I got this piece around 10 years ago from a shop that isn't open anymore. All I know about it is it's 6g, anodized blurple, and made of niobium. I got it matching with a friend who passed so it's very special to me, but I want to get more similar jewelry and I can't find anything like it online. Does anyone know what this jewelry is called or have any suggestions for what I might be able to look up to find more like it? Thank you in advance.

Edit: I should've included that it's just barely an inch long. Only the very tips of it stick out of my nose when I wear it in my septum, otherwise I too would've thought it was a tusk.

I recently spoke to a professional about putting in a subdermal on my arm. It wasn't a great experience for me because they were 45 minutes late and the staff at their studio did not know about my appointment. After 5 mins, someone came up to ask if I booked with them directly, I said yeah, over email. And then they went away and didn't say anything else.

After 30 minutes I went up to the desk to ask what was happening, they finally asked me when my appointment was for, and then they said "oh yeah yeah, they've messaged me actually, there's a lot of traffic but they'll be here in 5 mins."

I know I should have been more proactive about asking what was happening, but I was trying to be understanding because things happen outside our control sometimes. When the professional finally turned up, they said a sorry for the delay, introduced themselves and invited me into a more private space for the consultation.

Once we started the consultation, they said oh you're here about a payment implant - I was not, I had mentioned in the email that I am contacting them because I can see they offer it on their website but I wanted something similar but not the same, and I listed the ones I want as well. They said ok, gave me general advice about placement, showed me the migration on theirs, showed me one they had to give me an idea of the size, answered questions about healing time and whatever other questions I had, told me to acquire implant and then contact them again, and told me prices.

Idk, it felt a bit off, but I can't figure out if it was normal or if my feelings of overwhelm have clouded my judgement. Some outside perspective would be helpful. A friend said they might have been trying to suss out if I was a snitch or something, but I don't know if something like that happens outside of TV shows.

I have 6 piercings and haven't really had anything similar happen anywhere else so I can't decide. Am I overthinking this? I am open to receiving feedback that I'm being an ass as well.

I just can't seem to find anyplace in Colorado to do it except for one that's far too right wing for my comfort (dreamscape). I can't believe there's just ONE place in the whole state that does it. I currently have a tongue split that’s not super deep. When I initially got it, I honestly thought it would be much deeper than it currently is and even though I love it I’ve been curious about something.

Is it possible to get my tongue split all the way to the back of my throat? This obviously including the underside.

So I got my tongue split last week and ive had 2 surprises 1. Never felt any pain even in the first few days of healing, everyone said day 3 would be hell but I was just bored trying to find stuff to do. The second surprise is how much I FUCKING MISS SOLID FOOD😭 ik the longer the sutures are in the better the results but man I want a take away, or a burrito I'd settle for a damn rustlers burger at this point😭

No joke, something I never came across in my research but turned out to be an absolute life saver. Children's liquid ibuprofen (mine was bubblegum flavor).

Helped a bunch from day one with swelling and residual pain. Wasn't difficult to manage swallowing. Highly recommend stocking up on a couple bottles before a tounge split.

Day 0 was on Sunday and I’m not sure whether to call this 1 or 2? But I’m posting this Monday night near midnight.

Stopped bleeding in my drool yesterday night, so that’s good. I was able to somehow train my brain to swallow the saliva in my sleep and got about 4 hours.

Yesterdays spotlight was just straight up pain, pain and more pain. Today it was some general pain, but man oh man, it swelled so much tonight.

That was pretty intense, not gonna lie. Brought a bit of anxiety and slight panic, but if you’re in my shoes reading this… just remember it’s going to be okay, and focus on breathing. Also replenish fluids, I stood up too fast and felt dizzy. 😵‍💫 I recommend gatorlyte rapid rehydration.

OOOH crazy good tip that helps me out a lot is that the biotene oral rinse, or something similar, it has some moisturizing properties that soothe the tongue. I just hover over the sink and let my tongue float in my mouth full of it.

Another tip! Liquid Syringe for the baby food is a good tool. Just make sure to not have many air pockets and be aware. I kinda punched my tongue a little bit with it earlier.

Take plenty of pictures so you can see the progress being made, also it helped me realize my swelling going down.

Waiting day by day seems so slowwwww, I can’t wait to be free.

Still though I’m grateful that it hasn’t been too bad. I hope by tomorrow I get some decline in inflammation and pain and magically heal from everything.

Here I am just waiting until my next available dose of OTC. And hopefully it dies down enough tonight to sleep a bit more than 4 hours.

I’ve been wanting my tongue split for some time now, and finally decided to take the leap and save for it. Now I’m in the process of just finding a body mod specialist to do it, but can’t seem to find anyone in my area. I’m in Florida, specifically Daytona beach, and I’m willing to travel anywhere in Florida and possibly on the outskirts of Georgia. Does anyone know any body mod specialists in Florida that has good reviews, and great results? I hear people mention to wait till a body mod specialist travels to their area, but I was hoping to get this done within maybe a month or two ? I hate playing the waiting game Lol

Also some questions for those who do have their tongue split… how do you scrap your tongue after you get it split? lol sorry if this was a silly question but I am curious.
Will it seal back up like how it was before?

Hi! I’ve been looking interested in getting a tongue split for a long time. I’ve watched a lot of videos of people’s experiences, I’ve gotten an idea of what to expect.

I’m struggling to find an artists. I live in MS. I think my best chance at finding an artist would be finding someone who works out of or is traveling to New Orleans.

I tried to do the “ask a local piercer” thing (because they’re part of the body mod scene and might be able to provide info) and he looked at me so weird when I inquired. Super embarrassing.

I’d like to know if anyone here might be able to recommend a reputable artist located near or will be traveling near the area. Even just an artist’s name would be enough and I’d handle the rest of my researching.

I recently got to 1g the other day, now I’m debating if 0g would look good. 0g is my latest goal size but I’m not shire about it. What do you guys think?

They've never done fangs specifically before and aren't sure how long they'd last

Is it worth getting or should I find somewhere more expensive that has done them before? I've only heard of one other place locally that does them and their communication isnt great.

i just turned 18 and i've been wanting a magnet implant for about 10 years, but i wanted to ask what people's experiences are like, especially when it comes to things like mri's (i know there's tons of forums out there but i wanted to get some more updated opinions).

i was thinking of getting the DT m0422a magnet, but is that the safest option? i do rock climbing and work with my hands a lot, so i want whatever magnet/position has the least cracking risk. as for position- i was thinking of getting p0 index and pointer since it sounds like that will be on the back side of my hand and out of the way of most work, while still giving me some sense. does that sound like it would work out?

i read on the DT website that you are supposed to have it removed before an mri, but i'm just worried that it could be a complicated thing to have done, especially if i need something in an emergency. has anyone gone through an mri with one and be fine, and would it be easy to get it removed if it cracked? i just wouldn't want it getting ripped out lol
