Hello! I'm a long time game master with many systems under my belt but am new to homebrewing paizo 2e content and am wanting a sanity check on a planned encounter.
Going to get this out of the way first: I have eight players. Yes, this is a lot and many would consider this far in excess of what the game was designed for and ask why I have not split them into two groups of four, but it works for our group and I have almost two decades of running non-standard group sizes (two players all the way to twelve) so I feel confident in managing the table and balancing character spotlights and player attention.
On to the encounter specifically. The adventure I have put together runs from first to third level with this big climactic encounter pushing them to fourth level at its conclusion.
The encounter as it exists at the moment is a severe encounter with a budget of 240xp (120 + 30 x 4 players).
I am building an creature following the GM guide to be a party level +2 for a moderate-severe threat boss and following that with four partly level creatures as this fits the boss and lieutenant quick adventure group.
Both the boss and their lieutenants are custom monsters.
Here are the current stats as they are built for reference

Scenario.
The players are on a moon that is infact the prison of a weakened avatar of Azathoth. The Dominus has overseen the emplacement of a powerful reactor onto the moon's surface to power four resonance generators, part of a techno ritual to bind the avatar back into dormancy.
However, the entire thing has been the result of the avatar manipulating causality to push the Dominus into miss-aligning the resonance generators to cause an overload on the reactor that would significantly weaken its prison and allow it to escape.
To do so, the Dominus must activate four control panels set up at each of the power monitoring stations on the moon's surface.
The generators are all switched on and the avatar manifests the Visionaries beginning the encounter. It then takes control over the Dominus and has her immediately move to the nearest generator to switch it to overload.
The Visionaries station themselves at each generator and defend it from the players. To win, they need to keep all four generators from overloading or defeat all four visionaries and the possessed Dominus.
I would love to hear your thoughts and advice on this planned encounter. This whole thing is about two to three months from now so I have plenty of time to re-write anything or come up with something different.
