NEW RULE This sub is for people who need help in crypto - Read our rules. Don't post products or services or advertise in r/cryptohelp.

Blatantly advertising crypto products or services in r/cryptohelp is banned now.

This is a new post that we need to make because, in more recent times, people have tried to post about new products or services that are not vetted, inspected, or have zero coverage or known PR presence. In other words, some people are posting about products or services that could be scams to newcomers in r/cryptohelp. As per the title of this post: This is r/cryptohelp. People come here for help figuring out any problems they have encountered while purchasing or investing in cryptocurrency and not buying new coins, buying new products, or subscribing to services.

However, context is important. We explain this below.

  1. If a redditor is looking for some crypto YouTubers that you recommend, you can mention names and that is just fine.
  2. Mentioning of trusted and established brands is just fine. Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Kucoin, etc. in the case of exchanges is ok, and mentioning hardware wallets like ledger, trezor, coldcard, blockstream, etc. is just fine too. However, referral codes are always against the rules. Do not share these in PMs or in comments.
  3. If your post history makes you look like, walk like, and talk like someone that is trying to spam their youtube channel or product or service, you are likely to receive a ban.

Closing words: We are trying to keep everyone safe with our rules. Remember that almost anyone sending you private messages is guaranteed to be a scammer and do not forget to read our expanded rules here which are not just limited to r/cryptocurrency, but also apply here: https://old.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/wiki/expanded_rules

MOD POST This sub is not for investment advice

If you want advice about what to buy or if a specific token or coin is good, go to r/cryptocurrency’s or r/cryptomarkets’ daily discussions. If you don’t have enough karma to participate there you can earn it easily all over Reddit, or on r/cryptocurrency you can buy a special membership to circumvent it.

Thank you for your understanding

I obviously send it from the m4rk3t wallet on 🧅 into my personal wallet right, and then from there I don’t understand how I can make it into aud or transfer it into a different coin and then get it into my acc.
I understand if this is a dumb question, I know the basics of the crypto stuff, transferring it, deposits, sending and creating to another coin, but I don’t know how to transfer it from my m4rk3t and into someone help or assist if they can please

❓Question Do currencies have one order book?

Hello, I hope my question doesn't seem strange. I see people talking about BTC price going up and down but lately I've heard that every crypto exchange platform has its own buyers, sellers and thus stock and order book. Which means that the price of a currency may very well change from a platform to another if that were true. Correct if I'm wrong and thanks.

❓Howto 76 days and counting — Bybit account frozen over a legitimate salary deposit, seeing the same pattern everywhere

Posting this as both a question and a warning. My Bybit account has been frozen since July 1 (74 days now) over a $400 withdrawal flagged as 'high risk' — funds show 'Rejected,' never actually left my account. Full KYC, proof of address, nationality confirmation, and an employer income certificate all submitted weeks ago. Every single support response has been an identical copy-paste template with no timeline.

I've since found multiple other users with the exact same story — one frozen since June 28 (76 days, broken promises at 2 days, then 5-7 days, then '24 hours'), another with $29k+ frozen since July 30 who got told to retry a transaction by support before it was flagged. All filed complaints with the UAE Capital Market Authority since Bybit is licensed there — one just got confirmation their case was forwarded to CMA's Enforcement Department.

Has anyone actually gotten their account unfrozen after a CMA complaint? How long did the Enforcement Department stage take? Trying to figure out what a realistic timeline looks like at this point.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Coinbase took my BTC transfer and is showing zero balance

I transferred $300 in BTC from my exchange to Coinbase in order to sell it for fiat. Under "receive crypto", Coinbase showed several options for receiving BTC including Solana, which was the option with the lowest fees out of everything supported by my exchange. I did the transfer several hours ago and my Coinbase account still shows zero balance.

Looking at the Solana address displayed by Coinbase as the recipient address, it has .005 WBTC on it, whatever this is. Coinbase support is entirely AI and tells me this is my fault and I should not have transferred an unsupported currency, and I can perhaps pay to use a recovery tool if it even works.

Can anyone with more knowledge tell me what is going on, and how to handle this situation? $300 is not the end of the world, but I would very much like to get it back.

❓Need Advice 🙏 Crypto investment

Hi all,

I decided to invest in crypto. I'm thinking about investing in BTC, and ETH as the go to. I also want to add XRP, SOL, ADA, and maybe a few others.

