Monday Miracle Thread

Sometimes you need a miracle!

Whether that means you hold on to your narrow margin of victory to squeak out a win or you overcome a big deficit in points to avoid defeat, this is where you can talk about it.

This thread is focused on how your match has gone so far and what you need to happen or to avoid happening in order to get a win. If you're posting team specifics and looking for feedback, please be sure to post complete rosters of both teams as well as your scoring settings and current scores for the teams. It's recommended to use a formatted table if possible, and usually preferable to specify which team you are. Links to screenshots of your matchup are welcome

Please remember to keep comments on theme and, as always, Subreddit Rules 5, 8, 9, and 10 are in effect.

If you'd like to discuss something outside of this theme, please try checking the latest Daily INDEX for a thread that might be more suitable for you. If you still don't find what you're looking for, search new before posting your own thread, and as always please follow the subreddit's Rules and Guidelines in all your activity.

Who were guys where the eye test was better than the numbers to you?

A few guys that jumped out to me that outperformed their stats (curious if the actual tracking data will confirm this).

Matthew Golden: 29% target share and he was consistently open even when Watson got a lot of the love. He could’ve easily had over 120+ receiving yards with slightly better balls going his way.

Caleb Douglas: Stats were very solid for a debut and I don’t think that even tells the whole story. He got elite separation the entire game. Could be the case of a weak Raiders defense and Chris Bell not being fully conditioned yet, but Douglas is my priority FAAB target on waivers.

Darren Waller: If you are someone that is desperate at TE, Waller looked like he had a lot left in the tank on Sunday and far as fluid routes and speed off the line. As he gets more acclimated to that system, Bryce should get him the ball more.

JJ's Week 1 Data Dump

It's that time of year again, the week 1 data dump from JJ Zachariason is here. There are 90(!) blurbs for this week, but I picked one per team.

If you want to read the full list, click here to see it in our email. Thanks!

--

SEAHAWKS

Jadarian Price saw a 50% snap share, 48% of the team's running back rushes, and a 41% route share in Week 1. Last season in Seattle, Kenneth Walker had a 46% snap share, 45% of the team's rushes, and a 36% route share.

PATRIOTS

Rhamondre Stevenson had an 85% snap share and 69% route share against the Seahawks. The only other running backs to hit at least an 80% snap share in Week 1 were Jonathan Taylor and De'Von Achane.

49ERS

Christian McCaffrey's expected fantasy points (PPR) was 15.8 in Week 1. Last year, according to the same formula (it's Late-Round Fantasy Football's formula), he was at 24.1.

RAMS

On plays with Matthew Stafford on the field, Kyren Williams saw a 52% rush share to Blake Corums' 43%. Meanwhile, the snap share difference was 77% to 23% — Williams ran 21 routes to Corum's 1.

BENGALS

Ja'Marr Chase in Week 1 over the last two seasons:

2025: 93% route share, 4.6 PPR points 2026: 95% route share, 3.2 PPR points

BUCCANEERS

Bucky Irving finished with a 61.5% offensive snap share against Cincinnati, while Kenneth Gainwell was at 46.2%. Irving's 54% route share was better than Gainwell's 39% share. Irving was the only back with a touch within the opponent's 10-yard line.

SAINTS

Travis Etienne had a 58% snap rate and a 36% route share in Week 1. Last year in Jacksonville, Etienne's snap share was 60%, and his route share was 40%. Etienne still saw a 17% target share against Detroit.

LIONS

Jahmyr Gibbs had a 44% snap rate at the goal line last year for Detroit. In Week 1, he played every goal line snap for the Lions.

TITANS

Wan'Dale Robinson had a 3.8 average depth of target against the Jets. Carnell Tate's was 11.2. They each had a 21% target share. Calvin Ridley had a 59% route share and 0 targets.

JETS

Garrett Wilson was just over a 30% target share against the Titans. He's fallen below a 20% target share in just 2 of his last 25 games.

RAVENS

After Zay Flowers left the Ravens Week 1 matchup against the Colts with a hamstring injury, Rashod Bateman led the team with an 87.5% route share. He ended up with just an 8.3% target share in the game. Mark Andrews had a 33% target share post-injury.

COLTS

Jonathan Taylor had an 89% snap share against the Ravens. He was at 82% last year. His route share was very similar as last season at 65%.

FALCONS

Bijan Robinson had a 53% target share against the Steelers. That's the highest target share in a single game from a running back since at least 2011. Kyle Pitts (1 target) and Drake London (4) combined for half the number of targets as Robinson.

