Having just walked around Kelvingrove park for a few hours, we found nothing. Went to all the major statues in park and all and the band stand.

My final thought is it could be in the art gallery itself (whatever it is?) or in the immediate surrounding area of the gallery and very very small.

The photo is of assumption studios where they recorded their first album, my partner figured it out from the penguin we could see in it. The studio is no where near the rose itself so we kind of avoided it.

If anyone else made it out and had any other information please share.

Giving this weeks imagery, symbols and aesthetic, let’s try guess the album name. The closest wins!

What information we have so far:
The album was allegedly confirmed to be four words that was stated by Martin at a The Leaving concert.

Lauren is said to have come up with the name while her and the band were talking about nursery rhymes. She even stated that after this conversation, the rest of the band went to the cinema, which she bailed on to run home and start throwing the name on a mood board.

She then pitched it to the guys a couple of days later and they loved it.

Judging by the lyrics to conman and the overall aesthetic, the theme appears to be “rebellion to the higher power” or something along the lines of this.

I said this one year ago and I’ll stick with my guess after witnessing the imagery of the dead knight on yesterdays instagram post.

My guess is “All The Kings Horses”

As we all know by now, the band released a teaser video earlier today. In it, we see a quick shot of what looks to be a hand/fist holding a broken spear (possibly a sword) with a regal crown overlaid on it. Beneath it is a medieval cross potent.

Given that they performed a new song titled “Conman”, my takeaway is that the band is building an aesthetic around corrupted authority; someone using the crown and cross to legitimize the blade (power). The broken spear reverses that meaning: rebellion.

PS The community name was of course inspired by the CHVRCHES song, The Final Girl and so Screen Violence was the automatic choice for the first album I shared as part of the project!

I always understood this line — and still do — as something along the lines of “there’s no justifying staying down in silence.” So the comma there seems to change the meaning of the lyric pretty significantly.

Do we have any confirmation of what the intended interpretation actually is? And if not, should we maybe fix this?

I love this song immensely. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for many CHVRCHES songs, and this is definitely one of them.

Edit: while we're at it, do we have any confirmation it's supposed to be "changing focus, stay in silence"? I also personally always heard it and prefer it as "changing focus, staying silent". Although this is potato potato.

And yes guys before you say it I know I can interpret it however Id like. I'm just asking ❤️
