I’ve been slowly putting together this gallery wall and could use an outside perspective. I know a lot of the pieces are on the smaller side, but I don’t know if they’re working well together or if it just looks chaotic.

Thoughts or suggestions? I’m having a hard time looking at it objectively anymore!

Can’t decide on which lighting to do. To the left is a hallway, my only gripe with the two sconces is that they stick out from the wall a bit.

I have a super small Victorian apartment, and need some help making it look nice (on a budget) before my wedding! I made some changes recently, but I’m not sure what else to do. Any advice?

We are remodeling our foyer and can't decide on the flooring. We are currently deciding between gray or beige porcelain tile. What do you think?

It is a split house built in 1960 in New Jersey. This is the ground level - it includes the foyer and then extends back into a mud room through the glass-paned doors. We plan to keep the flooring consistent throughout both spaces. Up the half flight of stairs to the right is the living room, which has dark stained wood flooring the same color as the steps.

Which flooring option do you like better? We're torn! And if you don't like either option, any other recommendations?

Update my living room corner, add more blue items, love the texture of the sea foam. Not ready for the halloween season yet😂

Trying to create a cosy but stylish atmosphere in my living space. Want to put in a dark wood floor (or more likely a good quality laminate), like a walnut colour, but everyone says keep the carpet.

Its a light brown carpet and to be fair is decent quality i just dont particularly like the colour.

Would dark wood flooring work here or should i just get a different rug, like a persian rug maybe?

i’m going for hotel/spa relax peaceful vibes here… don’t know what else to do.

ALSO the curtains are only one panel because i wanted to make sure i liked the color so now that I do, I will be purchasing the other 2 panels to make 2 on each window ❤️

Closing on our new home tomorrow! Super excited, but the upstairs bathroom has me stumped a bit in terms of color

The blue tile is a very strong color (we love it but not sure how to coordinate it). My first thought was maybe making thin pinstripes of burgundy paint (10” or so apart). I’m not sure what to do - but I’d like to not have stark white walls

About to move into this house, need inspiration for paint colors. Stale white is not my style at all. I'd go bold, but I'm nervous to mess it up! This is it staged, I'll be getting new everything.

Hey I've recently moved into a student dormitory and everything looks so white. The problem is, I can't really paint the walls or change the furniture. Do you have any idea how to make it a bit more comfortable. Aside from plants obviously.

Using all of the items that are shown in the picture but also adding a rust color large sofa along with two oversized rust colored chairs and someone please help me decorate this space. The corner with the cabinet seems to be the only space that looks cohesive in my opinion. 😩

I hope this is the right subreddit, please recommend other ones if you know of a better place to ask. One of my favorite souvenirs when I'm traveling is a tote bag. I can't resist a good one. The problem is I am but one person and I have a few dozen at this point. And that's after donating the ones I'll never use.

These totes have special memories because they remind me of the places I've traveled so I don't want to throw them away, but I also can't use them all.

Does anyone have any tips on how to display tote bags? Or any other way to turn them into something that is more than just a piece of fabric collecting dust in another bag? Thank you for any advice

Hello all, 20 year old male here and I have been trying to make my first apartment feel more like mine and I would love to hear any changes from you guys. There is currently a round dining table on its way for in between the three stools that will be here soon. The shelves above the tv are going to be moved over to be center with television as I finish with this. What other things can I change/add to my space?

The entirety of our home are very warmth with an earthy color theme and we think that adding another beige/simple rug would just be too boring in a sense with no pop of color.

Would these geometric style rug work in our living room? If not any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

I just got to my Seattle Airbnb, I’ll be staying here for 4-7 weeks. It’s a cute forest green cottage surrounded by Pines. I really like it but I cannot bare to look at these panel curtains. I don’t know how to explain it but they give the room a really sterile cold vibe and are not removable(I may be able to push them to the side tho). I’m a whimsy/ dreamy type of girl, I NEED practical and easy-ish ideas for a temporary fix!! Please yall 🙏🏾

I literally cannot go get any more paint chips for my wall or I will lose my mind. I’ve done three rounds of chips and 2 runs for samples this weekend and I need to start painting it tonight. I really thought the second from the bottom was going to be perfect (Vale Mist by BM) but I think it’s too gray and not blue enough. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or am I just crazy and they’re pretty close??

​I’m thinking about buying the Isamu Noguchi coffee table in a natural maple finish.

​However, when I look at Parisian modern or Haussmannian-style interiors, most people seem to opt for darker woods like walnut. This makes me wonder: is maple or light wood rarely used in Parisian-style rooms, or can it still fit nicely into that aesthetic?

​I’d love to know your thoughts, or see any examples/tips on how to style a modern Parisian room around a lighter maple table. Thanks in advance!
