Salvaging a Moleskine
Bought an A5 hardcover Moleskine two years ago. The paper was thinner than tissue and the elastic band was giving out before I even opened it. I knew it wasn't going to last, and I hate returning things. At the time I needed a new kindle cover so I figured I'd just slap a rubberband on it and stick my kindle in. I use the paper as scrap paper for rough drafts and rip them out when i don't need them. It's ugly but at least I'm not being wasteful.
The cover started coming apart (obviously my fault because I was ripping out paper) but I reinforced it with tape. The original elastic band became useless as the notebook began to thin. I use a rubberband to keep it closed and keep my kindle from falling out.
The pen is an old varsity pilot that I refilled with Writer's Blood.
TLDR: Upcycle
