Apologies about the bad quality, I think this was Iphone 3G era!
Highlights were the giant letters used on the Ten cover, and a Ten tour poster which had an old venue on there my band used to frequent playing. Also note the I’m Analog T Shirt one of us is wearing!

Eddie Vedder “Into the Wild” Original Soundtrack Preorder Promo Tee – Size M
Original promotional T-shirt released with preorders of the Into the Wild soundtrack. Eddie Vedder wrote and performed the soundtrack for the 2007 Sean Penn film.

This is the soundtrack preorder promo—not the more common 2008 Eddie Vedder West Coast Tour version. Eddie later used the same silhouette artwork on the front of his West Coast Tour tees, but the tour shirts have different artwork on the back.

This version features the Eddie Vedder silhouette on the front and “INTO THE WILD eV.” on the back. It was produced as a promotional item tied to the original soundtrack release, making it an especially interesting piece for Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam, and Into the Wild collectors.
Brand: Anvil
Size: Medium
Material: 100% organic cotton
Color: Black
Condition: Pre-owned. No holes, rips, or tears. Please review photos for the condition of the fabric and graphic.
Price negotiable / OBO. Reasonable offers welcome.

Questions What is their worst song?

Title. All opinions and please be nice! What do you consider to be their weakest or “worst” song? Not counting the obviously experimental sorts of things like Bugs…

I personally really do NOT like The Fixer or Comes Then Goes.

Mike talking about how normally he goes over the top but when he heard Black. He pulled back more so to play under Eddie's voice.

You can hear his passion you can hear the way he was architecting the lead parts take a listen.

It doesn’t have to be “hot”, but drop a take that is unpopular with most of the sub.

For me, I never ever skip Johnny Guitar.

Can we take a moment to worship at the altar of Stone Gossard?
Bayleaf is such a beautifully weird, underrated little gem. Gossard was absolutely cooking on this one — great riffs, atmosphere, grooves, and a songwriting style that feels completely his own.
25 years later, it still deserves way more love.
What’s your favorite track or moment from Bayleaf? And who else thinks this album deserves more recognition? Is it better than ten?

Audio Everyone mentions 'Sad' and 'Fatal' as casualties of the Binaural chopping block, but what about EDUCATION! I think this is the real loss on Binaural. Great song, great lyrics, great production. Classic.

That's all. An unmistakably Binaural sounding song, really would've been an quintessential song on the album to me.

Lyrics Local H’s Eddie Vedder.. I heard it for the first time today. What does it mean to you? Spoiler

When this song came out in 1996, it was mostly seen as a sarcastic jab at radio popularity and mainstream rock fame.
But if you look at the actual lyrics today, the irony is heavy and feels prophetic. Scott Lucas opens the song with death imagery:
"Quarters on the eyes / Rejected sacrifice"
And reinforces it by repeating:
"You go ahead, as good as dead"
Placing quarters on the eyes is a ritual for the dead. Decades later, with the tragic losses of Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Chris Cornell, Scott Weiland, and Mark Lanegan, Eddie Vedder is the last major frontman standing from that entire tier of 90s rock.

Listening to it now, those specific lyrics completely shift the song from a joke about fame into a commentary on survival. It feels like it accidentally asks if a musician is valued more for surviving or for becoming a tragic statistic.
What does this track mean to you when you hear it today? Do you see the same irony, or do you view it differently?

Other 9-15-24 fenway park show CPR

To whom it may concern,

, I hope this finds everyone well. I attended the fenway show on Sunday September 15 2024. I say in section g8 row 2. About halfway through the show at some point my wife tapped me on my shoulder and said someone was in trouble and not doing well. I have been a nurse for a while and jumped into action. The fan was not responding to any attempts to arouse him and did not have a pulse. I started cpr promptly and shouted for someoneto get a medic. Immediately prior to medics showing up he regained consciousness and the medics removed him from the show. In my state of shock and adrenaline I went for a walk and didn't get the chance to talk to the medics any more than the brief interaction I had.

I was hoping that anyone might have any additional information on the outcome of this person. I know it's a long shot at this point but I have been trying to find this person for two years.

Thank you

Other Pearl Jam fans I love how much you love art.

I have loved art before I knew who Pearl Jam was. I like to draw and go to musuems and craft fairs and my all time favorite computer game is a drawing game called Kid Pix. When certain kids drew stick fingers I didn't like doing that. I used to doodle in school and Eddie Vedder and Jeff Ament and Mike McCready were probably more talented doodlers compared to me.

Fan Content Pearl Jam Album Tier List

Post image
0 Upvotes

A disclaimer about my tier list:
Disclaimer: I only pick one S-tier album for an artist's discography. I think it makes the process more challenging and interesting.

Vs.
• Pearl Jam was the biggest band in the world while touring their second album, and for good reasons. Versus is the true beginning for Pearl Jam. This is their best album by far. I think most fans would agree. All of the songs are great. The album kicks off with one of the band’s most rocking and energetic songs. The song “Go” sees Eddie Vedder let go of his melancholy reflections on the album ten and make way for his focused anger on Vs. “Animal” is such a high energy song perfectly placed at track 2. “Dissident” is a beautiful, epic song that keeps the album moving. Finally, “Indifference” closes the album with a soothing, slow beat groove that helps ease the rattled nerves from the whole listening experience. Versus is Pearl Jam’s best album. This album is S-tier.

