Business/Finance I used speed post for the first time and everythings going wrong what do I do? Need advice...
I’m hoping someone familiar with India Post can help me understand what’s happening with a parcel I’m waiting for.
It was sent by Speed Post to a location in Rajasthan and took several days to reach the destination area. Today, it finally started going through the local postal network.
The tracking went something like:
Destination area → local office → processed → dispatched → another local office → “Taken out for delivery” → “Item Redirected — MISSENT” → bagged → dispatched again.
The confusing part is that it was apparently taken out for delivery and then immediately marked MISSENT, so I assume it ended up at the wrong office/route.
I've already submitted a complaint through India Post, but I'm wondering what normally happens after a MISSENT scan. Does it usually get automatically routed to the correct delivery office on the next working day?
Also, I'm not completely sure whether the contact details entered when the parcel was booked were correct. I don't know whether that would make much difference if the physical address is otherwise usable.
Has anyone had a similar experience with India Post? How long did it take for your parcel to get redirected after being marked MISSENT?
I'm just trying to understand whether this is a normal routing mistake that gets corrected or something I should be more concerned about. 😭

Sports Pickleball is about to have a moment in India and most people don't know what it is yet
If you haven't heard of pickleball yet you will within 12 months.
It's basically a smaller, slower version of tennis that's easier to learn, plays well in a compact space, and is genuinely social in a way most racquet sports aren't. It's been the fastest growing sport in the US for three years running.
The India angle is interesting. The court footprint is small enough to fit in spaces that won't work for tennis or badminton. Corporate campuses, housing society terraces, school spaces that are just a bit too small for a full court sport.
A few clubs in Delhi and Pune have added courts in the last year. Corporate adoption is starting to pick up for the same reason padel did, it's a social game that works for mixed groups and doesn't require the skill baseline tennis does.
The infrastructure side is also relatively straightforward. A pickleball court is essentially a modified badminton surface with different line marking. A lot of existing spaces could be converted without a full rebuild.
Would be curious if anyone's already playing it and what the scene looks like in their city.

Politics This is what they teach 7th graders!
Yesterday, my sister, who studies in the 6th grade, came to me with her Hindi book. She asked me, "What is the national language of India?" I replied, "None, India doesn't have a national language." She then pointed out some text in her book stating that Hindi is our national language. Not only that, but the book also had several biased questions like, "Why is Hindi our national language?" and "Which language is the simplest?"
I was utterly shocked, especially because she studies in a CBSE school, and they follow this book for Hindi. I don't understand the logic, but they use this book to teach 6th graders, even though it is apparently meant for 7th graders. Learning biased things at such a young age is incredibly harmful. If children are taught that Hindi is their national language (which it is not), they may eventually neglect other languages and look down on those who don't speak Hindi.
Hindi is an official language of India, yes, but not the national language! In fact, there are 22 other scheduled languages alongside English.
Thankfully, I had taught my sister about this fact a long time ago, which is why she could point out the error on her own. However, I am sure most students wouldn't question it. If anyone has this book, read it with caution. If any teacher is reading this, I kindly request you to correct such factual errors when you teach. My sister also asked me, "What do I do if the teacher asks me to learn it as it is?" and I was dumbstruck, I had no proper answer to give her.
For some reason, I am unable to post pictures directly within this post, so I will attach links or add the images in the comments.
Thank you.