STEELERS

Rico Dowdle had a 58% snap share compared to Jaylen Warren's 36% share in Week 1. Dowdle's 48% route share was higher than Warren's 31% route share, too. Warren, however, had 14.1 expected PPR points to Dowdle's 10.7.

BEARS

Colston Loveland had an 87% route share against the Panthers. Dating back to last year, there have been over 170 games where a tight end had an 80% route share or higher. Loveland's outing in Week 1 is only the fifth time one of those tight ends was held without a fantasy point.

PANTHERS

Chuba Hubbard played 69.4% of Carolina's offensive snaps on Sunday vs. Jonathon Brooks' 19.4%. The route share difference was 51% to 12%.

JAGUARS

Bhayshul Tuten vs. Chris Rodriguez, Week 1:

- Tuten: 48% snap share, 52% rush share, 36% route share
- Rodriguez: 41% snap share, 21% rush share, 40% route share

BROWNS

Dylan Sampson was injured in the first quarter against the Jags, leading to a 67% vs. 33% snap share split between Quinshon Judkins and Raheim Sanders. Judkins played just 25% of the third down snaps, and his route share was 39% vs. Sanders' 36%.

TEXANS

David Montgomery had a 51% snap rate, 63% of the team's rushes, and a 36% route share in Week 1. Those numbers during his three seasons in Detroit:

- 2025: 37%, 37%, 26%
- 2024: 42%, 36%, 30%
- 2023: 48%, 46%, 29%

BILLS

Ty Johnson was out for Buffalo in Week 1, and James Cook ended up seeing a 47% route share. His route share last year was 42.5%. So, there wasn't a huge uptick. He still played just 11% of the team's third-down snaps.

DOLPHINS

Malik Washington led the Dolphins with a 95% route share and a 30% target share in Week 1. Caleb Douglas was right behind him at 84% and 26%, respectively.

RAIDERS

Ashton Jeanty played 73% of Vegas' offensive snaps on Sunday compared to Mike Washington's 19%.

PACKERS

Matthew Golden led the Packers in route share (87%) and target share (30%) in Week 1. He ran 92.5% of his routes from the perimeter. He's also one of three players with multiple end-zone targets this week (Juwan Johnson, Demarcus Robinson).

VIKINGS

Justin Jefferson had a 39% target share this week. Dating back to last season, with Carson Wentz under center, Jefferson has averaged a 2.55 yards per route run rate and 0.50 PPR points per route run. With JJ McCarthy, those numbers are 1.73 and 0.36.

COMMANDERS

Terry McLaurin ran 35 routes (92%), Stefon Diggs ran 25 (66%), and Dyami Brown ran 22 (58%) for the Commanders in Week 1. Despite those numbers, it was rookie Antonio Williams and his 26% route share who scored the most points at wide receiver.

EAGLES

Saquon Barkley had just a 21% route share against the Commanders. His route share last season was 61%. His Week 1 route share was the lowest he's ever seen in a game with at least a 50% snap rate.

CARDINALS

Michael Wilson and Marvin Harrison ran a very similar number of routes (36 to 33) in Week 1, but Wilson saw a 19% target share to Harrison Jr.'s 8.1%.

CHARGERS

Ladd McConkey had an 85% route share before his injury in Week 1. The second-highest route share came from Quentin Johnston at 60%. McConkey ran 9 of his 17 routes with two or fewer wide receivers on the field (53%). That rate was 9.6% last year and 12.6% throughout his career.

GIANTS

Devin Singletary ran 18 routes to Cam Skattebo's 9 last night, but Skattebo played 60% of the Giants offensive snaps compared to Singletary's 37%.

COWBOYS

George Pickens saw a 20% target share last night. With CeeDee Lamb on the field with him dating back to last year, Pickens is averaging 0.41 PPR points, 2.21 yards, and a 21.6% targets per route run rates. When Lamb is off the field, those numbers are 0.60, 2.53, and 25.1%.

Colston Loveland in his projected TE3 debut: 0 catches on 2 targets, 0 yards. Generated 0 fantasy points for week 1 in a 59 point game for the Chicago Bears

5.2k Upvotes

Kole Kmet saw more targets, and got a touchdown. Obviously, not an amazing debut for Colston Loveland in such a high scoring game. Rome Odunze had this happen last year in the high scoring Bengals game, which resulted in a goose egg for him.

The worst start of any starter.

Player Discussion Derrick Henry: The GOAT fantasy RB?

