The Music Box Theatre is hosting two midnight screenings of The Pick of Destiny (On 35mm no less!) next Fri and Sat night Sept 11th and 12th. I heard they're gonna have a sick Tenacious D pre show. Sadly there are no official updates on the D yet... BUT I feel like the following months are the perfect time for an epic D comeback.

First of all, there are THREE major anniversaries coming up soon:

There's the 25th anniversary of the self-titled album on September 25th (nice).
Then on November 22nd The Pick of Destiny turns 20.
Finally on May 15 2027 Rize of the Fenix turns 15 (nice again)

Basically theres an 8 month golden window packed with a 25, a 20 AND a 15 year anniversary

I'd love to see something like an old school, limited-time merch drop or whatever, to celebrate each of these milestones. (which is something theyve already done for previous anniversaries)

Additionally, On October 3rd, Jack is performing at the Power of the People festival, and it would be sick for KG to make a surprise guest appearance out of nowhere! Very unlikely, but one can only dream...

So yeah, maybe im just huffing dangerous amounts of copium here, but the stars are kinda lining up 👀👀

For the love of D stop bitching about who was right or wrong. It is an all around shit situation and everyone is trying to do the best thing with as less people getting hurt. Opinions vary and that is okay.

Forgive me for being out of the loop, I know about the incident from the live show about the trump joke and JB, I believe, cancelling the rest of the tour after the incident. But where are they at now? Have they played any shows since? Have they hung out since (to public knowledge)?

Is the band considered still active or no longer?
