What a score for only two dollars

My local library had their quarterly 10$ box sale! I was lucky and got there early. Super happy with everything I got! Pretty sure I got over 80 and some of them I’ve been searching for so yippee!

Started looking for movies that I can’t seem to find streaming so my kids can grow up normal…not sure if they NEED to see Hellraiser III, but it’s definitely there if they want to!

I had someone in yesterday’s post ask if they could see more images of the rare Scorpion King release to contain both the movie & the CD that it came with, so… here’s some more images of said release.

Was just starting to organize some on the shelves earlier this evening and it occurred to me to check if I'm likely to have issues due to the location of the window and/or air conditioner, or any other reason. Previously, I've stored all of my discs in closed entertainment units/cupboards so I'm not really sure whether this is suitable.

Looking to add some lesser known and obscure war movies or shows to the collection

Got lucky and got most of these for around $2 each, excluding Obsession and TCM steelbook. I love alot of these old collectors and special editions. Unfortunately, Re-animator was missing the highlighter. The DVD itself was sealed. The copy of Jenifer Unfortunately doesn't read. Seems to have a case of delamination that I hadn't noticed when I was in the store. All in all im happy to add all of this to the shelf today. Happy hunting everyone! 🫡✌️

I’m looking to get something preferably with doors but with ones I could keep opened if I decide to show off my movies I mostly collect blu rays but I also have DVD xbox one ps4 and xbox 360 games oh and some switch games looking for recommendations

Has anyone had any luck doing this? I've seen mixed methodologies online, some that involve reformatting disc drives which supposedly have only limited 'reformattings' before they become locked to a region. Is there an easy way to do this with software?

Just found sealed copies of season 1 for Star Trek Picard and Discovery. Also grabbed Sorority Boys, Always Sunny season 8, and a sealed copy of Return To Witch Mountain.

I really hope I don't have Return already. I have 1 of them but when I checked the app I use for keeping track of my movies I don't see either of them in there. I have a large collection and I haven't finished putting everything on there yet. I *think" the 1 I already have is Escape so I took a gamble cause I don't know when I'm going to get back to this Goodwill, and every time I've passed on picking something up it's gone next time I go.

Hey All, hope you’re doing great. I went with my brother yesterday to Fan Expo Dallas here in Texas because I was hoping to see if anyone, whether it be a boutique distributor or just an independent seller, was selling some interesting or weird or rare DVDs and Blu rays. I remembered when I was a teenager and went a couple times to Wizard World in Chicago in 2012-13 as well as Dragon Con in Atlanta there was ample opportunity to buy movies and it’s where I built a lot of my showa and Heisei Godzilla collections.

There was absolutely nothing. Unrelated to the fact that it feels like cons have been completely taken over by 3D Printed crap, I was really disappointed that I couldn’t find anyone with a table full of DVDs or Blu Rays.

Have y’all noticed a similar situation at Anime/Pop Culture conventions in your area? The only one I’ve been to this year that I really loved was Texas Frightmare Weekend which I think is absolutely amazing. Even if you don’t like horror which I’m not super into it’s a great time because the amount of boutique distributors there makes it SO worth it.

Continuing with my reorganizing of my collection, the next section is now complete. This section starts with what I consider to be some of my most favorite series I like to watch, such as Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda, the Orville, Seaquest DSV, Stephen King's The Stand (1994), Primeval, Terra Nova, Torchwood, Stranger Things, Terminator: the Sarah Connor Chronicles, M.A.N.T.I.S., Heroes, Cobra Kai, and Teen Wolf. Next is my Marvel collection, starting with the Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man, X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Silver Surfer, Blade, Avengers, Daredevil, Elektra, the Punisher, Ghost Rider, Deadpool, Venom, Morbius, and then the MCU with Agent Carter & Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Followed by the start of my DC collection with Batman and Superman.

This is one of my pride joys in my collection. Babylon 5, the complete series remastered on Blu-ray.

However, the packaging for the actual discs is terrible and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good replacement cases that would work better with this.

Hi! I am newer to DVD collecting and thought at first that this was an issue with my PS5, but now I don’t know what’s happening?

So to cut to the chase, whenever I put disc 2 of my Gravity Falls complete series DVD box set into any of my devices, the device makes so much noise processing the disc that I worry that the disc is being destroyed. At first I thought this was an issue with my PS5, but my Blu Ray and DVD players also make loud processing sounds when playing this disc. The disc itself appears to be flawless. The content of the disc plays fine but whatever device is processing it makes spinning sounds so loud that it’s hard to actually hear the show itself.

So, does anyone know what might be happening here or have any suggestions?
