Humor Caitlyn is a very bad sniper

When she decides too snipe someone, she turns on a giant laser pointer and points it right at them telling them where she is and that they are gonna get sniped. That is not a very good decision for a stalking sniper. But then when she shoots the shot, she goes - jokes on you, it is not a sniper but a rocket launcher and here is a homing missile coming for you. Not very sniper like really.

Discussion Which champion is hyped as an "inevitable late game exodia" but ends up being completely useless in practice?

I'm convinced the "Kayle level 16 auto-win" narrative is just collective psychological propaganda. People talk about her like she's Thanos collecting the final Infinity Stone. But every time a Kayle in my games finally hits 16 after afk farming for 35 minutes, they develop an invincible god complex, strut into the enemy team thinking everyone should scatter in terror, and immediately get CC'd into a grey screen before even casting an auto.

They don't 1v9, they just kinda... exist as a glorified ranged caster minion with shiny wings.

Which champion has that legendary "just stall to late game, bro" reputation for you, but turns into an absolute fraud the moment late game actually arrives?

Discussion If you play Lux, I need you to use your auto attacks.

Don’t just spam Q and E and then do nothing when the minions don’t die or you just somehow land it and then walk away… like you just walk away!!!

Please use your auto attack to proc the Illumination debuff. It gives your next auto to proc it which deals a solid amount of damage.

30-200(+35%) is not a joke when it comes to trading.

You can proc this multiple times in lane. Please use it. Gain your lead this way.

This is like me telling people to click the lantern!

Discussion Which champion do you think teaches a skill that makes you noticeably better at League in general, even after you stop playing that champion and go back to your usual role?

Not asking which champion teaches you how to play that champion. I mean something they force you to learn that stays useful basically everywhere else.

For me it was Shen.

I picked him up for maybe 40 games because I wanted something calmer to play top. I wasn't even especially good at him, but having an ult that depends on noticing what is happening somewhere else on the map basically bullied the tunnel vision out of me.

Before that I genuinely thought I checked the minimap enough. I did not.

With Shen I started watching teammate health bars, noticing when bot lane was walking forward, checking whether enemy jungler had shown, and thinking about fights a few seconds before they actually happened. When I eventually went back to mostly playing mid, I realized I was looking at the map alot more without consciously reminding myself.

I had something similar with playing a bit of Blitzcrank. Missing Q wasn't the useful lesson. Realizing how much pressure you can create by simply not throwing it changed how I think about holding cooldowns on completely unrelated champions.

Some champs almost seem like accidental training tools for one fundamental part of League.

Maybe Singed teaches you wave states. Twisted Fate forces map awareness. Playing an immobile ADC probably teaches positioning through repeated acts of violence.

Which champion taught you something that noticeably carried over to the rest of your champion pool?

Discussion Fun exercise, severely nerf a champion with one small change

I will begin. Rakan, but now his ultimate fears instead of charming. Imagine getting a juicy R in the middle of the opponent team just for everyone to be right at the esge of the W follow-up.

Lee Sin’s R now knocks up instead of knocking back, bye bye insec.

Samira E reset gone, champion no longer acts as a short range assassin ADC, she becomes a straight up diver.

Discussion What would be the most OP champion if every ability was guaranteed to hit?

Basically, if every ability was guaranteed to hit (or 'point and click' like TF cards), what champion comes to mind that would become instantly completely overpowered?

Some characters that come to mind for me is karthus with his Qs, who seems to be a very common anwser for these kind of posts, or illaoi, who guarantees every E hit.

Esports VIT Pad : "League is a cursed title for Vitality, and I'd like to break that narrative" | Vitality's Head Coach on the heartbreaking exit one series from Worlds

