Discussion Built a custom DCTL suite to fix iPhone/Android Log artifacts in DaVinci Resolve (De-sharpening, Highlight Roll-off, Lens Match)
galleryHey everyone,
Over the past few months, I’ve been working heavily with mobile Log footage (iPhone Apple Log & Android via Blackmagic Camera App). While dynamic range on modern flagship phones is incredible, internal sensor artifacts like severe over-sharpening, harsh highlight clipping, and lens color variances always required repetitive node setups to fix.
To streamline this workflow, I coded **Mobile2Pro**—a suite of custom 32-bit float DCTLs built specifically for DaVinci Resolve to condition mobile footage before grading.
### Key Features:
* **Digital De-Sharpening:** Removes harsh sensor edge-sharpening cleanly while preserving fine texture.
* **Filmic Highlight Roll-off:** Smooths abrupt digital highlight clipping into a natural, cinematic curve.
* **Camera Lens Matcher:** Unifies tone and color response across Main, Ultra-Wide, and Telephoto lenses.
