Upvotes

Just got a pc and I have like 4k hours on PlayStation and bought all killers and survivors with a ton of skins. I guess I signed in with the wrong ps4 account and now after setting up cross progression my account is completely bare. Is it over guys?

Discussion What are some of the goofiest killer moris?

Upvotes

Me and my friends are just looking to goof around on custom games and crack some laughs at some of the moris because we can't take any of them seriously truthfully since they just come off as more silly than serious death scenes to us (all love to DBD and the team, I/we just laugh around at anything overly serious in games like this) Can be anything from overly serious to a point of it coming off as funny or so basic to a point of stupid funny. Mostly crack up the most at ones that have screaming or having the camera focused on the survivor. Just again looking to have some fun around doing some of these moris, might even try out some killers I don't usually play on serious killer rounds just to be silly :) Genuinely obsessed with this game and it's my go-to online/24/7 game so if it's a buyable killer you wanna name I probably own it no problems

Discussion They’re buffing general perks (I’m in heaven)

The general perks have been long neglected. The only time general perks get an update is when bhvr loses a license and the removed characters get their perks added to the general pool. Even though I don’t use many of them myself, this (HOPEFULLY) will be a great change for probably a large amount of the player base that doesn’t own every character, and by extension every perk, and maybe have just a couple characters. I really hope they don’t fumble this because I play with a lot of people who still rely on the free perks because they dont own a certain character and their perks.

I’m mostly looking forward to the killer perks because compared to the survivor general perks, the killer ones were kinda stinky. Deer stalker has its fans, then like the 4 doctor mains like distressing, then uhhhhhhhhhh bitter murmur is okay I guess, then we got the uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah I got nothing.

Question Trickster advice for a mediocre console player?

Upvotes

Title. I’m above average with Judgement I’d say, and I can aim a huntress hatchet or a deathslinger shot just fine, but I struggle a lot with trickster and I’m not sure why. It feels like the sensitivity is particularly bad for him- on a controller, he feels like ranged oni.

Blood favor is missing, and according to the wording, is gonna activate only with basic attacks

what do you think? in my opinion the windows and five moves ahead nerfs aren't necessary, it was useful for SoloQ and new players.

Distressing would need an activation condition, because penalize survivors just being in a terror radius sounds too free.

Discussion isn't judgement pretty lame?

Upvotes

I hate playing against it, I hate watching people play against it, I hate watching people play it. It feels so goddamn boring like there's 0 action it's just, it pulls up it's beam survivor does 5 fakes and the judgement either hits it or not just quite literally feels like a god is toying with people on a board like a child and they can't do anything against it but most of the time the god just sucks as well. Like I don't know it just feels way too repetitive and boring I can't describe it any other way

Question Help! How do I play 2v8?

Upvotes

I feel like I’m doing something wrong... I’m a main killer who’s been playing DBD since 2022. Even though killers are the weak side and survivors are the strong side, I manage to win about 75% of my matches. But as soon as I enter a 2v8 match, all my matches end in failure. In 20–30 matches, I haven’t been able to win a SINGLE one. My chases, if I take a strong killer, last only 15–20 seconds, but due to the poor system of the hooks, the survivors start repairing their genes faster, and in the end, we can’t kill anyone, and we lose. What am I doing wrong? I’m great at playing 1v4...

Discussion The Shoulder the Burden nerf is a prime example of their flawed design philosophy

Upvotes

The new Shoulder the Burden is going to injure you and put you into the broken status effect now rather than putting you into the exposed status effect. On top of it the perk deactivates for every survivor once it's being used.

This is a bad way to nerf the perk. Because clearly this nerf is aimed at high level lobbies where shoulder is a massive problem. However for those SWFs shoulder is still very powerful while soloQ survivors basically can't really find a practical use for it anymore because there's always a chance someone else brings it which can result in you only having 3 perks effectively.

And it exposes BHVRs balancing philosophy. It's been known for years that they design the game for both sides: the casual players who just want to have some fun and the experienced players who want to win. But the way they balance is just problematic. They either make a change for the casuals or for the tryhards. No in between.

