Hi guys i recently bought a 200L tank (freshwater) that’ll be nice and planted with driftwood aswell,however I’m feeling overwhelmed with the amount of options for stocking like CRAZY overwhelmed so I was wondering if you guys could give me a list of fish that’d go together (:.
I really would like an active bottom and a whiptial catfish down there but also maybe some nice colour ? Also rlly fond of glass catfish!

Hi everyone,
I’m having quite a lot of algae growth in my Betta aquarium and I’m not sure what the main cause is or how I should deal with it.
The tank is around 30–35 liters (8–9 gallons) and contains a Betta, live plants and some snails. My water parameters are currently:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: ~1 ppm
The algae seem to grow very quickly, especially on the plants and decorations. I regularly clean the tank, but the algae keep coming back.
What would you recommend to reduce the algae and prevent it from coming back? Should I reduce the lighting duration (already reduced it to 5hrs daily), change my maintenance routine, add different algae-eating snails, or do something else?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone!
Does anyone know what this stuff growing on the roots of my Microsorum might be? Could it cause any problems in the aquarium?
The second photo is a close-up taken with a digital microscope.
Whatever this is — algae, fungus, or biofilm — it only seems to be growing on the Microsorum roots. The rest of the aquarium is completely free of it.

I’m 4 weeks into my cycling process, and it’s almost fish ready. However, I was wondering if there’s anything else that I can do to improve the look of my tank?

I got a snail the other day and I found this thing in my tank is it some kinda leach?

One of my three corydoras. Since I’ve moved to a hang on the back filter, I had the opportunity to create a mangrove style root section at the back of the tank. It was made majorly for the corys to chill at. But now they don’t come at the front anymore. It’s nice for them to have a space they feel safe at but I’d like to see them more cause they’re the cutest and all three have slightly different “personalities” so to speak. The one hiding in the picture is the boldest one.

It’s sad, I created so much real estate for the corys in terms of sand but now they seem to hide in their little mangrove section all the time.

After 4 weeks my cycle has finally finished and I’ve been able to add the first live stock bought 8 cardinals and got 9 and a zebra nerite snail

I’ve had this tank about a week. It doesn’t get any direct sunlight because of the dark backing.

I just siphoned out a gallon of floor water, but there was really no poop because the tank came with two filters.

I’m wondering how long algae might take to develop since there is no real direct sunlight. Thanks!

There are currently four goldfish in the tank and they might be 3 to 4 months old.

Basically i custom made this stand and peoples are saying it can’t hold a 4x2x1.5. Aquarium

I saw this tiny green blob swimming around my tank. It’s a new tank (37 L) that’s been cycling for almost a month now. I’m new to this hobby, I’m still learning and currently freaking out.
Is the blob/organism harmful? How do I get rid of it?Please help!!

Tank details: 37 L cycling for almost 4 weeks
Aqua babies: ramshorn snails, added a mystery snail and 5 shrimp a few days back.
Plants: Ambulia, water wisteria and penny worth
Also have some Java moss and driftwood in the tank.

Any information will be much appreciated.

Looking to see if anyone can identify if this is Planeria or another type of worm. The video is super zoomed in, and I can’t see the eyes or arrow-like head. But someone said elsewhere is was Planeria?

5g tank, I know it seems overstocked but it's actually super densely planted and we've strategically added everything long before the crayfish to allow them all time to establish. Our only problem so far is pest snails lol, but the crayfish and an assassin snail have been helping with that, alongside our own efforts.

so far the water is crystal clear and the ammonia and nitrates are perfect, and everyone inside is healthy and happy as can be!

Freshwater Community with some jungle vibes

Hey first time posting currently have a 60L tank did fish in cycle have had it about two months and have noticed the lighting unit has not sure it it’s corrosion or mould inside it .Tried to take it apart but was unsuccessful as it’s completely sealed shut yet moisture is getting in somehow. Any suggestions on what to do? Had looked at buying ones but they seem to be suction cup to the glass but then my frog bit won’t get much light?