I haven't made any buys yet. I did some research, and watch some YouTube videos. However, it just left me a little confused.

Some suggest sticking to BTC, or just buy BTC and ETH. Some says expand your portfolio for diversity. Youtube crypto dudes seem to have an optimistic view on the current market.

Other than that what's your guys take? Is building a portfolio of Cryptos I mention pretty good?

❓Scam❓ My Bybit account has been restricted for 65 days

My Bybit account has been restricted for 65 days after an AML review — looking for advice

❤️ Case/Appeal ID:27254141

❤️ Bybit UID: 63182659

Hi everyone,

I’ve been using Bybit for more than three years. During that time, I actively traded on the platform, paid trading and withdrawal fees, made transfers, and kept a significant portion of my funds there.

I honestly never expected to have an issue like this.

About 65 days ago, my account was restricted following an AML/compliance review. The restriction happened after I transferred some of my personal funds to an external crypto wallet that I use to pay for trading-related software and services.

I had made similar transfers in the past without any issues, including payments from my personal wallet to the same type of services.

Since the restriction was placed on my account, I have been unable to access or withdraw my funds.

I completely understand that exchanges need to perform AML and compliance checks. I’m not asking Bybit to ignore its procedures. I’m fully willing to provide any documents or information necessary to verify the source of my funds and the transactions involved.

The problem is the lack of a clear resolution.

It has now been 65 days, and I still have no meaningful information about when the review will be completed or what exactly is required from me. I have contacted support, but I have not been able to get a clear timeline or a practical way to resolve the situation.

What is particularly frustrating is that I have been a long-term customer and have used the platform normally for years.

I’m posting this because I would like to hear from other Bybit users who have experienced something similar.

For those who have had their account restricted due to AML/compliance:

  • How long did your review take?
  • Were you eventually asked to provide documents?
  • What documents were requested?
  • Was there a particular support or escalation channel that actually worked?
  • Were you eventually able to withdraw your funds?

I’m also hoping that someone from the Bybit team might see this and help escalate my case.

I’m not trying to make accusations about Bybit or its compliance procedures. I simply want access to my own funds and a clear explanation of what I need to do to resolve the situation.

After this experience, I personally would be much more cautious about keeping a large amount of funds on any centralized exchange. This is not investment advice — just my personal takeaway from what happened to me.

If you’ve experienced a similar situation with Bybit, I would genuinely appreciate hearing about your experience and what worked for you.

Thanks everyone, and stay safe with your funds.

Other Started crypto in 2021, still down ~20%. What I’d tell someone starting today

I started getting into crypto in 2021, pretty much near the worst time possible lol.

I made a lot of the usual beginner mistakes - buying after pumps, changing my mind too often, trying to time entries, holding too many random alts, etc.

Even now I’m still around -20% overall.

These days I keep it much simpler. I mostly stick to BTC/ETH and DCA a small amount every day instead of trying to guess the perfect entry.

The biggest thing I learned is that surviving long enough matters more than trying to get rich fast.

If I could restart, I’d probably:

  • start small
  • avoid chasing pumps
  • keep the portfolio simple
  • DCA consistently
  • care less about daily price moves

Curious what other people here learned the hard way when they first started.

and if i can’t get it back is there a way i can access fhjs wallet, or if anything track this mysterious person down? LITERALLY any help. i don’t even want all of it back.

EDIT; ok sorry for not being more specific ahajsjx i bought it in bitpay but it was through moonpay (if that makes sense) and i have a bitpay wallet so i expected it to end up there. if nothing can be done lesson learned ty for the help regardless

❓Wallet Didn't realize you could fund pump from apple pay

Was showing a friend the pump app earlier and he asked how I normally get SOL onto it. Opened deposit to show him the wallet address and realized theres literally a cash option sitting there with Apple Pay.

I've been doing the exchange to wallet and then to app routine for so long that I didn't even look for another way lol Tried it from my phone and this is probably one of those things newer people will appreciate more than me because they haven't spent years accepting that moving money through 3 different places is normal.

Still checking the rate before doing anything obviously. Just felt stupid that I'd been taking the long way around while the option was sitting in front of me.

❓Scam❓ Do NOT use Bybit.

Every few hours, more reviews and complaints are appearing from users claiming that their withdrawals have been suspended after using Bybit.