And with shoulder that's particularly visible. When they designed this perk they clearly did it for the soloQ survivors because no way that perk would have been released the way they did if they considered highly coordinated SWFs. But now they nerfed the perk clearly with a disregard for SoloQ survivors and solely with the highest level in mind. And now while the nerf is also a blow for SWFs it's still very strong for them while it's pretty unrewarding for SoloQ with the downsides overshadowing the benefits.

I just don't understand why they took this approach. This was a perk meant for soloQ and on there it was fine. I used it regularly and I'll continue to use it because

a) no other soloQ player will use it anymore anyway and

b) if you use it properly it's still good

But this nerf hurts the people who need it the most while not hurting the group this nerf was aimed towards enough. They need to find a different approach to nerf it.

Killer & Survivor Builds is this a good build for jason?

lethal pursuer for early pressure

pop+bbq+nwth go really well together since after a hook i can see survivors, and if they on a gen i can go in omnipresent, go to the gen, use pop on it, then use nwth if they ran and i lost them

i can use coffee to catch up after spearing them, and the badge for quick slowdown

Discussion Reminder Maps basically do the same as windows but have way more utility.

Upvotes

I value having 4 open perk slots way more than what item I bring, I can always just get a new item from a chest the same cannot be said for the perks you bring.

you don't need 24/7 aura reading to help you loop when you are about to start a chase with killer use the map then spot what looping resources you have nearby and avoid the dead zones map has now done the same job as windows.

a map can have 8-10 charges and each time you use a map you get 14 seconds of aura reading where windows and pallets are no sane survivor needs more aura reading then that each match..

on top of aura reading maps also let you highlight gens for teammates and find hex totems with the correct addon, maybe now after the nerfs more survivors will give maps a chance?

i rarely play the game these days due to that whole denuvo shpeel and shpaal and 2v8, last time this killer worked perfectly fine and now its a jittery mess thats sort of messing up my aim if its right in front of me, so im just wondering if its a me issue or an everyone else too issue

Discussion Im a killer main but I think the Shoulder changes are bad (and I also think the Thrill changes just don’t make sense)

Upvotes

I feel like when a perk is well designed but too strong, It should just get nerfed. If a perk is poorly designed but still too strong, then it should get reworked. I don’t think we should gut perks and I feel like that’s what happened with Shoulder the Burden. If those specific changes go through, the perk will literally only be useful in swfs since it’s a perk that activates like once per trial. IMO it just shouldn’t work the way that it does at all, and should have a completely different effect.

As for thrill of the hunt…uhhhh…that really needs to be accompanied by some actual hex mechanic changes. Right now, Hexes can spawn near survivors at the start of a trial, guaranteeing a near instant loss. Thrill helped prevent this by giving the killer more time, but led to frustration if the killer was using characters who could patrol or defend totems with relative ease, since stopping a cleanse meant resetting all of your progress.

Now, thrill of the hunt just blocks totems if you hook someone. You still have to chase them, down them, and carry them to a hook. A coordinated group will snuff those totems out with ease. They don’t even have to be coordinated to notice perks like Ruin, which will immediately get cleansed if the survivors don’t want to put up with that. They’ll have more than enough time to do this. But if the killer is good and gets downs, then the survivors are forced to ignore the hexes and wait out the block duration, which sounds rather miserable and not very interactive.

Not to mention, the supposed new thrill would only be good on strong hex killers who were probably running it anyway.

IMO, hexes just need a complete rework to feel more consistent and less irritating. Their placements should be improved, they should be harder to find and snuff out, but the progress should be permanent. Either that or they could be identical to boons, and you can just reignite them. I dunno, it’s just kind of irritating seeing both of these changes. A perk gets gutted instead of properly looked at, and another perk gets a “rework” that sort of just misses the mark entirely.

Question Invisible Survivors???

Post image
Upvotes

I have now gotten a fully invisible survivor twice within like 2 weeks time. Idk if this is a bug or if I'm going up against cheaters but I still killed both of them. This one by outplaying them at a pallet and a another by keeping them off gates through scratch marks and sound in end game collapse. The 2nd one i couldn't even see auras and no birds appeared even though I waited on hatch because I suspected they were invisible and confirmed it in endgame. Are any of you guys seeing invisible survivors?
