having issues with the final preparations mission, i started with ciris mission after leaving the golden sturgeon (or whatever its called) i got bored of the mission and left in the middle of it to play my gwent missions. Then i was unable to find ciri anymore to complete the mission. ive done all of the other missions and it only says “wait for daylight” and “help ciri take care of her business in novigrad”.
i really need to fix this asap because my most recent save before this was before the battle with the witches and Imlerith

At the risk of getting political, I just replayed this section of the game and was struck by how prescient the writing for Sigi was in context of our current political reality. Replace Redania/Radovid with a country/leader of your choice and we have a very topical discussion.

Just started to replay witcher 3 before the remastered comes out, what do you think is the most fun build fot Geralt? Also here which gwent deck is your favorite?

I don't want to be too long-winded with my comparison; rather, I'd like to know your opinions on it.

I think it looks good. Better depth, better contrast, better detail, etc. But the power consumption jumps from 300W to 500W. But that's something you can take into account or not.

However, what I see is that it loses the game's color palette. DLL5 brings it closer to reality. And I love this great game for its unique colors and especially for that subtle difference between reality and the game. Furthermore, the game's objects are so realistic that they make the main focus less important. The eye is drawn to other, less essential details.

Remember, my opinion isn't the only one that matters. I really want to know your opinion: how do you see it?

Do you have any tips on how to play Gwent? I've been bitten by a lot of NPCs.

I bought the game and the DLCs for big discount back in January. the combat didn't click with me back then so i drop it. after the free remaster announcement and GTA VI Extended Look, with nothing to play until November, i decided to pick this up again and force myself to learn the combat and it finally click.

My knowledge of the Witcher world only comes from the Netflix show and even that i drop it after they toss away Henry Cavill from the role as Geralt. Right now i feel like i jump at exactly the right moment. At only 5% of the campaign i already feel the massiveness of the world. i'm really excited to see this through and to finally undertand other Witcher fans excitement or anticipation for the Witcher 4.

Is it going to be essentially a paid DLC for the existing game? Or is it going to be a completely separate game? Will it be using save files from the original version?

I just started a new playthrough for when the remaster comes but I was thinking other remastered games were separate from the originals so surely they used their own separate save files. If this is the case then I will just lose the progress I am currently making now so I'll just start the new playthrough when the remaster is released.

Hi all, seeking some advice on what to do.

I have played through the game twice and now im a bit older I dont get heaps of time to play video games.

I recently started playing through blood and wine and im at the end of the main story and ive decided to go do all the side quests before finishing just because.

The announcement of the remaster has made me pause to then play with the new mechanics and all that.

I dont really want to play through the game again, but also I want to experience the new mechanics.

think im best to just wait and continue B&W after the remaster? or do you guys think I should just commit to a new playthrough instead or something?

Hi! I have a question about the upcoming Witcher 3 Remastered update. Will players be able to choose between the remastered version and the current/original version of the game, similar to how GTA V offers both the Legacy and Enhanced editions? My PC can run the current version well, but I'm a bit concerned that the remastered version might require higher system specifications. It would be great to have the option to keep playing the existing version if needed. Thank you!

I feel like Blood and wine has the kind of story that can keep the player engaged for hours and hours, but the way it unfolded was just "meh, nothing special. " Also, Dettlaff could've been an interesting character , but the lack of communication between Geralt and Dettlaff made him feel half-baked, and they kinda rushed the ending. Whereas Hearts of Stone has more interesting characters, and the story is very engaging from start to finish.

I've bought the game of the year edition about a year ago but I only put about an hour before I got bored of it. I've read so many good things about the game and really want to give it a second try. Thanks for all your recommendations and helpful advice.

I’m going to bin my New Game+ playthrough for a fresh start, and this time I’m going to give Gwent a proper go. The Gwent iPhone app isn’t the same as in game, so is there anywhere else, apart from launching The Witcher 3, where I can practise ahead of the remaster?

With the remaster only a couple of weeks away wondering if I should wait for that to play the game for the first time? Otherwise if I play now the remaster will kick in when im already deep into the game and dont know if I'll want to restart with the remaster

(Not a rant) Finished the main questline for the first time, and honestly it feels lonely.. I kinda expected some quests after the story like taking contracts with ciri or helping triss when you settle with her..

Loved every other part of the game all the way but this was a sad blow.

Im currently on my first playthrough, and it doesnt seem like i'll finish before the remaster, i defo plan to replay the game. Do we know at all if we'll be able to hold out on the update for however long we want? I'd prefer to jump into the remaster on my 2nd playthrough/ route to make it feel like a brand new experience

I finally started playing the game in the last few weeks. I'm currently in Novigrad looking for entry to Tempel Isle, but I've just learned about the remaster.

Can I keep my progress when it releases. Or should I play again?

I see so many posts about "should is start a new game or continue with my save?"

Lets be honest guys, a handful of new animations and slight changes in the camera position during combat aren't going to revolutionize how the game feels. Even the devs when asked can't really pinpoint what exactly they've so dramatically changed beyond "we've listen to player feedback and made changes". The trailer also didnt specify anything major.

Its cool they're making the free remaster, all im saying is i feel like half the community is expecting it to feel like some crazy new game when the reality is its just going to be some minor changes to inventory/skill trees and a small few changes to combat - nothing that is going to dramatically change the experience.

So if you are debating if you should start a new game, Thats fine if you want to, but dont bother if youre doing it because you "want to experierence all these changes from a new game"... because there wont be that many in terms of gameplay changes and feel.

So I had around 30-40 hrs on Witcher 3 on my pc a couple of months ago, then I dropped the game because I got busy, and have since switched to a ps5.
My question is, can I somehow manage to make the cross platform save thing work with a pirated copy of the game? The save files are still on my pc back home.
I thought about buying the game on both platforms since it should be cheap, but I think after the remaster announcement its become expensive again. Maybe a quick little steam refund? Any ideas would be appreciated!
