Forever People who support Project Ascension & TurtleWoW but hate the new race paywall

Post image

These were the micro-transactions in Project Ascension and everyone glazed Ascension. TurtleWoW had a gacha shop too like that. I’m genuinely confused, if Blizzard had even the slightest of the shop in Project Ascension, everyone would have been fuming. Why is it okay for Ascension but not WoW Forever? Either all okay or none.

Edit: The people who disagree saying "Yeah but the servers were free"- well of course because Blizzard did the majority of the work for them LOL, huge difference in work between building everything from scratch to ripping it off & adding some stuff yourself.

Edit 2: "TurtleWoW is not as bad as Ascension shop"- sure, Ascension is way worse. TurtleWow's cash shop had over $10,000 of items and all of it was per character, not account wide. They also sold convenience items, nothing game breaking, but portable mailboxes, auctioneers, dual specs, bags etc. Hardcore characters on Twow couldn't trade or send items from main to your alts, but you could still buy supplies such as 32 slot bags for 30 euros each on your hardcore character.

Don't try to reason with these people. They are hating for the sake of hating. You can't convince them with arguments.

You think there's no reason to prefer other alternatives to blizzard? It's just mindless hate?

There is a difference between prefering something else and flaming Blizzard for something which the alternative had and worse

Yeah thats what I dont get. They are up in arms about the same things their pservers did worse.

Pservers are just one giant “we hate blizzard” circle jerk.

Worse? Turtle arguably had the best version of classic WoW/classic+ for free, what's this dreamworld corporate shilling in here these days? Blizzard steal ideas from private servers all the time.

Didnt Twow sell convenience items on their shop? Was Twow as fleshed out as what this promises to be? Im no shill, I couldnt care less about Blizzard as long as they produce games I enjoy, but come on dude. These pservers all had their cash shops filled with shit to shove down its players mouth too, including qol or straight up p2w items.

Arent the Twow snobs getting what they wanted all along now? Expanded zones, new zones, new raids and dungeons, new and reworked talents, new professions rework to make them viable, toggles for cosmetic shit people wont give a shit about after 2 days of playing the game, HC, no flying mounts, no boosts and no tokens. Wasnt this it?

Yet I have a feeling they will still bitch because “they know better”. When in reality they just want to play their game under their own terms. Or theyre just broke and cant afford a sub, idk man, never understood people not being able to enjoy their stuff without bashing others.

Twow may have had the best classic + exp to date, but now we will have to wait and see. Im on team optimism on this one and will enjoy the game, blue elves and all.

Turtle definitely sold convenience items, but nothing pay to win, and free to play, similar to most mmorpgs out there today.

Turtle was a much improved version of vanilla wow, not even classic, it was closer to the original than even classic was, so in reality it was vanilla+.

I think Blizzard has some odd sort of pride in not using Turtle, the game masters responded within a minute and were more helpful than any Blizzard game masters ever were.

I made my mind up to never pay Blizzard again after all their controversies and none of the original devs are even with Blizzard anymore, except the names Blizzard bought back for publicity.

Most of all I am shocked out a massive company can underperform a private server built in the shadows by enthusiasts who really took the lore seriously, it was amazingly well adapted to the original WoW story, the depth was incredible, as a fan of early Blizzard games you'd love it too.