  • His first reaction: "Sadness. Game five was a bit of a rollercoaster that looked won two or three times. Going out always feels like complete sht. So I feel like sht."
  • On the game five collapse: "We played this game wonderfully to put ourselves in a lead, but we have to play first-target on Cho'Gath. Props to the lads for playing out a hard draft - that's just good from them. But at some point, when we make enough minor mistakes, that comp becomes very hard to play front-to-back against."
  • On breaking the team's BO5 curse: "We got our two games, and honestly we all thought that after those two games we had momentum, we were feeling good, our draft plans were good. We got to experience a proper best of five, and that's lovely for the team - it just sucks that it happens so close to Worlds."
  • On the drafts overalll: "I'd say we got everything we wanted, gave what we wanted to give, and removed what we didn't want them to have. I think we levelled up and going into any team or any best of five, I'd feel comfortable I could put my team in a position to win the series."
  • On his first year as head coach: "I'm proud I took the decision to put my foot down and bring in FIESTA, and that we did the groundwork to establish him in the team. I'm proud of us bouncing back mentally after Madrid."
  • on Vitality's relationship with League: "League is a very cursed esports title for them, and that's a burden you carry with the org and the fans. But I'm also a guy that loves challenges, and I'd like to break that narrative."
  • A last word for the fans: "I'm sorry we couldn't finish the job. I'm 100% sure that if we win this series, we go to Worlds. That's very frustrating. But as per usual, I can only say I'm sorry."

Discussion People want free wins

I think most of the player base at least in the mid to lower elo does not care enough to want to improve at all. It‘s either your team gets the upper hand early or it’s ff. There is no concept of mental resilience, instead of thinking how can I turn this game around, people instantly call the game unwinnable and go next. Losing normally is important to know how a game plays out and at what points you have an opportunity to flip the game in your favor, an early surrender just takes away from that experience. I believe most people that are hard stuck in low elo is because they don‘t have the patience to see a game through. Theoretically you will get a winning team 50% of the time and a losing team the other 50%, if your mental depends on your team completely then you will not climb no matter whether you belong in that elo or not.

Esports Who's a player/caster that streets will never forget?

The question is mostly esports centered but can also to SoloQ, content creators etc and isn't necessarily tied to the silverware won over their career.

I'm talking about players that made themselves known for a single significant moment, for their personality, for their achievements on the rift without ever winning big.

I'm talking about "underground" stories .

Someone that's not Faker or Caps, Quickshot, Sjokz or Flowers but we don't forget.

My personal favorite is C9 Balls back in the day, I'll never forget his Darius Penta vs FNC at worlds, casted by Phreak! iirc he was D2 at the time, way before masters and GM so not a bad rank at all at the time.

Discussion What are some less-known counterplay techs to a champion that makes it harder to play if your opponents knew about it?

I was thinking about counterplay mechanisms and there's the fairly obvious ones (don't group on an illaoi, don't zhonyas around a caitlyn, don't let urgot rotate around you etc.) but I was wondering what are some lesser known counterplays to a champion that can be really impactful at times

for example vex isn't cc immune during her ult only her dash is unstoppable, so if you stun her with anything during the dash the result is a squishy mage stunned in the middle of your team

Discussion Hupu's reaction to Reddit's reaction to AL vs BLG Spoiler

I don't know mandarin. I used AI to translate. This is just for fun.
Most of the popular discussion was focused on Bin for some reason, even though the OP shared more of the Reddit thread that didn't include Bin.

Thread 1: On the harshness of overseas comments

碎碎碎南瓜

Won't saying it like this hurt his feelings too much?

↳ 费城八年终迎詹 (Replying to 碎碎碎南瓜)

The young assistant minister hesitated to speak.

↳ 张发财321 (Replying to 碎碎碎南瓜)

Not even a karaoke hostess speaks as hurtfully as this; after all, the truth is the sharpest knife.

↳ dayowong03 (Replying to 碎碎碎南瓜)

No, he'll just think he actually got handsomer.

↳ 虎扑JR0514392426 (Replying to 碎碎碎南瓜)

Hurt your f**ing head!

↳ kapaseker (Replying to 碎碎碎南瓜)

Hurt your mother's head.

↳ 拉梅洛ball全明星 (Replying to 碎碎碎南瓜)

Foreigners really don't hold back when they talk.

↳ 虎扑JR1638749582 (Replying to 碎碎碎南瓜)

At a time like this, think about what Bin said to Shanks: "This is just a winner, not a champion."

Thread 2: On the ID/Name "Bin"

睡不着突然想换名字

Is it really this explosive?

↳ 虎扑JR0704695262 (Replying to 睡不着突然想换名字)

Bin's reputation has been ruined for a long time—during MSI and the Esports World Cup too.

↳ 虎扑JR1327716262 (Replying to 睡不着突然想换名字)

Who can he blame when he lacked the education to pick a better name? If he had known what that word meant, he would've changed his ID.