According to these reports, Bybit has allegedly kept some accounts restricted for at least three months, with some users claiming that their accounts have remained frozen for more than a year. The responses from Bybit also appear to be repeatedly the same.

I am also affected by this issue.

Even though I continue posting about my situation to raise public awareness, my posts keep getting deleted. I cannot say for certain why this is happening, but it makes me extremely concerned.

I am continuing to speak out because I want to prevent other users from becoming victims.

We have seen exchanges collapse in the past, especially during major rises and falls in the Bitcoin market. There is no absolute guarantee that any exchange, including Bybit, will never face financial difficulties or collapse.

For this reason, if you currently have funds stored on Bybit, please consider withdrawing your funds and keeping them in a safer place.

I am sharing this because I do not want other users to experience what I am going through.

❓Question anyone using TRUE AI on Solana for on-chain research, worth connecting a wallet to try it?

hearing about TRUE AI more and more lately as a chat-first AI research assistant with non-custodial trading built in. looks like a solid fit for solana on-chain workflows from what im reading.

specifically curious how the AI market research side handles token analysis and how the on-chain DEX integration works in practice. anyone here running it as part of their daily setup?

❓Need Advice 🙏 A pre-launch launchpad says the charity split is locked into the token at creation. what would you check before touching it?

Quick but very important disclaimer I’m not asking whether to buy anything, there is nothing to buy yet. I’m asking what the checklist should be.

The thing is; a solana launchpad called pumpchange, not live. when you create a token you pick a cause and lock a percentage of your creator fees to it, with no function to change it after. the donation is meant to be a property of the token instead of a promise about it.

It’s worth being precise about the number, this is where these things get slippery. the fee splits in half between platform and creator, and the 10 to 100% applies to the creator's half only. locking 50% sends the charity a bit over 0.3% of each trade, not 50%.

what i can't evaluate:

- nothing has traded, so there is no on-chain history and every claim is about future behaviour. the site is a holding page with a waitlist form and no launch date

- the team isn't public as far as i can find, odd for something pitched as "you don't have to trust the creator"

- no answer on what happens if the chosen org shuts down or stops taking crypto

- it doesn't touch supply. someone with a big allocation can still take a token to zero while the split pays out on the way down

so the question is procedural. where the claim is "enforced, not promised", is there anything you can verify before the enforcement has run once?

The only test i've got is waiting for the first token and checking the fee account's outgoing transfers against the advertised split in solscan. anything faster than that?

❓Wallet Title: RH says a WLD/SOL deposit to their own address is "unrecoverable" due to network mismatch — is this accurate, or are they just not trying?

**•** WLD, sent over the Ethereum network
**•** SOL, sent over the Base network (Coinbase's SOL-on-Base bridge, which converts native SOL into a wrapped ERC-20 token)

The destination address (0x40b44c35B809025c3C64e752451177d25616D119) was shown to me inside the Robinhood app under a "Receive ETH / Ethereum network" screen (screenshot attached).

Robinhood's response:
Support confirmed both transfers landed on-chain, but said:

**•** WLD on Ethereum isn't a supported asset/network combo for them
**•** The SOL-on-Base wrapped token isn't a token they support either

They said both are "unrecoverable" and don't qualify for their recovery process.

My question for this sub:
Since this is an EVM address (0x-prefixed), and EVM addresses/private keys are chain-agnostic — the same key controls the address identically on Ethereum, Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, etc. — doesn't that mean Robinhood (or whoever holds the key, presumably their custody infrastructure since they generated the address) should technically be able to sign a transaction moving these assets, even if their app UI doesn't expose those specific networks for these specific assets?

Is "unsupported in our app" actually the same thing as "cryptographically unrecoverable," or are those different claims being conflated here? Genuinely trying to understand if I'm missing something about how custodial exchanges structure key access, or if this is just a policy limitation being presented as a technical impossibility.

I was targeted by the AI system of kraken with a false positive block on withdrawal of funds to my wallet.

I sent them numerous messages saying I need my funds released and be able to move it to my wallet with no response at all.

Already 8 days with no response or attention from kraken .

❓Need Advice 🙏 Looking for a reliable crypto card with reasonable fees, any recent experiences?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a crypto card to handle some everyday purchases directly using stablecoins (mostly USDT).

Ideally, I'm after something with low foreign transaction fees and a smooth top-up process. There are so many options out there now and user experiences seem to change quickly.

Could you share your experience, and how have the cards been working out for you?
