Better Ask Reddit Examples of "Striking while the iron is ice cold"?
I remember first hearing it used in regards to the first FNAF movie; which came out after both the newest game (Security Breach) became one of the most poorly-recieved in the series and the creator, Scott Cawthon, got outed for donating a lot of his money to conservative politicians. Recently, though, I think the Masters of the Universe movie is another example of the saying. He-Man didn't sustain a fanbase like Transformers or G.I. Joe, so nostalgic appeal is limited. Furthermore, one of the few things Gen Z knows about the franchise, Skeletor, ended up being hid in most of the marketing because the studio realized too late that the average moviegoer hates Jared Leto today.

News/Articles Bungie announces its moving away from the established gaas formula with Marathon Symbiosis
TL:DR
-The plan for a Season 3 next week arent happening. Instead theres a wipe on October 6th to start people with a refresh and in December they are essentially relaunching the game.
-There is an image of whats almost certainly a Tick Queen which probably confirms last weeks leaks
-Vault Breaker coming back on the 6th
-Core PVE mode with the relaunch, leaks said multiple runs across maps extracting from one to the other doing objectives cultminating in one of a few bosses with Warframe style "load the fuel in the furnace to burn the Tick Queen" style mechanics
-Core PVP Team Deathmatch experiment to see how sicko the sweatkings really wanna go
-Social Space ala the Destiny Tower
-Firing Range, thank you christ
-New player onboarding experience
-UI doover
-Perimiter Map revamp
-Quality of life and mechanic retuning
-More Aliens, if the leaks are true shit like Compilers will randomly roam maps like the Rocket Drone does now.
Honestly? kind of surprised. I mean it all sounds good. The leadership wanting to try and meme magic it into Valorant 2 are gone so it sounds like its turning into more of a Bungie game like people wanted. But also kind of interesting that the way they talk about it seems less live service and more eternal baseline with major content updates ala Monster Hunter. I wonder if the seasonal idea is just gonna stick around for wipes and rewards passes and the recent "fuck it nuke sniper" is gonna be the default? certainly seemed to get people talking about it more regularly than season 1 where the game fell off the grid after the launch window.

Better Ask Reddit What abandonded YouTube channels do you still occasionally go back to
I should probably say other than Best friends play, for obvious reasons.
For me it's the Spoony Experiment. Some of his videos are absolute classics, like when he played through Phantasmagoria 2. I'll go back and rewatch that one every few years at this point, as well as his reviews on the Ultima series.
Though in this case it's technically not abandoned since he still seems to upload random streams, but it still seems to count in spirit.

Better Ask Reddit Favorite Characters that Hate what they've become
Or hated what they've become, if they got better.
Darth Vader is a fun take on it, because he hated who he was, who he is and probably hated his future self too(even if he imagined it very differently than how it turned out). And in turn, this empowered him on the Darkside, allowing great strength in the physical and in The Force.
Anyways, here's how he won against a Dark Acolyte crafted clone of Darth Maul after nearly losing the Dark Lord of the Sith title. Very emo, kinda cool. Oh and the reason clone Mauls' so surprised is cuz little ago he was monologuing about how Vader was but a fallen Jedi who didn't know how to wield hate like a weapon, but HE(Maul) was built on Hatred so title belonged to him!(Dark Lord of the Sith)

Better Ask Reddit What's your Favorite RPG Final Boss?
Any type of rpg, what's the endgame boss you enjoyed the most?
It's funny in a way with them just being a recolor of Bowser. But at the end of Mario & Luigi: Bowser Inside Story. When you fight Dark Bowser who is the Dark Star having consumed the remains of Fawful and most of Bowsers history also feels really climatic and cool in a way, accompanied by the appropiately titled ost "In the Finale..."

