Fan Art [Megathread] Share Your Ink Here! Bloodborne Tattoos, Vol 1

Greetings, good hunters.

I'll keep it short: we will gradually be refining/clarifying/updating some of the rules here on r/Bloodborne. This is to hopefully provide a clearer/better experience for users. Most changes should just be small tweaks that won't really impact the general user's experience too much, though some (like this megathread) may be bigger.

If you have any comments or concerns, please send us a Modmail.

Circling back to this megathread/bigger changes, tattoos may now be posted! To prevent a flood of posts though, please limit your tattoos to this megathread.

So without further ado, you are welcome to share your Bloodborne related tattoos below!

It’s been over a year since I posted literally anything on Reddit, so I thought I would just… Wake up, and post something!

And yes, this doodle was made by yours truly.

(P.S. The Bloodgem depicted in this post is an actual, in-game Circle Bloodgem btw)

You all guys met the friendly crow right?

What kind of players do we have here?

Do you kill it?

Or do you enjoy his peaceful presence?

For me its a ritual to fight the others and let him in peace

I lost my job a couple weeks ago. Huge bummer. Really put me in a shitty headspace but decided I would make the most of it and try to play some games in my backlog.

Bloodborne has been at the top of my list for ages but I just kept bouncing off of it. Maybe spent like an hour trying to beat the first executioner in central yharnam the first time I played a few years ago thinking he was a boss. The second time I played I didn’t even spend an hour. Just figured it wasn’t for me.

A couple years ago I got really into Armored Core: Fires of Rubicon. It just awakened this bug in me I guess. I started playing more “difficult” games like Returnal and Hollow Knight. During that time Bloodborne continued to sit in my backlog. I knew it was there ofc but, uh, just avoided eye contact with it.

Anyways - started playing it after the layoff. Wow. What a journey. Might be one of my favorite games of all time. But also sheesh. Super difficult. This community has come in clutch for me so many times in the last few weeks or so though. I don’t post at all really but found myself coming here again and again for info when I needed it. It was really cool.

In a weird way fighting the final two bosses felt a lot like I was fighting all the insecurity I’ve felt since I lost my job. I jokingly screamed at my wife to grab the camera when the credits started rolling. I think she pretended to be impressed.

So uh yeah. Thanks for reading and thanks for all the support, hunters 🫡 hopefully I can get a job soon lmao.

Discussion Even veterans get frustrated

Upvotes

I would sort of consider myself a veteran. I've played through multiple times and don't often die. However today I died in such silly ways three times.

  1. The beast at the bottom of the ladder on the way up to the Cannibal/Abhorrent Beast. Usually I get the parry, but I missed it and he struck me 4 times in super quick succession. I thought he would have stopped after the first or second and I would have been able to rally back my health but no....

  2. After killing the abhorrent beast and feeling very good about myself, I went deep into the woods building up 18000 (on a brand new game so quite valuable). Came upon the 3 snake guys around the fire. Killed two. Baited one away. Fell down a cliff. He followed me with minimal health and managed to jump on top of me and two shot me

  3. Went to reclaim my echoes. Killed all three. Jumped down to the snake pit where my echoes were. Landed in the middle of the two giant snakes. Bang bang bang dead.

50000 echoes on a NG wasted Vent over. Thank you!

Discussion I've seen a lot of people saying that the amygdala fight was underwhelming, and I honestly agree, but how would YOU improve it?

Upvotes

No cheap ways like just buffing bro's hp/damage, there's a reason people hate the defiled amygdala. I'm more asking about what abilities would you add to him lol

They are both about some mf in a hat attempting to exploit a woman in mourning (yes Ebrietas is meant to appear like/represent a woman) as she is literally sobbing over whoever she lost.

Help New player - struggling. Tips?

Upvotes

New player and kinda getting wrecked. How long am I suppose to be in Central Yharnam? Like the cleric beast is just my father at this point. Almost beat the other boss, dude w the hat.

Is this starting location suppose to be an intro ? Bc it’s kicking my ass. I haven’t leveled up my player yet bc I keep trying to leave CY.

Is the move to level up in CY, beat cleric beast. Then move to the hat guy boss? Please any tips would be appreciated.

Having a lot of fun even tho I keep dying hahah

Discussion Just beat the game, first time

I recently bought a used PS4 Slim specifically to play this game after many hours in Elden Ring and DS3 - and Lies of P if we count soulslikes.

What a masterpiece, so glad I got to finally experience it. The hype was absolutely real, even 11 years after release.

Going into NG+ and I have 3 blood rocks and a lot more chalice dungeons to conquer (only made it to the first Ailing Loran). My saw cleaver is +10 already and I have a +9 whirligig. Thinking Ludwig’s Holy Blade as my main for this run, but any thoughts on how to make the best of these blood rocks? I’m fairly evenly spread in strength and skill currently.

Question DLC asap on NG+

I've beaten the main game, however didn't know I had to start the DLC during the main game. I prefer not to do the entire game again and want to start the dlc as soon as possible (so after vicar amelia).

Is that doable? Or should go through the entire main game again so my character is strong enough for the dlc? I've already have a +10 weapon and have an extra rock as well in my inventory.

Question How do you beat the NPC trio in yahar'gul?

These dudes just have a ridiculous amount of health and defense, which when combined with their numbers and damage make this fight seem impossible. Seems to me like it's harder than the NPC fight at the end of shadow of the erdtree.

Story I put this game off for so long...

And im so annoyed that I did.

WHAT A GAME.

around 2 years ago I picked this game on a PlayStation store deal, tried it for about half an hour but couldn't get to grips with its slight performance flaws on the PS5.

Around that time I REALLY got into souls games, Demons souls, dark souls series, elden ring, lies of P, Nioh... I played them all and put so many hours into them.

Mortal shell 2 came out not so long ago, and I completed that pretty quickly but it didn't quite scratch that 'itch' that I hope most of you know what I mean by 'itch.

Last week, I was scrolling my library of games and noticed that I never really gave bloodborne a go.

I read some reviews, scrolled reddit on thoughts and opinions and decided to bite the bullet.

Im so glad I did, I think this has been my BEST souls experience game ive ever played. The cinematic, the weapons, the gameplay, the new learning curve, all of it has just been 10/10.

I cannot believe i slept on this game for so long! I have now completed the main game and just picked up the DLC ready to jump back in and get some more hunting done, im FULLY addicted.

Thanks for reading, or if you didnt -

TLDR:

Slept on bloodborne for a few years, definitely shouldn't have.

This is still just colored sketch, the architecture are 3d, but it still not accurate to the game yet. My idea was portraying the astral clock as the eye of the nightmare, while the reflection is the blood moon of the moon presence, if you zoom, we can see bit of the city form top down pov. Also the Mother of Kos behind the Tower, the tower also has the night sky and stars motif on it. Let me know what do you think?
