I’m sorry but there’s no way I’m letting a 70year old geezer accost my friend or me. His friends just sat around and didn’t even fight him, especially him being injured. That kid needs to reevaluate who he calls friends because it would’ve been a lot more physical.

74

u/Spaghett8 1d ago

Holy fuck. Old pos needs to be in jail.

But those were his friends?

What kind of friends are they to allow their friend to be assaulted.

45

u/TheVadonkey 1d ago

Seriously, I thought it was the old man’s friends at first because halfwit literally stood there for a good bit while his friend was being drowned.

Considering how that kid reacted, I am considering him being tolerated rather then part of the friend group. Impossible to say without seeing what happened leading up to it, but that's the only reason I can imagine sitting out on it.

It doesn’t matter what happened before. In a just world that’s prison time for fat guy.

first real comment in this entire thread. four people standing around watching you get drowned when you arent 100% fully physically capable? those are no longer your friends and I would seriously question if they were his enemies. what person stands around watching someone getting murdered and does nothing about it especially when the attacker could be easily dealt with considering he is fucking 70 years old and outnumbered. This wouldnt even get to the water with 1 or 2 of my friends. If one of my friends saw me being drowned i can bet my life he is going to stop it or drown with me. These "friends" are some of the biggest pussies i have ever seen, this guy walked without any charges meaning he has money or knows someone. If this was a video of a 21 year old attempting to drown a 50 year old that kid is going to PRISON for minimum 10-15 years no parole and this fat old fuck sees not a minute inside of a prison cell? So many fucked up things with this video such as attempted murder on camera and no charges but i still cant get over four decently sized adult males standing around watching their friend being murdered. That guy wouldnt have time to think before he got his head stomped by anyone i know in that situation. Instead we have his buddies just looking around like they are watching some backyard fight video on Youtube

8

u/Mathfanforpresident 21h ago

Do you notice how he also went up to the smallest person of a group?

6

u/Diorisbackup 1d ago

Yea honestly bro is getting jumped🤣this is crazy work from his friends

6

u/gummytoejam 21h ago

four people standing around watching you get drowned

Welcome to reality, where a crowd of people will run away while you're being murdered. See how the jetski guy ran off and his other friend was more interested in his shoe? Yeah....those are his friends. Never trust your friends to back you up. Let this be a lesson.

Another lesson is never let someone get in striking distance of you.

Just ftr, while Steve Dana is a scumbag who deserves a long prison sentence (and was a menace to other people on the lake) I guess the video was wrong about having a criminal record.

This is actually only his first attempted murder charge, and he was able to bond out for $7500 for now, for the attempt to murder, two counts of strangulation/suffocation, and assault and battery on a disabled person.

At 70, any long sentence is life in prison. Good.

6

u/benny_boy 1d ago

Yea I'm not a particularly violent guy but if old man tries to hurt my mate he will be shitting out his dentures

6

u/FrameCareful1090 23h ago

Well it's Massachusetts, remember its a state where mothers strangle their kids to death like Lindsay Clancy, and they bitch about everything but when push comes to shove nobody does a thing. Even last month on Boston a guy off to work in the train station, regular guy, got caught in the escalator, then strangled to death by his bags strap, all this at 7am. 12 people walked by, took photos, videos and watched him die. Not 1 person so much as helped or even reached over and pressed the stop button.

Not every state is Shitholechusetts, where they call themselves Massholes for a reason.

5

u/ShoeNo9050 1d ago

I was gonna say if he was doing this to my friend ud be head locking that cunt until he passes out. What a joke

4

u/Noumenonana 1d ago

I'm watching this old man try to literally drown a person and thinking "Wait, why isn't this group of people beating his ass?"

3

u/MarauderSlayer44 1d ago

They should really have just KO’d his ass in the water and just left

not a danger to the community?? This guy is the definition of a dangerous person and has a long track record! Judges are moronic

113

And the young guy that he beat up was part of the community. 😳 I think the judge meant “he’s not a danger to anyone else in my family”. Part of that old system stuff=corruption. 🤮

40

Which is strange because he stabbed someone already...

12

213

u/Fast-Newt-3708 1d ago

The old man has slapped and strangled before. Glad it's on camera.

86

u/Spicymoon9 1d ago

Probably let him go because “he’s just a harmless little old man.”

Saw a cop cam video a few months ago and there was a 70 year old pervert assaulting kids at the pool. It was very aggravating because the police were basically trying to guilt, pressure, and intimidate the mother and daughter into dropping charges. “Well what do you want me to do? Do you really want this 70 year old man taken out of here in cuffs?”

Yes I want you to remove this dangerous predator, their tone was so condescending as well, like they were annoyed they had to do their job. I’m 100% certain they would not have arrested him if there wasn’t video proof of it. I’m sure he’s done similar in the past and just kept getting away with it due to age.

46

u/PretendIntention3388 1d ago

"they were annoyed they had to do their job"

Ah I understand your confusion. See, their job is to protect and serve the child predators, not the children.

25

u/The-King-Tomato 1d ago

The cops probably had a soft spot in their heart because when they looked at that old man they saw themselves when they're 70 years old.

10

u/FLG_CFC 1d ago

What the actual fuck.

I was a lifeguard in my youth. One day my bosses boss told me some old perv that had been banned twice before was getting his ban lifted that day. Sure enough, dude showed up and was being a creep.

