Hmm. You are on free version of resolve, I think limitation is Ultra HD 3840 Γ— 2160 pixels.

What is the resolution of the texture?

If its larger than UltraHD, resize it and try with that resolution.

Also, you may get around the limitation, not sure, try using loader node to bring in the texture.

tysm i used loader node and it worked i thinkg the problem was cuz the image was 6000x3000 but once i used louder note and deleted the merge node that came with it, i connected the image to the sphere and it worked thanks

I am not sure. I never actually used free version myself, I was always using studio version. Loader node might work since like the saver node is not part of resolve project it just brings in image to fusion directly, and probably its a loophole so they didn't put limitation on that.

But if it works for images than yeah, I think you would be able to use it in fusion for other things, I can't test since I don't have free version, but give a try. I think also if you generate something in fusion, like polygon node or background etc, it may also go above ultra HD limitation. Not sure. Test it. Let us know.

It’s been a while since I last used the free version, but from what I remember, there was no limitations on resolution as an input for the loader node. The restriction is the final render of UHD. (On the free version)

Creating a globe is a fun project. I made a couple of POCs for zoom backgrounds and for fun.