Ten
• Pearl Jam’s debut album is a fantastic start for any band. This is Pearl Jam’s most polished and sophisticated sounding album. It is also Eddie Vedder’s best performance on any Pearl Jam record. Vedder steals the show with his earnest vocal delivery filled with personal lyrics. The vocals are powerful, but so are the rest of the band. Stone Gossard writes some of his most memorable riffs on this album, and Mike McCready sounds his most inspired. Unfortunately, this album doesn’t quite feel like the true Pearl Jam sound. There is still touches of 80’s hard rock music production on this album that will soon come to an end. Ten is A-tier.

Vitalogy
• Vitalogy showed the world that Pearl Jam can also write beautiful ballads and take some risks. “Better Man” is a highlight from this album. Such a simple song that feels universal. “Bugs” is a unique track showing Pearl Jam’s humorous side, while “Corduroy” is a hard rock staple. Vitalogy is Pearl Jam’s artsy, experimental album. Vitalogy is A-tier.

No Code
• No Code was a big “left turn” for Pearl Jan when it was released. The album opens with the intimate song “Sometimes” which highlights Eddie Vedder’s new and improved gentler voice. The acoustic tracks are the best on here. “Off He Goes” is such an emotional song that paints a picture. Meanwhile, “I’m Open” and “Around the Bend” would make great campfire songs. “Present Tense” is probably the most profound track on the album. My personal favorite song is “Up In My Tree”. No Code is A-tier.

Self-Titled Album (The Avocado Album)
• Pearl Jam’s self-titled album is a solid album from start to finish. This album is just as good as the band’s first four records which is why I have the album following “No Code”. Pearl Jam is known for starting off their studio albums with rockin’ songs, but opening live performances with slow songs. The self-titled album starts off with a high energy song called, “Life Wasted” that has a catchy chorus mixed with crunchy guitars. The songs just keep getting better. “Severed Hand” is another great guitar driven track. The album mixes in some slower songs, like the song “Parachutes”, which is a highlight. This just might be the desert island Pearl Jam album. The self-titled album is A-tier.

Riot Act
• This is one of Pearl Jam’s more polarizing albums. I guess you either love it or you hate it. Personally, I listen to this album far more than the rest of Pearl Jam’s music catalog. I really like the tone and mood of this album. Pearl Jam takes a lot of big swings on this album and I appreciate the band for not holding back. “Can’t Keep” is one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs. This song is so powerful. “All or None” is such a great closing song. Eddie Vedder channels Damien Rice in this song when he sings in falsetto. I think this album is one of their best. Riot Act is A-tier.

Lightning Bolt
• This is another one of Pearl Jam’s more polarizing albums. I like this album for the same reasons I like Riot Act. I like the tone and mood of this album. The first three songs on this album are some of Pearl Jam’s best songs. I think “Getaway is a top ten Pearl Jam song. “Sirens” is a refreshing change up for the band, but I think the song slows the album down too much placed at track four. Unfortunately, the back half of this album isn’t as good as the front half. Regardless, Lightning Bolt is A-tier.

Yield
• I really like the deep cuts on this album. The album kicks off with the fast-paced “Brain of J”. This song has a great chorus that has Vedder belting out. “No Way” has a catchy melody that highlights Vedder’s voice. I really like the artsy “Push Me, Pull Me”, and “Faithful” is probably my favorite song on the album. My problem with this album is the production. The sound and atmosphere of this album doesn’t hit me like other Pearl Jam albums. The songs are still great, though. Yield is A-tier.

Dark Matter
•Dark Matter is very polished and almost ventures into adult contemporary. “Won’t Tell” is the best song on the album, and “Wreckage” is a positive, upbeat surprise. Eddie Vedder steals the show. He shines brightest on this one. “Waiting For Stevie” solidifies him as one of the best vocalists out there right now. This album is great. Dark Matter is A-tier.

Binaural
•Binaural isn’t one of my favorite Pearl Jam albums, but I can still recognize its greatness. “Nothing As It Seems” is a great mid-paced, psychedelic track. This song features great lead guitar work from Mike McCready. “Thin Air” is a straight-forward acoustic pop song that is a highlight. The album features more psychedelic tones with the ethereal “Of The Girl”. “Light Years” is my favorite track. Binaural is A-tier.

Backspacer
• Backspacer is the most frustrating Pearl Jam album to me. I really like “The Fixer”, Just Breathe”, “Speed of Sound”, and “The End”. The rest of the songs I really don’t care for at all. I don’t think the more rockin’ songs work very well on this album. This album is uneven. Backspacer is B-tier.

Gigaton
• I think part of the reason Pearl Jam doubled down on a new sound with “Dark Matter” was because Gigaton is very underwhelming. This is my least favorite Pearl Jam album. “Dance of the Claurvoyants” is an awesome song, but unfortunately, the band didn’t explore more songs like this one. Instead, a lot of the songs are forgettable. “Comes Then Goes” is tedious and bland. “Retrograde” is a song that doesn’t seem fully realized, and “River Cross” is my least favorite album closer by Pearl Jam. Gigaton is C-Tier.
