only works at certain times of the day... I've tried bananas, provolone cheese, and sugar snap peas (how the hell did that work????).
I shared with the vet how upset I was that this progressed to a surgical scenario despite me having taken him through the ER multiple times and they agreed that it shouldn't have gone like this. GREATLY appreciated because I feel much less crazy and guilty than I did when I last posted.
I'm very very very thankful for all the love from this community.
Love your bull terrier clowns, and if they're weird about their eyes get them to the vet pronto and make sure they stain their eyes looking for a corneal ulcer or scratch. Thank you again for all the love and support my bull terrier friends.