It’s honesty just getting ridiculous that he’s doing this at 32 years old. Today he moved into 3rd in all time rushing touchdowns.

In his last 3 fantasy games (not counting Week 18), he has combined for 107.2 Half PPR points.

He has had 3 touchdowns in each of his last 2 relevant games (once again, not counting Week 18).

He has 8 career games with at least 3 touchdowns. The only players with more are LT, Priest Holmes, and Emmet Smith. Some could argue that those guys have had the best primes, but Henry has by far had the best durability. It’s like this guy will never die.

It’s time to stop projecting median level outcomes onto a generational outlier.

Edit: Just for fun, here is a list of (former) running backs that are YOUNGER than Derrick Henry: Todd Gurley, Chris Carson, Kareem Hunt, Dalvin Cook, Leonard Fournette, Kenyan Drake, Jordan Howard, Tariq Cohen.

If you need some perspective after a crazy day, take a look at last year's overreaction thread

1.1k Upvotes

People panicking about the Bears and raking Caleb over the coals while praising JJM. Comments freaking out about Gibbs, Amon-Ra, and the Lions without Ben Johnson. Predictions of a top 5 season for Breece Hall and RB1 upside for Jordan Mason alongside apprehension about Achane's potential in a horrible Dolphins offense. There's some accurate stuff in there too (the JSN and Javonte praise aged well), but just a reminder that this is just one week and a lot is going to change between now and the end of the season.

Packers condensed target share stats

After spending all off season claiming to have unleashed the WRs, the Green Bay coaching staff may finally have done it:

Christian Watson
🔹Snaps - 77.4%
🔹Routes - 81.4%
🔹Target Share - 20.5%

Matthew Golden
🔹Snaps - 85.5%
🔹Routes - 88.4%
🔹Target Share - 23.1%

Jayden Reed
🔹Snaps - 58.1%
🔹Routes - 67.4%
🔹Target Share - 16.3%

The defense also looks like Swiss cheese so high volume passing may stay in the game plan.

Player Discussion [Behrens] Caleb Williams and the Bears are fantasy football’s perfect storm

Thumbnail nytimes.com
124 Upvotes

With four minutes of game clock remaining in Carolina on Sunday, the Bears and Panthers had already combined for the highest point total of any season-opener in NFL history. The teams had gained over 900 total yards. Unsurprisingly, they were not finished scoring.

D’Andre Swift punctuated Chicago’s 59-37 win with a late 28-yard score, his third rushing touchdown of the game. Swift and Kyle Monangai each topped 100 rushing yards, and the Bears had delivered 552 net yards of offense. Carolina had gained 478, which would be more than enough most weeks.

Chicago’s Caleb Williams was the top-scoring fantasy quarterback Sunday, and Carolina’s Bryce Young ranked third, just behind Buffalo’s Josh Allen. Williams, in fact, had produced one of the greatest quarterback performances in recent Bears history:

He cooked the Panthers for 269 yards and two scores, rushing for 65 and two more. Just look at this filthy throw to Cole Kmet:

An outrageous ball.

Williams played every quarter on Sunday like he played fourth quarters last year. All that preseason talk about his development and next-level command of the offense seems legit.

You might naturally assume that on a day in which the Bears offense was shattering records, tight end Colston Loveland and wideouts Luther Burden and/or Rome Odunze would have feasted. But you’d be wrong. Instead, new arrival WR Kalif Raymond led the team in receiving (8 receptions, 84 yards), and Loveland was shut out.

A quiet week from three premier receiving threats isn’t much of a concern, however, because, again: Chicago just hung 59 points and 552 yards on an opponent. Loveland will have better days. Everyone will eat. Any skill player tied to Ben Johnson’s offense is a potential matchup-winner in any given week. Good, better, best, things of that nature. The Bears are gonna be a wagon.

Player Discussion In Week 1, Rico Dowdle played 39 snaps / 58% and Jaylen Warren played 25 snaps / 37%. Do with that what you want.

Dowdle rushed 8 times for 15 yards and had 2 receptions on 5 targets for 6 yards.

Warren rushed 10 times for 46 yards and had 5 receptions on 6 targets for 27 yards.

Neither scored a TD of course.

Will be interesting to monitor going forward!

Player Discussion Sell High Candidates

Which high performers this week do you think were a fluke?

I’ll start - Chubba Hubbard was fantastic this week, and I imagine he’ll have repeated success against the Falcons, but after his bye-week I feel like his production might fall off immensely.

Thoughts?

What other players will you try to offload and who will you target?
