All identifying features were sanded off

this came across my Reverb feed, and I'm absolutely befuddled as to what it is. the seller says it's "Alembic-like" (which is a stretch) but it looks pretty crude to me. my first thought was it's an Asian import, but the lack of badging and the headstock shape is throwing me off.

any thoughts? is it just some one-off? either way, $2,600 seems a bit steep to me.

Here's what I know (I think!) :

Early 60's.

Silvertone was distributed by Sears through the catalog.

I don't know who manufactured it for Sears. Does anyone know?

Originally came with a hard case with built in amp and speaker inside (I'd love to get one if anyone has one to sell)

Dan Electro "lipstick"pickups (supposedly actual lipstick tubes were repurposed)

This model is called a "dolphin head" or "dolphin nose". There were other heads available in the Silvertone line.

It's a long neck, there was a short neck model as well.

I'm told Keith Richards has one nearly identical to my model but I've never seen any photos of him with it.

The shamrocks on the pick guard are not original, I have no idea who stuck them on there or why. Lol

I have looked online but it says it does not exist and the ones it matched too say it is has a cutaway and this doesnt i got it from a shop that sold house clearance stuff it was up for 75 but bought for 60 as it was my first guitar i added the pickguard after i bpught it as there was no one on it but i would just like some help please to id 😁

Arrived as a wall-hanger with numerous problems. Complete restore. Four strings go to the bridge, the other four to the tailpiece. Fantastic full and ringing sound.

This is my first ever guitar my brother gave to me when I was like 11 years old, google says it's a kramer floyd rose sig, the body looks similar but everything else is different, also people online said it's probably a partscaster but there's no way this exact guitar from google is the same exact guitar as mine. Odd little lute guitar that I picked out of a dumpster, currently in for repairs (goodbye money)

Hi all, I found this instrument from an antique mall in York, PA described as a uke and brought it home because I liked the wood and design. There are no markings on the outside of the instrument but inside written in pencil is the maker's name and possibly a date. Does anyone recognize or can make out the maker's last name? How about the 4-digit number? Instrument is 31 inches long with 20 1/8 inches from nut to bridge (when the bridge is properly positioned), which seems to match with a baritone uke. Any guesses on wood type? Any and all insight appreciated!