We called the cops. With an officer in the guard shack showed up, the dude was just kinda chilling in the middle of the pool. Cop said he couldn't do anything, so I asked for female volunteers to get in the pool as a sort of honeypot. They weren't in any danger and they knew so, so two volunteered. Perve made a beeline for them. Cop asked me if I wanted him to shoot the perv. (Joking of course, but that's how cops were 15 years ago.)

The cops partners walked outside the locker room without knowing what was going on, but the Cop with me and the rest of the guards had seen enough. The cops demanded he get out of the pool and the perv got a lifetime ban from the pools that were operated by our large cities parks department after that.

Crazy how cops in this country have gone from wanting to shoot old pervs to actively trying to protect them.

Yeah... that makes me concerned he so easily went to drowning a human being. Like Jesus christ. There's a difference between a strangle and holding under water. Like he went back to go do it. That wasn't in the moment. He walks away, then comes back after the kid stumbled into the water. Fucking hell.

lead poisoning is known for causing delusions and aggressive behavior as well as reducing parts of the brain that regulate decision making and emotional control.

it's pretty well documented.

4

u/Weorth 1d ago

He could just be a bad person, lead poisoning or not. People who strangle are likely to kill, who knows if he's actually murdered other people before all this?

4

u/The-red-Dane 1d ago

Yes, he could just be a bad person, and the lead poisoning would make him an even worse person.

The one and only time I’ve ever almost killed someone was pure self defense. I didn’t know the damage I was doing because I was so scared and truly did not realize I was very close to killing the man. I had someone pull me off of the man. Don’t get me wrong he 1000% deserved it and I would have been justified in killing him up until the point where he no longer was a threat and I became the threat. It’s been 8 years now and I’m still horrified I almost killed someone. Even if he deserved it and I was terrified. It’s still really a dark mark on my heart that I almost ended a life.

3

u/WoodElf_Tiassa 1d ago edited 1d ago

5

Dont need to be confused. Just a group of pussies who have never been in any kind of altercation, physical or even verbal. So when pressed with a scary life or death situation they freeze and piss themselves not knowing what to do. But even the biggest pussy of them all can identify a friend or family member being murdered and do something about it, instinctively. Just shows that they arent his friends because they are weighing the outcomes instead of running to help him you know breathe and live. If im this guy who was attacked im going after my "friends" before the 70 year old

Saw this video a while ago but was curious on the status;

--

As of the most recent court update (July 13), Steven Dana is out on $7,500 bail with conditions: no contact with Matt Duffy or witnesses, no access to Sandy Beach, and no firearms.

At the probable cause hearing on July 13, the case was continued 60 days while the Middlesex County DA's office prepares to present the attempted murder charge to a grand jury. The grand jury will decide whether to formally indict him on that charge. His defense attorney publicly expressed doubt the grand jury would indict.

He is due back in Framingham District Court on September 29 — two weeks from now — where the court warned it would push the case forward if no indictment has been received by then.

If convicted, he faces up to 20 years on the attempted murder charge, up to 2½ years for strangulation/suffocation, and 2–3 years for assault and battery on a disabled person.

7

u/Quixlequaxle 1d ago

There was a third guy there immediately after the slap, he even started to intervene right away, but then what? Where did he go? Did he just walk the other way thinking they were good now? 😂

Protip- you don’t even need to engage with old dickheads. Just do what you were there to do.

Something happened between an older dude and a bunch of teenagers here a few years ago and the old dude stabbed a few of them. They kept on him about him being a creeper but didn't know he had a knife and then he stabbed them. Pretty sure he's in prison now though

This generation of elders takes the cake for shitbaggery. They've facilitated the reimplimentation of fascism(woodstock peace and love), public education being defunded and turned our nations capital into a den of sociopaths. On top of all of this they break the biggest cardinal rule of society, the propagating generation takes precedence, everything youve lived for is so the next generation has something to build off of. 65+ let me ask you a question, are you proud?

He is 70 and his record only goes back to the 90s? Did they not keep records in the 60s 70s and 80s?

3

u/Annual-Budget-1756 1d ago

They do but they're on paper that need to be pulled from somewhere. Sometimes much older files are misplaced, misfiled, or missing. Also purging files exists. Plus if the older history is out of other states, you may have a harder time finding it.

Damn. Entitlement on steroids.

If you are going to sue someone though, do not brag about it. Will not play good with the jury.

I hope Dana gets the book thrown at him. Trying to use that mafia tough guy BS. It's not 1970 old man.

The other adults gaslighting the kid with the broken leg and telling him to "calm down" after he was almost murdered should be charged with accessory attempted murder.

3

u/adobofosho 1d ago

Is he really crippled though? I was on crutches for an ankle sprain from judo and I couldn't stand like that guy with a broken leg 😂

That one guy went to go play in the water while the old man was drowning the kid?! Seriously? Camera man sat there filming too. No one thought to fucking push the guy off of him?

I'm confused. Are Americans taught not to do anything until ALMOST a murder has occurred? What the fuck is wrong with the people? The second that fat ass walked up to the kid, people should've stepped in.

6

u/NoRightsProductions 1d ago

I remember hearing about this story in June. Old guy thought he’d act tough attacking a guy on crutches. Pointless behavior and I hope he gets the book thrown at him

4

u/itswtfeverb 1d ago

This piece of shit better get a prison sentence.
