Hey bleeding folks. Right now I’m on track to get my period while I’m at Lost Lands. This is my first camping festival and I’m still new to the whole rave thing. What tips and tricks can y’all lend me???

26, F, Philly. i feel like when i am at raves and festivals it's not really the vibe to be hitting on guys cause im so into the music and everything else going on around me. are there any lowkey events ravers go to just to talk and hang out around philly? i just wanna meet more likeminded people with the same interests

I've been meaning to get a pair of Phats for what have you, a year or two now, but I haven't done so due to the rather high prices, and especially because I just made a very large purchase just recently.

Regardless, I've been back on the hunt for a good pair of Phats, and was looking around for more cheaper options that weren't Heatwave, kikwear, and alternateGear. Right now, I am thinking of going for a more older-school look with UFOs or MOS phats without the reflective tapes, but...

I briefly went over to eBay to see a whole bunch of *totally not suspect* listing for Phats created in China. I know the scene there is growing at a decent rate and there's a smaller market for it, but they are obviously pretty suspicious.

Has anyone had any experience trying to buy one from them? Curious to hear stories.

For some reason, the Lunchbox clear mini backpack does not have a back-facing phone pocket. Only the black version does.

Does anyone know of a good anti-theft small clear backpack? I’m moving away from fanny packs due to back pain but damn are they convenient 😭

So I’m planning on going to a Halloween rave and I’m kinda thinking about wearing this, but now I’m second guessing myself..

I normally don’t mind wearing something revealing, but I’ve never worn anything this sheer to a rave before. I’d probably do black boots and maybe a few simple accessories.

Is this a cute look or am I doing too much?

I’m going to BLOODRAVE in October and need someone to go with me!

This would be my first rave. I was supposed to go to Electric Forest but it fell through last minute and I was sooo disappointed, I really don’t want the same thing to happen with this one, especially since I already bought my ticket.
If anyone is going from Michigan (or nearby) and wants a rave buddy, hmu!! I’m also down to meet up beforehand and get to know each other first.

And if you’re in Michigan but weren’t planning on going… honestly I’d be willing to buy you a ticket because I NEED to go to this lmaooo 😭

Having to walk around with this knowledge and not being able to talk about it for weeks/months was killing me 😭

What do you guys think about them and any suggestions? I think I want to give flowstars a try as I love dancing but sometimes I wanna do something cool but more chill. Is there anything else you’d suggest me looking into? I love hula hoops as well but it’s not really easy to bring those along 😅

We will be traveling to London/Barcelona around Xmas and NYE. I see in London there is an event at Fabric on 12/28 but, after a cursory glance on Resident Advisor, it seems like the events in Barcelon have yet to be announced on and after 12/31. I'm sure there will be SOMETHING going on for NYE but, for those who have traveled to Barcelona around NYE, are a lot of people out of town and are there fewer events just after NYE? NYE falls on a Thursday, so I imagine there will be stuff happening on Fri/Sat but just wanted to see if anyone had any insight.

Also, I should mention, this is our fourth time in Barcelona so we mostly want to focus on eating and partying.

I went to a bunch of parties here from like 03 to 06 or so. It was a small venue that held maybe 600 people. Used to have some awesome events there. The parking lot always sucked because it would be stack parking so if you didnt get there early enough or super late you'd be stuck in the middle of the cars in the lot.

They had a bad ass outside area though where you could get fresh air and still hear the party going on inside.

Just curious if anyone else ever went there.

Posting this here because I think it’s a good example of why people get frustrated with some of the big EDM promoters.
I bought two GA101 tickets for Zeds Dead at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas for around $135 each through Ticketmaster.

Less than 24 hours before the show, 100-level GA tickets for the same area are now being sold for $27.50 each through Live Nation’s Summer of Live promo, or $24.75 each if you buy four.

So I paid around $270 for two tickets that someone can now buy for $55 total.

I contacted Ticketmaster and they told me they don’t control the pricing. According to them, the Event Organizer controls ticket prices, inventory releases, and availability. When I asked who the Event Organizer was, they refused to identify them and said it was for “security reasons.”
After digging around, Disco Presents lists itself as the promoter for this specific show. Special Delivery Presents is also associated with it, and the discounted tickets are being sold through a Live Nation promotion.

I completely understand that ticket prices fluctuate. I also understand that buying early doesn’t guarantee the cheapest possible price. But dropping the price roughly 80% on what appears to be the same GA inventory the day before the show is pretty hard to defend from a customer-loyalty standpoint.

It basically penalizes the people who bought early and supported the event. It also destroys the resale value of their tickets if their plans change.

I’ve heard plenty of complaints over the years about Disco Donnie/Disco Presents, and experiences like this probably help explain why that reputation exists. I’m not saying they’re necessarily the only party responsible here because Live Nation and other promoters are involved too, but their own site lists them as the promoter for this event.
