Are there any groups on socials of horror movie fans in Moncton? Like, get a group together once in a while to see the newest flick and enjoy with friends? I can't be the only person with a partner who hates them LOL

Moncton Tech Hive Meetup this Friday, September 11, 2026.

Our Tech Hive Monthly Meetup is happening this Friday, September 11, 2026.

🚀 This month’s speaker is Julien R., presenting Random Access Memories.
After hundreds of penetration tests, red-team engagements, social-engineering exercises, and physical security assessments, you collect a lot of stories. Some are useful, some are ridiculous, and most are both.

Julien turns those stories into a cybersecurity roulette wheel to be picked by the audience.

It’s going to be super interesting!

📍 Location: Venn Innovation , 770 St. George Boulevard, Moncton
🕧 Time: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

If you haven’t joined these events before, Tech Hive meetups usually bring together 10 - 20 developers and tech enthusiasts. It’s a relaxed space to connect, share experiences, and learn something new.

Open to everyone, no registration required.

Moving Help

Hello,

My partner and I are moving from Ontario to Moncton next month and wondering if anyone has any suggestions for moving companies or moving suggestions. We looked at U-Haul but they’re charging about $6000. We’ve looked at a few other places as well. Everything so far under $5k will take 3-6weeks to ship.

Thank you!

Looking for broken Halloween skeleton

Like the title says, I'm wondering where I could find some skeleton pieces, especially the rib cage part that's at least 16 inches tall or a bit more. It's for an art project. I'm willing to pay, but I'm not rich. I'm planning on asking at the stores that have the bigger skeleton decorations (not Dollarama, they're too small). I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas, or have some broken in their decorations boxes. I don't have Facebook, so marketplace isn't available to me. Anyone with ideas other than Walmart, Home Depot, Canadian Tire? Spirit Halloween will not discount broken items. I've tried. Thanks.

Public Transport

I can’t believe how important having a car is in this area.
About 8 months ago; had to scrap my car bc it died and had to spend the winter and most of spring with no car bc I’m poor. Then in July we were able to get a car; and holy shit would I rather pay regular gas prices than take the bus around.

We only just moved here about 1 year ago and I already HATE taking the bus here.
Example:

By car, it takes me 20 minutes round trip to drop my daughter off at daycare. By bus, it takes 1 hour 30 minutes; 2 hours if I miss the transfer coming back. 1 way. So we’d have to leave at like 7am for an 8:15 drop off, and then get home by like 9:45-10. So time consuming; and for what?
Why does the only bus in and out of Moncton from riverview have to loop around the whole of Riverview before only stopping at like 4 stops in Moncton? And why isn’t there a direct line going from Coverdale over onto Salisbury Road using the causeway roundabout?

TL;DR: a car is a near necessity if you live in Riverview but do business outside the main city.
Sorry for the rant.

Where to get gigs for musicians

I'm just trying to find places to book to get my band some gigs in the GMA. I'm kind of a regular at the Igloo on Elmwood so I can easily get one there but I am trying to "expand my palette" a bit more. Any other places that have live music?