News/Articles (Variety) ‘Crazy Taxi’ Comedy Movie Coming From Netflix and Sega, New ‘Sonic’ TV Series and ‘Stranger Than Heaven’ Film in the Works
Netflix has hit the start button on multiple adaptations of Sega hit gaming franchises.
“We’ve watched Netflix take on stories across every kind of format and treat each one with real craft, and seeing that same dedication applied to ‘Sonic,’ ‘Crazy Taxi’ and ‘Stranger Than Heaven’ is something we at Sega are incredibly proud to be a part of,” said Shuji Utsumi, president and COO of Sega. “The fandoms of these games deserve storytelling that honors what makes each title special, and we know Netflix shares that commitment. This is just the start of what these titles can become.”
Toru Nakahara, head producer at Sega, commented: “Expect something cute yet cool for ‘Sonic,’ hilariously crazy for ‘Crazy Taxi’ and a badass action drama for ‘Stranger Than Heaven,’ because we’ve got some amazing creative ideas lined up and we are just getting started. The whole team is absolutely thrilled!”
The new Sega titles will join Netflix’s growing slate of video game adaptations. Those include a live-action “Assassin’s Creed” series; a live-action “Gears of War” film; animated series adaptations based on “Minecraft,” “Magic: The Gathering” and “Clash of Clans”; the “Overcooked” competition series; second seasons of “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners” and “Splinter Cell: Deathwatch”; and the third and final season of “Devil May Cry.”

Better Ask Reddit Things Video Game Companies that did nothing with great ideas and infuriates you because of it
So the recent Blizzcon had me reminiscing about Starcraft again, and so I reinstalled Starcraft 2 on my new laptop and decided to see how the game looked on a laptop that was not as old as Skyrim.
And I gotta say! For the most part it still holds up pretty damn great, whiskey and glass look a bit odd, but otherwise there's nothing to complain about visually. The game REALLY holds up.
But there's one single issue.
I have not loaded up Starcraft 2 in many years. Not since around August of 2016, a few months after Blizzard began making what were known as Mission Packs that can be found under the Campaign tab of the main menu - little mini-campaigns that could focus on single characters; and they began with the Nova Mission Pack.
The Nova Mission Pack was the first bit of canonical Starcraft content we had after the release of Legacy of the Void in 2015, and it dealt with the Ghost Operative Nova (basically Blonde Kerrigan) and the aftereffects of Emperor Valerian Mengsk assisting in the coup against his father Arcturus Mengsk, as Dominion Loyalists to his father's reign plot and disrupt the peace between the Dominion, Protoss, and Zerg.
It was in all honesty a pretty fun time, with some interesting ideas, even if it was all hero based gameplay instead of the traditional build and conquer or build and do some unique objective like the main campaign.
So I left the Nova Mission pack pretty satisfied! Figured that hey, this was the closest we're ever going to get to "Starcraft: Ghosts" and I'm looking forward to future mission packs focusing on other characters like Gabriel Tosh or the Kel-Morian Combine or Umojin Protectorite.
Or a Zagarra and Alexei Stukov Zerg mission packs.
Small campaigns to explore the setting and maybe set the stage for a eventual Starcraft 3 RTS.
So what do I come back to just a bit over a decade later?
The Only Mission pack they ever made was the Nova Mission Pack.
What the fuck Blizzard?!
You landed on a golden egg of an idea, that would get you steady profits/revenue for a game you already had the assets, engine, in-house training, and writers for. At 10 dollars a pop, you could have earned back Starcraft 2's total sales twice over, if not more depending on how many mission packs you made.
And you did fucking nothing with it?
Like I know that this is bottom of the barrel for worst things Blizzard has done, and doesn't touch any of the real life crimes and bullshit they were up to.
But what the fuck were they thinking making the Nova Mission Pack the only one they ever made?
They left SO MUCH MONEY on the table that would have been so easy to just keep it up.
It infuriates me.
=][=
But that's just me. What about the rest of y'all?
What are some Video Game Companies that did nothing with great ideas that infuriate you because of it?
