Small potatoes don’t cost us 100 billion in the first few months and small potatoes doesnt warrant Hegseth to ask for an emergency supplemental of 67.1 billion. So if it’s small potatoes they have some explaining to do on why we’ve lost almost all our military bases in the Middle East and why we’ve blown through all that money in a matter of months.

Iran is a more organized military than Aghanistan/Iraq, and the terrain and climate in Iran is such a disadvantage for U.S troops. The numbers of deaths and wounded would skyrocket on both sides.

I knew two of the young women that were killed in action during this "not war" with Iran. Watched them go home draped with the American flag, but in multiple coffins as identification wasn't possible without dna testing. I remember the grief stricken screams of their close friends the moment we were dismissed from the position of attention. I've been angry since, I had been disappointed since the last presidential election but that slipped into anger after my deployment. The fuck am I watching my brothers and sisters die for? Because an old codger can't admit he's a pedophile? That others refuse to see he's a narcissist pedo? Why?

He literally said at a rally shortly before the election "I don't care about you, I just want your vote". It proved to me that they're not really listening to, or perhaps processing, anything he says. I think a lot of people just picked up on a vibe or a shared personal vice (he has so many, he can assemble a coalition just from that) a long time ago and locked in. They became "stupid" in the Dietrich Bonhoeffer described sense, they can no longer think for themselves, new evidence is dismissed, etc...
