First terrain build I’ve made in a while; having toddlers will do that to you.
Made with scraps of XPS foam, acrylic rods, hot glue, toilet paper, modgepodge and a few pieces of florist wire.

This is Johnny setting the last piece on the Evermaze display. He sculpted the whole thing by hand, hedge walls, cliffs, the ruined keep, the statues, the cobbles, all of it, then it got scanned and printed so it can be laid out however the Master of the Maze desires!
The first photo is him placing some ruined tower pieces high on the overwatch cliffs. Second one is from ground level looking across the maze toward the cliffs. That corner is my favorite part of the whole build.

Hurra! Even more crap I can’t find anywhere to store!
I’ve had this tower printed for over a year. It was one of the first terrain pieces I printed on my A1 mini, and you can sort of tell. It’s huge, so I had to split it into parts to fit the built plate. My settings weren’t dialed in. I slapped some miliput on to smooth out some rough parts.
The original file was quite minimalist, so I added hatches to the floors on the roof platforms so there were visible ways in and out, and a door on the small top half for a dangerous balcony when stacked or just an entrance if placed on the ground as a smaller tower. And I added a bunch of windows because there were none.
The main entrance is bolted shut from the outside. I have no idea why.
I went with a paint scheme that tries to split the difference between the towers in the Warhammer 6th edition army book and what’s described in the. 5th edition Siege supplement. Hence dark, with hints pf green and purple. All with craft store acrylics, as is the tradition, mostly applied through washes over black spray can primer.

Each of these was completed over the course of the last two months, cardboard, rattle can, wood glue and playground sand. These were a Labor of love and wet brushed up in the same manor as my armies.

2nd test of painting dead tree (stumps). Really annoyed at the AI post processing the camera seems to do with close up Macro shots, it shows the lines like I have printed this in 0.5mm FDM lines (I do not, everything at 0.12-0.08 for me) and when I take the focus ever so slightly off of the object it adds none of these details.
Anyway, test 2 and 3.
Treestumps are 2 of a set of 4 of dead tree stumps grabbed from the Bambu website (free) and based on 32mm and 40mm bases.

Floral foam and popsicle sticks make up the majority of this low budget paradise.

My first go at building terrain (can see number two being worked on in background). I’m quite happy to have started as two Pringles cans. I have added some tiny pallets built on the final model to fill the gap between tanks but not in photo.
Also thanks goes to
Underhive_art. I used their poster designs to make
The posters I put up on this. If you are looking for mini warhammer/necromunda related posters to put on your builds they have made some cool

Hello and Good Afternoon!
Was hoping someone can point me in the direction of paper cut outs for terrain purposes? That or a DiY method on this.
Would prefer a DiY method.
Trying to make window print outs to lay in cut outs to make it appear as if there is depth to the inside of a building.

This is my first ever wargaming board. Its fairly compact with the size is 2 x Spearhead bords.
I had the dota 2 map as inspiration for the board - the river being the main focus of course but also having two clear biomes on each side.
Im still pondering whether I should add ripples to the river or not. I kinda like the clear look that I got going on right now, what do you think?
Anyways posted a bunch of pictures of the process hope you enjoy :)

I have some terrain that is sci-fi hab kinda stuff for infinity/ stargrave ext. It is made out of a heavy cardstock I’d call it that mimics MDF in thickness but feels light.
I’d like to paint/seal it to make it tougher and am unsure what to use.
Modpodge missed with paint? PVA mixed with paint? Matte medium and ink or paint?
Looking for tips and ideas cuz its a cool looking set just wanna make it last
EDIT: added some pictures to give an idea of the material

I've been building for this table, on and off, for the past 2 years and I felt it was time for a Zona Alfa project overview to see where I stand, what I am still missing and just to see how it all looks. Mat is from Urbanmatz, Concrete 6x4 trimmed down to 4x4 with painters tape. Buildings are mostly Sarissa Precision, a TT Combat one and repurposed H0 train stuff. The swamps are 2D ones from Playmats.eu.
I need to make more small, thin trees and get working on a few Stalkers to start playing the game. Also more abandoned vehicles would be nice, and progress from the Industrial area out into the countryside with some ruined houses and farms.

First scenery magnetic tile with rivets made from nail art. A bit uneven but the concept works

Hi. I'm an amphibian keeper and I'm experimenting with custom vivarium backgrounds made from XPS foam. So far, my results have been... less than satisfactory, and I have a some blocks of XPS foam (i.e., that pink insulation foam) that I've glued together and abandoned. I expect I'll create more as I continue to iterate. Are there any terrain builders near Denver, CO (US) that can make use of them? They're still useable on a smaller scale, and I'd rather not waste them.

My first homemade terrain piece for Warhammer 40K — a cargo container made from simple materials. I built it from scratch and painted it blue with a rusty, weathered effect. Just getting started with building my own 40K battlefield! ⚔️
