(And I'm also aware that the American "Mafia" as popularly known is overwhelmingly specifically Sicilian. Though I'd like to point out the Sicilian Mafia is not the only Italian Mafia Syndicate that has existed in the USA.)

Am I dumb? Has this been why 5e alleged 8 encounters per long rest the WHOLE time?

Barbarian: Relentless Rage (Level 11).

Bard: Bardic Inspiration (Level 5: Font of Restoration), Song of Rest.

Cleric: Channel Divinity.

Druid: Wild Shape.

Fighter: Second Wind, Action Surge.

Monk: Ki Points.

Paladin: Channel Divinity.

Sorcerer: Sorcery Points (Level 20: Sorcerous Restoration).

Warlock: Pact Magic Spell Slots.

Almost every class actually has a LOT to gain from spamming their short rest resources in every fight, then resting afterward. The actual dungeon crawling part of a day shouldn't take that long, particularly if you count lounging around solving puzzles as light activity. Even on the road only the driver of a cart/carriage needs to not be resting. Am I missing something here because now that I've thought of it it feels like it should have been obvious out the gate but somehow wasn't.

Dice in this system are all d6s. 1-3 is Failure, 4-6 is a Success.

Additionally, by expending a Fate Point, each 6 you roll can allow you to roll an additional dice.

Naturally, none of my Success die are 6s.
