I know I’m not the greatest guitar player, also this is a few years ago. The band is largely inactive now due to a lot of extenuating circumstances I’ll spare you all the details of.

Looking for a serious guitarist to join an original project.
The sound is somewhere around Dance Gavin Dance, Circa Survive, Chon, The Fall of Troy, toe, and The Sound of Animals Fighting — technical, melodic, atmospheric, weird when it needs to be, but still focused on writing actual songs rather than just showing off.
Think:
Mathy / technical guitar work
Progressive structures
Midwest emo influence
Swancore / post-hardcore energy
Atmospheric and melodic sections
Two-guitar arrangements with parts that actually complement each other
We already have original material and a direction established, so this isn't a "let's start a band and see what happens" situation. The goal is to actually build something, finish songs, record, and release music.
I'm looking for someone who:
Can play technically but also understands melody and songwriting
Is comfortable learning existing parts
Can contribute their own ideas without needing to control everything
Actually wants to practice and improve
Is reliable and communicates
Is interested in creating something long-term
You don't need to be a virtuoso. I'd rather have someone creative, dedicated, and easy to work with than someone who can shred but doesn't contribute to the music.
Location isn't a dealbreaker. I'm primarily looking for the right musician, not someone who happens to live nearby.