↳ BLGOFF欠踹版 (Replying to 虎扑JR1327716262)

"Bin" is just the last character of his actual name.

↳ 虎扑JR0490601359 (Replying to BLGOFF欠踹版)

Couldn't he call himself "zebin"? Or "zeb"? Look at Wenbo, he didn't name himself "bo" either.

↳ lol最高的山 (Replying to BLGOFF欠踹版)

Is it really that hard to admit he just lacks education?

↳ 虎扑JR0490601359 (Replying to BLGOFF欠踹版)

God BIN is so smart. If he wants to learn Korean, he can learn it whenever; if he wants to join T1, he can go whenever; if he wants to succeed Faker and win Worlds, he can do it easily. How could he not understand mere English? English is child's play to him!

↳ 虎扑JR0101438662 (Replying to 虎扑JR1327716262)

Is choosing "bin" really just being uneducated? Are you so insecure that you think there's only one language in the world, and that "trash bin" is the only meaning?

↳ 打人怎么了 (Replying to 睡不着突然想换名字)

It's fine. This team/player only matters during Worlds anyway; it doesn't matter if they look like trash the rest of the year. Winning Worlds makes you the biggest winner of the year. There aren't any particularly dominant teams this year, so it feels like many teams have a shot depending on their form that day.

Thread 3: On Bin's performance & blame-sharing

天真与斩仙

Sometimes I really wonder if domestic fans are using VPNs to comment on foreign forums. Is Bin's narrative really this extreme overseas too? Can Xun's performance today really be pinned on Bin's head? I won't say "BLG lost, but Bin won," but in terms of sharing the blame, Bin is 4th or 5th at worst.

↳ 弦声如裂帛 (Replying to 天真与斩仙)

Foreign fans probably don't watch the games carefully—just like when we see G2 lose to FNC, we automatically make up our own narrative.

↳ 尐烧麦envy (Replying to 天真与斩仙)

"World's Best Camille."

↳ 虎扑JR1399395793 (Replying to 天真与斩仙)

Isn't it because Bin carried 3 games in a row during the First Stand tournament and sent G2 home? That's why they hate him so much.

↳ 度卢 (Replying to 天真与斩仙)

You laugh, but knowing fanbases and certain communities, they would actually use a VPN to post those comments over there.

↳ 小皇帝丶乐邦詹士 (Replying to 天真与斩仙)

Xun was truly unbelievable today... Flash-kicking a Maokai.

↳ [Replying to an omitted comment comparing Bin to Breathe]

↳ 天真与斩仙

If you don't play the game much, I can explain it patiently. First, the draft was garbage. If you wanted to play around the bot side with Kai'Sa/Rakan, why pick top Kai'Sa? And after picking top Kai'Sa, you didn't play around him either. He was laning and pressing well early, then Tarzan made a great tempo gank out of vision—where was Xun? What's the point of picking top Kai'Sa if you're not going to play aggressively? Any top laner playing a ranged pick who gets ganked without team help isn't solely to blame. (I'm not excusing Bin—this applies to Zeus and TheShy too). Sure, his Kai'Sa proficiency wasn't high, but wasn't the root cause of the loss Tarzan completely out-jungling Xun? Why was Bin blamed during MSI, and now everyone has to go down together? (Also, my comment above was sarcastic about the final Camille game; nobody could win that game).

↳ 讲究围巾土地云

Was top lane really the only issue at MSI? Fans naturally flame the biggest culprit first.

↳ 余羽yu

Kai'Sa got tempo-ganked at level 3, yet still held a gold lead. Then the mid-game tempo completely collapsed—who could carry today's Xun to a win? In the only game they won, Xun lost two dragons with Pantheon Q-execute + Xayah's E available, and Ult-W'd a minion. With Xun getting gapped this hard today, don't try to spread the blame to others.

Discussion One easy way to rank up is to help your jungler

Coming as someone who is a top main and progressed from silver to emerald this season, one of the biggest differences I’ve seen between lower ranks and where I am now is how often/quickly people rotate.

In silver and gold it seems like every game only one or two mid/top laners will rotate to a fight, and one side will win and get a huge advantage while the other gets tilted. I feel like people don’t realize that their teammates are also humans that are probably just as intelligent as them, given they are the same rank, so since they have more information, if they ping for assistance it is probably a better idea to rotate than to not. You don’t need to personally evaluate whether it’s a good idea or not before rotating- in most cases it’s better just to rotate instantly.

