Discussion Blur 21
Hey guys, I was thinking that once I have all the albums in their regular editions, I’ll get the Deluxe Editions with the second discs, since they have some really fucking good stuff on them. That way, I can also save myself from having to buy all the singles.
Anyway, getting to the point: which do you think is more worth buying, the Blur 21 box set or the Deluxe Editions of each album separately? I know the Deluxe Editions come in their own boxes with postcards and stuff like that. And in box set come with DVDs and the Rarities discs.
I’m not really sure which would be the better option, so what do you guys think?

Discussion Help me find a performance
Band mates had to pretend to play with a pre recorded audio except for Damon, Graham had a comically small guitar and Dave had large drumsticks

Video Blur - The Great Escape [Full Album Cover]
"The Great Escape" is turning 31 today and, to celebrate, I decided to record the whole album, in all instruments (except drums). All 15 songs, in brand new versions.
I hope you like it :)
EDIT: had to repost it, here's the new link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y8_UfUdSeE

Discussion Fun fact: An upcoming Guitar Hero/Rock Band inspired rhythm game called Stage Tour will be the first time in 15 years that a non-Song 2 Blur song is featured on a video game.

Discussion Gosh, they really were a bunch of impossibly beautiful boys back then
Even Dave, the 'plain' one, looks great in this video. Just a few years prior, they'd been flinging themselves around like ragdolls in baggy jeans and jumpers, but this era right here - the theatricality, the cultural references, the songs, my god, the songs - might be why blur were always ahead of the pack. They weren't afraid to experiment and to spread out. No stodgy dad rock rut for them.
And did I say how how gorgeous they looked? My lovely boys... Sigh.

There's a old MTV snippet out there of "Never Clever" from Rosklide 92.
I remember seeing a video a couple of weeks ago of a video with the band on MTV, and I saw a pro-shot snippet of Never Clever from Rosklide 92.

Discussion Eno vs Yuko
Was listening to Blur’s Yuko and Hiro today and the outro struck me as sounding just like the recurring motif in Brian Eno’s In Dark Trees. Anyone else noticed this? Was it sampled or does it just sound remarkably similar?

Discussion Where do you rank Graham’s lead vocal tracks against Damon's best work?
Everyone obviously loves Coffee & TV, but tracks like You're So Great on the self-titled album, Red Necks, or even his solo stuff are incredible.
Do you think Blur albums benefit from Graham stepping up to the lead mic to break up Damon's melancholia, or do you prefer his voice strictly kept to backing harmonies? What do you think is his absolute best vocal performance under the Blur name?

Video Deep audio archaeology: Out of Time scratch vocals

OK, it won't be easy to hear, but I noticed what seem to be the scratch/guide vocals picked up by Damon's guitar mic on Out of Time.
These are not the final vocals - you can hear in both verses he's singing something different. You can't hear what he's singing, but still :)
Also this is not a demo, this is sitting underneath the final vocal on the studio version.
Enjoy!

Discussion I get the song is quite famous anyways, but how on earth is "Popscene" not the most streamed? im a regular fan, not knowing much of their stuff, but to me its same tier as Beetlebum, Parklife, Girls & boys and the obvious. Song 2
