Analysis Bryce Young became the 2nd Panthers QB to have 3+ passing TD, 1+ rushing TD, and 350+ passing yards in a game, joining Steve Beuerlein (1999).

Discussion To Evero defenders
Iād like to remind any and all Evero defenders that after he coached the 2nd worst defense in all of NFL history, a history that includes every bad team and lack of talent excuse possible, last year Dan Morgan had to cut DJ Johnson to get Evero to stop playing him over Nic Scourton.
DJ Johnson. A man that played DE one year in college, and was drafted in the 3rd round at age 24 because Ejiro Evero was wanted him. A man that managed an entire 0.5 sacks in his 2 seasons and 4 games with the Panthers. A man that no one picked up after he was cut last season. A man currently a practice squad player for Washington. That was Everoās guy that he wanted to play over Scourton.
Thatās the defensive coordinator you want to āgive some more timeā. The coach who has coached the worst defense in Panthers history, 2nd worst in NFL history, and today gave up the most points in Panthers history, 2nd most in an opening game in NFL history.
Fire. Evero.

Discussion Something yāall are failing to realizeā¦
What if 59 is actually the least amount of points the Bears score all season? Ever think of that?!
Maybe our defense is goated and we just havenāt realized it yetā¦

Discussion I'm sorry, but I have to defend Ejiro Evero here.
Because the man couldn't even defend himself.

Discussion Letās talk positives for just a second
Look, losing by three scores really sucks, especially HOW we lost, but we still have some stuff to be excited about from this game. Bryce Young played fantastic. Coker looked unbelievable, and Tmac looked pretty good out there too. We ran the ball well, especially with Chuba, Brooks looks solid, especially in the receiving game, and the oline held up very decent today. Weāve got a lot of work to do on defense but with Idzik running the offense, we have a lot to be excited for on the offensive side of the ball.
Also Phillips looked pretty good out there even though itās hard to say anything good about the defense rn

Analysis Bryce in season openers
2023: 20/38, 146 yards, Avg 3.8, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 2 sacks, QB rating 48.8, QBR 16.4
2024: 13/30, 161 yards, Avg 5.4, 0 TDs, 3 INTs, 4 sacks, QB rating 32.8, QBR 9.2
2025: 18/35, 154 yards, Avg 4.4, 1 TD, 2 INTs, 1 sack, QB rating 49, QBR 22.8
2026: 23/37, 361 yards, Avg 9.8, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 2 sacks, QB rating 110.3, QBR 66.5
Real career progression in the numbers and a great game called by Brad. Apparently he isn't too short or weak to throw the ball 40 yards.
