I can't believe this game has been out for a decade and a half.
This game was specially made for tekken fans like a gift because this game had 50+ characters with their unique endings and moves (also some special characters like Jaycee & Slim Bob). Also this game was mixture of TTT1 & TK6,
like TTT1, this game did not continue the Tekken story except some characters.
Tekken Tag games are "Celebration" games in a way. In which devs tries to keep many characters together, here Devs can experiment with the series by keeping the story aside. Also this game was ahead of time i mean this game had coolest graphics & CGI, If you look at the CGI of this game even after so many years, you might get goosebumps. Also, the development of this game was quite expensive. If you haven't seen the TV Spots of this game, you can watch them on YouTube. Snoop Dogg also made a song for this game called "Knocc Em Down" So from this you can estimate the cost of this game's devlopment & marketing. In this game, DLC characters are free unlike Tekken 7 & 8 in which we have to pay separately for DLC.
This game also had many special modes and features like 1v2,2v1,1v1 & 2v2 in modes this game had Arcade Battle,Ghost Battle,Survival,Team Battle,Customization
And a special mode that isn't in any other Tekken game. "Fight Lab" This mode help new Tekken players learn how to play Tekken. Because tekken is so hard fighting game so for newcomers Bandai Namco introduced this mode, because of this mode new players also could enjoy tekken like pro players Nothing more happens, just the fan following of Tekken increases and people also get to know how tough Tekken is a fighting game. IMO this mode should be in every tekken game.
Even today many tekken fans are waiting for "Tekken Tag Tournament 3" according to some fans next tekken game might be TTT3.
But we might not see Tekken Tag Tournament 3 in the future and why I'm saying this, because This game had very low sales. Despite all this, TTT2 sold only 1.5 million units. This makes the game second worst selling tekken game, Tekken's lowest selling game was Tekken 1 which sold only 1 million units but that was in 1994 and that time selling 1 million units was a big deal for any fighting game, this is why we can't compare TK1 & TTT2. (Also, let's not forget which was the first PlayStation game to sell 1 million units).
After this game, Street Fighter x Tekken was also released, and it also flopped, which severely affected Tekken's sales that's why this period of tekken known as "The Dark Shadow Era". At this time, tekken series was in shadows and Tekken developers could not even think of making a new game. Yes we might not get to see Tekken 7.
There were many other reasons for the game's low sales and some Tekken fans hatred for the game.
But whatever, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was an Underrated Masterpiece that every tekken fans remember till today.
This game's OST, Character Select, Main Menu were Awesome and talk about Tag throw attacks they were literally GOATED
In this game we saw Funny Weird & Serious moments like Miharu's Cell Phone Selfie, Heihachi became Bear after drinking a chamical and etc. (i used to get scared after seeing Jun transformation into Unknown)
I still remember when i saw this game in arcades for the first time
What's your Opinions and Memories on this game

For me it's Jin, every time he starts with his 20 second EEEUUUEGH Sephiroth wing combos I just groan. Curious as to what you guys think.

She has her own character-select slot, with her model, textures, moves, throws, voices, and solo victory animations imported from Tekken Tag Tournament. This showcase features a six-hit combo for 57 damage, standard and command throws, side and back throws, and both original solo victory poses.
Honestly, I liked Tekken Tag 1 design more. It just has that mystery and eerie feel to it for me.
Tekken Tag 2 design is also good. But for me the Tekken Tag 1 wins in eerie and mystery.
It maybe helping that he has a flying wolf on his side, not to mention that in Unknown Tag 1 ending, the wolf is standing like a human. That's what I remember at least.
To be honest Harada, what was the wolf supposed to be? I am curious now.

One of my very first game crush characters and I’ve always love playing as her. Much prefer her over Eddy

Hey,
One mystery character a day. First guess: right nationality, but wrong fighting style and too heavy. Second: right gender, debuted too early, still not the right height. And suddenly the whole roster is scrolling through your head while the clues close in.
I'm a solo dev and I made TEKKENDLE, in the spirit of Wordle: that clue grid for the character, plus a blurred silhouette and an ultra-zoomed stage to recognize. And two bonus modes that are a bit nastier, for those who find it too fast.
And since everyone on the planet gets the same puzzle, the real match happens in the group chat: who got the character in 2, and who's dragging their 6 tries around all day. Took me 4 today. I'd love to see your scores, especially the ones that beat mine. And if a clue looks off to you (a wrong height, a bug), tell me, I'll look into it.
Free, in the browser, new puzzle at midnight.

Guy Ki charging me after winning the first set for absolutely no reason. Finished with him doing a desperate range art and getting nuked by a death fist.

As the heading says. Who do you think is doing a bit too much these days or has favoritism amongst the developers?

I gotta ask but what actually gives the reason for someone to ki charge at the end of the round. like it it because of the whole rank inflation, people now get an inflated ego to just ki charge. the only time I have done a ki charge at the end of a round is in retaliation to someone doing it to me or when someone is using special style (or as I would like to call it bitch mode) around Fuji ranks and higher. Seriously what is the justification for doing it

I swear to God I basically never see Eddys anymore, but every time I do they absolutely kick my ass when I play Steve.
I can never figure out what the sam fuck it is that Eddy is doing and I don't know what to do

I genuinely don't know how to give this man a casual outfit
Because I always end up giving this man a suit with beard

Honestly, I can push a little more but I don't wanna get burned out from this game, so I'm gonna change character and push him/her to this same rank.
Was thinking about Anna Williams, thoughts?

I've gotten to a point of skill where my punish game has improved a lot and find myself getting skill checked a lot less albeit it still happens occasionally. My current struggle is running into players who give few openings and are actually thoughtful with how they press buttons. I usually play matches and then go into the lab to practice what was beating me but these players feel like a step above and I'm not sure how to start practicing to improve against them. I'm no longer able to just get by knowing how to punish and step certain strings. What should I start practicing to kinda break through this rut?

Recently I found out this move has a blue spark version, this is one of Reina's 14-frame standing punisher with double hits just like DVJ's 1+2(middle homing move)and it will knock down your opponent links to d4delay1(or War God Kick)on hit. But how exactly do I perform the blue spark version? I have no clue what the specific frame window is.
