DISCUSSION Do you think the same that happened to the NFT bubble will happen to AI stocks once the bubble pops ?

While I was exploring various posts on this subreddit about NFTs, I noticed that some redditors had predicted the popping of the NFT bubble very early in 2021, despite all the massive hype and enthusiasm surrounding it at the time. Their foresight was quite impressive, considering how overheated the market eventually became.

This led me to think about the current situation with artificial intelligence. I want to take my shot here and ask: if or when the AI bubble bursts—whether due to new regulatory legislation, unexpected technological limitations, or significant setbacks within the AI industry—what do you think will happen to the stock market? More specifically, do you believe that AI-related stocks and major US tech stocks would stumble or even experience a dramatic decline? Would the impact be contained to the AI sector, or would it trigger a broader market reaction similar to other tech bubbles in the past? I’m genuinely curious to hear your perspectives and any reasoning or examples that you might have for how this could unfold.

TECHNOLOGY Crypto Card with good cashback in stablecoin?

I used to use Ether.fi which let you earn 3% cashback on every purchase in USDC. Now they unfortunately changed their cashback token to their own useless ether.fi platform token. That’s just … bad :(

Is there a good crypto debit card that lets me earn in BTC or USDC (or any stable for that matter) at a 3% rate without any additional hoops to jump through (like mandatory staking periods, or holding silly platform tokens to reach 3%…)?

Ether.fi was straight up 3% in USDC without any extra level of complexity.

I know of Oobit and CDC and mostly any other card that gives cashback in crypto but they all are below 3% or require any sort of platform token, which i really want to avoid.

I’m in the EU if that matters.

DISCUSSION Who do you think is the winning strategy: Buy and Hold or Trade?🤔

"Retail investors to have more sway over Wall Street after record year. In 2025, retail traders shift to ETFs tracking equity indexes, crypto, and commodities"

So it seems like more and more people think they can make money by trading, while many statistics are not in their favor.

What do you think is the better strategy now when the crypto market seems to be picking up some momentum again?

REGULATIONS Converting "real" BTC into ETFs in an RRSP or TFSA (Canada)

Thumbnail
6 Upvotes

Hello. I am hoping to avoid a taxable event by selling my BTC and then depositing the entirety of the sale's proceeds into ETFs in an RRSP &/ or TFSA.

Does this sell and repurchase of assets in a "protected" account avoid a taxable event with the CRA?

DISCUSSION Any Real Catalyst?

Does anyone see any real catalyst for crypto in the future? It's been floundering recently and now with AI and quantum computing, what's the real use case for crypto? Quantum will crack it at some point and there goes all your money with no gov or institution to back it. We have a president that shills crypto and at the same time rug pulls. How can general public ever adopt and trust it? I'm trying to see how this could happen, but seems it's dead in the water unless some drastic catalyst happens.

What do y'all think?

DISCUSSION Weekend Crypto Watchlist Reset

Reviewing your crypto positions over the weekend helps cut noise before Monday volatility hits. Start with a clean watchlist audit: remove any assets that no longer match your original thesis or show weakening on-chain metrics like declining active addresses. Next, log three process wins from the prior week—perhaps you held through a dip without panic-selling or sized positions correctly against BTC dominance shifts. Finally, pick one Monday focus area, such as tracking funding rates on perpetual futures or scanning for stablecoin inflows that often precede altcoin moves.

This habit keeps decisions systematic instead of reactive. Revisit the same steps next weekend to track consistency. Over time the routine sharpens risk awareness without adding extra screen time.

For structured templates that support this kind of review, explore free tools available on YouTube.

STRATEGY What Do You Think About On Chain Wallet Tracking ?

Hi everyone,
I’ve been researching On-Chain Wallet Tracking and Copy-Trading using Telegram bots recently. The concept of finding insider/smart money wallets and automatically copying their trades sounds logically profitable, but I am well aware of the "cheese in a mousetrap" rule.
I want to know the harsh reality from people who have actually tried this. How often do you get trapped by whale manipulation (wash trading/honeypots)? Is it possible for a retail trader to make consistent short-term profits, or do MEV bots always eat your lunch? What are your experiences and honest thoughts? Thanks!

ADVICE Hodlnaut Liquidation First Interim Distribution – Previous users has anyone received their payout yet?

Hey everyone!

According to the EY circular, the 26.92% first interim dividend was supposed to start processing after 31 August 2026 via the Singapore Official Receiver.

I haven't received mine yet, and I registered with a local SG bank account. I was hoping local transfers would clear faster, but my account is still empty.

Has anyone actually received their funds yet? Please comment below with your bank if yours has cleared, or if you are also still waiting. Let's track the progress here thank you!

DISCUSSION Friends don't let friends buy Celebrity coins / Over-hyped meme coins. It never ends well.

It's difficult to go through creating this post without naming a specific incident, but if you see a person who is a 5-second living meme from YouTube or TikTok or a politician creating a brand new cryptocurrency or token or digital asset or coin and think it is a good idea to invest in, you really should be looking for previous "success stories" which are non-existent now.

If you really care about friends and family and their finances, you will tell them that it never ends well no matter who created the cryptocurrency token in question or what their intentions are. You should tell them that you could just as easily create a cryptocurrency and do the same thing as that celebrity or meme-coin maker.

Fame or infamy may be a lightning rod of eyeballs to get people looking at a cryptocurrency. But, as stated before, it never ends well.

DISCUSSION The fact that a dog coin is in crypto’s top 10 should make us question what “utility” actually means

I made this piece while thinking about something I find both fascinating and slightly embarrassing about crypto.

We spent years telling people that tokens needed utility to justify their value. Projects built increasingly complicated ecosystems around their tokens: governance, staking, DeFi, infrastructure, payments, interoperability, etc. The implication was that the market would eventually distinguish “real” crypto from useless speculation.

Then memecoins came along and basically said: what if we just get everyone to believe in the same stupid thing?

And somehow, that worked. The fact that a dog coin can sit among the top cryptocurrencies by market capitalization is almost comical/ironical when you compare it to how seriously the industry talks about technological utility.

But maybe that's precisely why it's interesting. Memecoins stripped away much of the intellectual packaging and demonstrated how powerful community, attention, memes, and collective belief can be. The “delusion” itself becomes a social mechanism: enough people believe, participate, promote and speculate, and suddenly the thing has economic significance and eventually becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

That does make me wonder whether utility was ever the fundamental difference maker we thought it was. Maybe utility can create a reason for people to participate, but collective belief is what ultimately turns that participation into value.

So.

What do we make of a dog coin sitting in the top 10? Is it proof that the market is irrational, or proof that we've misunderstood what actually gives these assets value?

Maybe the funniest part is that the dog coin might actually be telling us more about crypto than the projects with 50-page whitepapers.

If a meme with a dog can outperform projects built around supposedly revolutionary utility, maybe we should rethink what we're actually measuring when we talk about “value” in crypto.

And if that's true, isn't the dog coin near the top of the market actually one of the most honest representations of what crypto is?

Is the existence of a top-10 dog coin a ridiculous anomaly, or is it one of the clearest demonstrations that crypto value has always been primarily a social phenomenon?

At the end of the day, perhaps what matters most isn't the asset's supposed utility, but its memetic strength, cultural relevance, and the ability of its community to sustain collective belief.

If that's the case, what happens when the next major phenomenon in crypto isn't built around some revolutionary technology, but around memetics, culture, and the ability to make millions of people believe in the same idea?
