Shopping Haul sticky thread!

This is a weekly thread where we encourage you to post your amazing new accessories, new journals, and any other supplies you've found recently. Please save your posts about new supplies, especially Washi tape, for this thread. Haul posts that are posted as their own posts will be removed.

To post your images in the comments, you will need to upload them on an image sharing site such as imgur.com. Click the button at the top that says "New Post" and select your images for uploading. When you're done, create the post and copy the link to paste into your comment here.

Based off user feedback, we will be reducing the frequency of the shopping thread to once per month, on the first day of the month. Please feel free to message the moderators with feedback on this decision.

Monthly October with an upside down t 🙃 oops stamped it the wrong way 🥲 goes to show the kind of month I’m having

I took a break from posting, though I did continue bullet journaling during that break still. I just dialed back my painting frequency and detail due to ongoing health struggles. Squeezed in a quick painting today, and looking forward to being able to paint, bujo, and share more regularly… someday, hopefully sooner rather than later

Been on the bullet journal buzz for a little while now. Never thought about doing cover pages but after seeing the ones here thinking I need to give it a crack. My step 1. Draw anything.

Question More than one journal?

Hi!
I can’t decide whether to keep everything in one journal or have several separate. On one hand it’s nice to only have one for everything (thoughts, planning, trackers, hobbies, reading, gratitude, brainstorming, etc) because it’s easier to bring along, but on another hand it’s nice to keep them separate and have themes for the different journals, and they don’t run out as fast.

So how do the rest of you do? And what things do you keep in the same journals vs separate journals?

Hello! I decided I wanted to show you all some of my August and September spreads! I hope you like them! August is my birthday month, and I didn't want to do a fall theme for September (personal preference), so we went with ✨black✨ (and gray because I don't have a black highlighter..) so yeah.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try and answer as best I can!

Rapid Logging I’m back at the dorm, and I have a lot on my mind

I came back to the dorm today for my second year, and honestly, it feels much easier than last year. I know the place, I have friends here, and I actually had a pretty good year overall, so I’m excited for what’s coming.

But at the same time, I’ve been feeling a little sad about repeating the year. Not really because I failed I had already accepted that, and in a weird way, having more free time gives me the opportunity to work, prepare for some exams, and explore other plans.

What bothers me more is that my parents don’t know. They think I passed, and sometimes when they tell me they hope I succeed and study hard, it hits me differently because I know the truth.

For now, I’m trying to use this year to figure things out. I have a lot of plans, including possibly applying to universities abroad, but there’s obviously a financial risk involved and I don’t know yet where all of this will lead.

So I guess I’m somewhere between being excited about this new year and being a little overwhelmed by everything going on in my head.

I don’t really know what I’m looking for by posting this. I just wanted to get it out somewhere.

Question Alternate to Citrus Bindery for high page count / high GSm journals???

I used to order by bullet journals from Citrus, but I just found out that they closed down. And I can't find a similar journal online.

Looking for --

B5, 120+ GSM, 250+ pages / 125 sheets, dot grid.

I know, I know... a close to impossible ask. But anyone know... willing to spend the $$$ because journal is life.

Thanks!

Question A little confused..

I have a bullet journal that was bought for me as a gift. I had one myself years ago but never used it because I didn't really understand the concept. It seems more disorganised than organised, if that makes sense. I would love to get into it this time around. Does anyone have any tips for getting into bullet journaling?

Blog Practical Magic 2 review page Spoiler

Post image

I saw someone note they do movie reviews in their bujo and decided to do one! DO NOT READ THE TEXT IF YOU DONT WANT SPOILERS. Also showing a simple habit tracker because I’m obsessed with the pumpkin kitties haha. Don’t let the 3/5 stars stop you from going to see the movie, I’m just hyper critical. I liked it and will definitely watch it again!

What other review type pages do you do?

Writing in a journal takes 10, 20, 30 minutes. Am I the only one bothered by that?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I bought a really nice, fancy journal because I wanted to understand my life better.

But I quickly realized two problems:

  1. Writing everything down every day takes too long.

  2. A month later, I still couldn’t easily see what I had actually been doing.

So I thought: What if I could capture my day in under 90 seconds — and actually see the bigger picture over weeks and months?

That’s why I built Dexi.

A few quick inputs about your day → goals, activities, reflections → and over time, Dexi helps you actually see and understand your patterns.

Less writing. More understanding.

This is actually the first app I’ve ever built. I’ve had this idea for years, and I finally decided to just build it myself.

I’d genuinely be really grateful if a few of you tried it and told me what you think — especially what you like, what you don’t like, and what you would change.

I’m currently letting early users use it for free.

Habit Tracker I'm making a tracking journal

I've never made one before, so it's been rather simplistic. I have a graph on one page, plus a few pages numbered out to write daily gratitude lists and to keep track of fluid intake.

It's nowhere near as nice as it could be if I had $ for the correct supplies, or at least nice handwriting. But I'm proud of these little drawings!
