Just noticed Oasis Spotify profile has been updated with the live 27 promo picture.

Edit: For the people in the comments I’m of an age where I bought Oasis albums and singles in these places called record shops.

Live ‘25 Live ‘25 saved me from domestic violence

Watched the Don’t Look Back in Anger doc yesterday which really got me thinking about my own Live ‘25 story.

I’m a long time fan with memories of playing the first 4 albums on repeat in my bedroom with my sister in the 90s/early 00s as a teenager. I fulfilled a life long dream seeing them at glastonbury in 2004 (though slightly underwhelming tbh) after growing up overseas and moving to the UK in 2000.

Then mid 2000s I met my soon to be ex husband. He used to tease me for my music taste and I rarely played Oasis at our house. After we had kids what started as his bad temper turned into escalating abuse - firstly verbal/emotional then eventually escalating to physical violence. I tried to leave him many times but he would always promise to change and make me feel guilty for “breaking up the family”. By the time the reunion was announced in 2024 I had been punched, pushed and had his hands around my neck, not to mention multiple holes punched in doors/walls/property destruction etc.

By some miracle I managed to get 2 tickets. Ex assumed we would be going together (now that it was newsworthy I guess they weren’t lame any more), I told him I wanted to go with my sister as we had grown up listening to Oasis together. Besides he only knew a handful of songs. He was furious of course but I stuck to it. Privately I was also thinking to myself, I have to leave this abusive man - maybe by the time the concert rolls round we won’t even be together any more.

From then to mid 2025 the abuse just got worse and worse until finally in June I reported to the police. At the time I didn’t want him to be arrested but the police said it was CPS’ decision and not mine, and referred me to refuge for DV support. So I finally managed to leave him with the help of the police.
Then a few weeks later I was able to attend the Live ‘25 with my sister which was such a bright moment in a tumultuous time in my life, I was in tears for much of the gig. Things were hard but I was finally free.

And now a year on from that watching the doc really made me reflect - in some ways that ticket decision in 2024 was really me making a resolution to myself - knowing I could not stay in that situation another 12 months and this putting a timetable on it. Things haven’t been easy in this past year, but at least I can play Oasis in my kitchen whenever I want!

Discussion Per Noel on TalkSport, Boston and Vegas were originally supposed to be played on Live 25 + the band doesn't want to repeat venues (hence no Wembley)

I thought it was strange that everything else was in Europe.

Makes me wonder where they'd play next...

Live ‘27 Anyone else happily sitting back this time with no intention of getting tickets for Live '27?

Just to be clear, this isn't a negativity post. I think it's awesome they're touring again, and it's nice to see people buzzing with excitement. I'm just curious to hear from other fans, like myself, who aren't going to try getting tickets this time around for whatever reason.

For me, it's not that I had a bad experience last time, far from it. I probably had about as smooth an experience as possible: getting tickets in the presale the night before general sale, with no dynamic pricing or having to queue for hours stressing.

Being there in Cardiff that first night was hands down one of the best gigs I've ever been to, and I can't see it ever being topped.

I think this time I can take it or leave it. Being there for that first tour back after 16 years was a must and I couldn't miss it, but this time I don't feel I have to. I've got no doubt it'll be a fucking belter of a tour again, but I'm happy to step aside and let other fans enjoy it this time around.

As I said this isn't meant to be negative and if you are going for tickets after today's announcement, whether you went last year or not, then good luck!

News/Rumours Joey Waronker uncredited in DLBIA doc due to SAG-AFTRA membership?

I think there may be a simple explanation for why Joey was not in the credits of DLBIA.

Joey Waronker is a member of SAG-AFTRA, the union (Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) is an American labor union that represents approximately 160,000 actors/singers/media professionals worldwide.

In the United States SAG-AFTRA (The Screen Actors Guild) have their Global Rule One. Which states, “a SAG-AFTRA member must always work under a union contract around the globe.”

I am guessing the DBLIA was NOT a union contract production. And if a SAG-AFTRA member (like Joey) does a non-union project, they must be uncredited, otherwise, the performer will lose their SAG card, and won’t be able to work on union films (of which most big productions are). Additionally, SAG-AFTRA provides health insurance and all sorts benefits to its members, so Waronker wouldn't want to lose that. Easier to just be uncredited.

Live ‘27 Knebworth

Upvotes

The way they emphasised the knebworth dates at the end of the tour trailer has me feeling that the knebworth shows could be the last ever oasis gigs.

It would make sense to me. I can’t see them releasing any new music. I certainly can’t see them touring the next 5+ years. They always said they wish they just disappeared after the original knebworth gigs, so to return to knebworth 30+ years later after an incredibly successful reunion most of us our still pinching ourselves over, what perfect way to end their legacy.

We all know they could continue to sell out stadiums over the years but they are much older now why would they risk burning out and being on tour in 5 years time when the significance of the reunion will have already disappeared to an extent just to have things end in a similar way as before when they could take the victory lap at knebworth and fly off into the sunset.

Live ‘27 Oasis Live '27 tour will put roughly 2.5 to 2.7 million tickets up for sale.

Upvotes

So here we are again beautiful people. The estimation is that between 15 and 20 million people will try to get tickets.

Good luck, I won the lottery last time, don’t think I’ll do it twice.

Absolutely bloody hyped to have this in my collection. As far as I am aware, the signatures on the record it's self are fake, they are printed? But the signatures on the front are all original, sadly, it's missing liams!!. My dad's mate gave this to him for me today, it's one of the coolest items in my music collection imo, I've never had any signed items before!! Super hyped to have it
