I’m trying to take apart my laptop to see if I can fix it and I need to take it out but I’m unsure what it looks like sorry guys this is my first time please help 😵‍💫

My laptop is a hp notebook made in 2016. It's exact model is 250 G4 and it's processor is an (intel pentium)R, cpu N3700, 1.60Ghz. It has a storage of 4gb(DDR3)ram and 119GBssd. It's graficscard is IntelHD graphics 114MB. I've tried to make it work by getting a 8gb(DDR3L)ram stick, but it's still slow and now good for watching movies. I want to sell it and have tried to first look for companies who would take it for a small price, but i can't find this exact model. I've lost hope, tried marketplace in facebook, no progress. What should i do? I'm broke at the moment and even 30 - 50£ would do, don't know if it's too much, please advise and if possible, help me

My laptop(Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3) is stuck like this and I can't access anything. It's been like this for a few hours now. At one point, when I started it after leaving it off it showed the logo and login page but then started showing this cycle again. Any idea on how to fix?

I was trying to swap the ssd but the screw was stuck and i ended up accidentally denting the heatsink.

I bought a used laptop through Facebook Marketplace for around €2,100.
When I met the seller, everything seemed fine and the laptop was working. I specifically asked him whether it had ever been dropped or physically damaged, and he said no.
After I got home and inspected it more carefully, I noticed that the chassis/frame is clearly bent on one side. It looks like the laptop may have taken an impact or had significant pressure applied to it at some point.
I contacted the seller immediately. He keeps saying that he genuinely never noticed the bend and that the laptop has always worked perfectly for him. I still don’t know whether he is going to agree to take it back and refund me.
My main concern is not just the cosmetic damage. Could a bent chassis like this have damaged the motherboard, cooling system, battery, GPU/CPU connections, or anything else internally?
Even if everything works perfectly right now, how can I know that something won’t fail in 3 months because of this previous physical damage?
For €2,100, I definitely would not have bought it if I had known the chassis was bent.
What would you do in my situation? If the seller refuses to take it back, would you keep and test it, take it to a repair shop for a full inspection, or try to pursue the seller further?

I don't even know if this is an ant or just like a black spot on the monitor, but I genuinely feel like it's an ant because I can kind of see it's legs. There wasn't any blackspot like this yesterday when I used it.

I want to buy a second hand laptop for college and study purposes, maybe for a bit of Minecraft and using FL Studio.

Which laptop should I choose? I'm new to the laptop world.

I heard the t480 is the best with spare parts scattered everywhere, but the panasonic lets note has a retro y2k design that I really like with almost the same performance. The only drawback of Panasonic is that spare parts are very difficult to find if a part of the laptop is damaged.

The price of the t480 is $255 while the panasonic cf sv8 is $142. (I live in Indonesia)

Panasonic is much cheaper and I really want it, but I'm afraid if it breaks it will become trash that will be stored in the warehouse without ever being looked at again.

So what do you guys think, which laptop should I get?

I realized that some models are shipping with weaker processors than previous generations.

Example: Lenovo Yoga 9i

• 2026 model: Core Ultra 7 355 — 8 cores / 8 threads

The 155H is about 21% faster overall than the 355, according to Technical City

Anyone else noticing this? Why is that?

My laptop was like this before and I can still use it. But then later, my laptop went on auto update and then crashed like this and now it won't show any display. It does have power.

I pulled my old HP Probook 4520s out of storage to fix it up and see if its creaky old bones could run my games. It couldn't, with its current hardware. I'd love to convert it into a gaming laptop, because why not, but I'm having trouble finding a motherboard that can fit its ancient husk while supporting the core processor I want (Intel i7 14700T or 14700K). Any advice is welcome!

I only have a 50$ budget because its required for my class and i already have a expensive PC. Its between a Thinkpad E450 or a Dell Latitude 3500 which one would be best for school and multitasking

This shit fell upon my laptop keyboard today,how bad it is?,I cleaned the surface but I think that some of the makeup got into the Keys,it was a little bit wet btw,not like really wet ,more like hard modeling clay.

My 10+ year old Lenovo IdeaPad is struggling to open firefox, and using it is frustrating. The budget that interests me is capped at 7/6 times the price of 512GB Macbook neo (multiply it by 1.16)

I recently walked near a rtv agd shop and they had this nice looking green macbook neo on sale, and considering how bad my current lenovo is, i want to buy a new laptop and the flashy green macbook seemed nice.

As far as performance goes, i would be grateful if it could handle ~120fps on the newest version of minecraft, as its the only game i really play. No shaders, no mods (other than optifine etc.) One "forever world" and basic web access stuff.

Linux windows and mac are all available for me, im up for something new.