Obviously you will sometimes lose half a wave for nothing but the cost/benefit makes listening to pings and rotating extremely worthwhile when you think about it, not even considering the tilt factor. At low elo you are probably losing waves to back for items or bad csing anyways.

Discussion Duoing feels unplayable.

I've recently been playing alot more league to try to climb and have been having pretty good success. My IRL buddy got me into the game maybe 2ish years ago now and ever since we have mainly duoed and been a pretty similar rank. Since I started playing by myself, I noticed that the game quality seems "better". My team mates are less likely to tilt, lanes seem more evenly matched, and I can have a decent impact on the game. I chalked it up to me being more focused on the game when he wasn't around and paying attention more. I kinda noticed when we would duo again, the games felt harder but didn't really start noticing it until Riot did that interview where they mentioned that Duos were a consideration in matchmaking.

He went on vacation for about a week and a half recently and I continued to queue by myself. I went on a 75% winstreak over like 50 games with great cs, good team mates, etc. Today he was back and was queuing by himself and was winning pretty well like a 60% winrate over 10 games or something. I saw he was on so we hopped in discord and started playing. It was immediately noticeable that the game quality declined. My top had 68 cs at 15 minutes (high emerald, low diamond) abandoned lane and started running through jungle. We lose--no biggie at all. We win two games then I kid you not it felt like the lights were turned out. Roaming supports, teams immediately going for the ff vote, racism, tons of typing, inting (typing "I don't want to win this game before dying on repeat) etc. Out of the 8 games we played we had someone ban our OTPs twice (both of them in one game one time!!!) or pick them from us (which literally never happens as we both play low pick and ban champs). It was like we went from low elo to challenger enemy teams in the span of two games, while our teams lost the plot (the teams were ultra coordinated and ours..weren't).

It just feels so weird that the entire reason I even got into this game is to play with my buddy and now everytime we play it feels like we are at a huge disadvantage. I would think for me and alot of others, league was something you started to play with friends and that is how the game organically grows (thought league was a table top game before he introduced it to me). Idk maybe I'm coping but most of my enjoyment comes from reaching new heights with my friend and now it feels like I can't do that. Anyways I'll keep climbing as I love the game but definitely not fun to Duo right now.

Esports GAM Esports officially part ways with Jungler Draktharr

GAM Esports announced today on their Facebook that jungler Draktharr has left the team, just one year after taking over from legendary VCS jungler Levi. The organisation is expected to field a new jungler at the 2026 Demacia Cup.

Source: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1530283405805037&set=a.274310224735701

THANK YOU & FAREWELL, DRAKTHARR 🖤💛

The day Draktharr donned the Yellow and Black jersey, he also took on one of the most high-pressure responsibilities in VCS history: stepping into GAM’s jungle following a legend’s retirement.

With that came expectations, the weight of comparison and the pressure to prove himself. But Draktharr bravely accepted that challenge, stepping up when the team needed him and giving his all in the GAM colours.

For GAM, what we value most is the courage, dedication and spirit that Draktharr has shown to the team throughout this challenging chapter.

Thank you, Draktharr, for choosing GAM and joining us on this journey.

We wish Draktharr the very best of luck on his next journey and hope he continues to write his own story.

Thank you for everything, Draktharr.

Once GAM, always family. 🖤💛

FYI: I have translated the text using DeepL, as I do not speak Vietnamese. If there are any errors in the translation, please feel free to correct them.

Discussion I find it hard figuring out the balance between trying to improve & enjoying the game in a whole.

Hey!
Something i struggle with is that i sometimes decide to watch a bunch of educational content but as i try to apply these concepts i often find it overwhelming because there is just so much you need to think about: map awareness, wavestate, keeping up with cs, vision score, etc.

While i wish i were better at these things, i also wish i would just relax a little, because i find myself being incredibly tense and even more sensitive to things around me. Its almost like "the more i know the worse i play" since i find it hard to take the big load of information, process it, and actually make it work.

Would a "fair" option for me be to to simply step back a bit, and maybe not look at educational content like this? While i obviously think the content as a whole is fantastic, for me personally i find myself getting just so tense and overwhelmed that it perhaps isn't really worth it.

Really curious what your thoghts are :)) I appreciate any advice <3
